I highly suggest any highschool or university lecturer that they never implement this website into the curriculum. I had get up to 1390L in score and it took hours in which absolutely nothing. The que... Ver más

WORST SCHOOL PROGRAM EVER
ReadTheory is a deeply flawed…
ReadTheory is a deeply flawed educational platform that often frustrates both students and educators. Its content lacks depth, failing to engage learners meaningfully. The reading passages are often uninspiring and repetitive, which can lead to disengagement and disinterest in reading altogether. Additionally, the platform's assessment methods are overly simplistic, providing minimal feedback that does not foster critical thinking or deeper comprehension skills. Many users report technical issues and a confusing interface, further detracting from the learning experience. Overall, ReadTheory does not effectively support literacy development and can hinder rather than help students on their educational journeys.
ReadTheory is non-functional.
While ReadTheory is a neat concept, it lacks in actual function. The Lexile levels are beyond stupid, giving you easier articles when you get a question wrong. The answer system is absolute garbage. At a low Lexile level, you get normal questions that actually have distinguishible differences in answers. When you get to a high Lexile level however, it gives you questions with extremely similar answers, basically making you guess. I would rather read an entire book than read another one of these stupid articles.
Ridiculous Expectations for Answers
Says an answer is incorrect even if it has credibility and logic to back it up -- options for answers are more or less the exact same as each other and it is impossible to choose the right one without guessing.
READTHEORY SUCK MAKES ME WANT TO SHOOT…

I got 2 questions wrong and I didn't pass
Awful
the questions are awfully worded, and most answers are opinionated
Horrific
Horrific. The answers are highly subjective and down vote the child for answers that are logically also correct. Highly demotivating even to strong readers and makes children stressed with busy screen and adverts.
Worst school progam ever
Worst program ever
I have to use this for school and it is about as useful as a knitted condom. I have learnt absolutely nothing from this god forsaken app and i hope it gets taken down. The questions are another thing aswell, "How many hairs did Adolf Hitlers mustache have when he came to power. i hate this app
kys shagtheory
i hate readtheory with a burning passion and makes me feel like i want to bathe with a toaster and itch my eyeballs with a blender, i dont see the point of this app because i can read, tell your school to buy more gluesticks or buy a packet of hoola hoops to give to the pidgeons outside, its more productive than buying this horrible sh**t take of an app. the questions are pointless too,
'how many hairs were on johnnys balls in 1939 when he was invading Poland?'
i dont see how that will benefit me in the future or how it will benefit my schools financial problems.

im literally in year 8 and when i get like 1 question wrong it puts me down to like year one and gives me questions like what colour is a traffic light, this website is so stupid and makes me feel stupid too. fix ur stupid website before i lob my head out my window.
The grade
I literally doesn't even bump me up, it only makes me go down or keeps me at the grade I ALREADY AM AT!
I hate it.
I hate it because when my child picks the right answer. It goes to the wrong answer. I don't recommend this for your child. It will made your child feel dumb.
Wonderful website!
Personally, this is a great and wonderful website that really test your knowledge upon answering the correct choice. Above all, the website design looks very modern and I really like it gives explanation if you get it wrong. My teacher's would recommend to use this website as our English homework.
Horrible grading system
Every single time you fail, even a SINGLE quiz, you go back a grade. Even if you fail ONE SINGLE QUIZ, you go back a grade.
You could have just spent so much time getting back to a grade, and then when you don't understand the undetailed question, you fail. and go back a grade.
It should be if you fail 3 quizes, not one.
Also, if there are 5 questions and you get 3 right, that is still a fail. if you get most of them right that is still a fail. and most of the time the questions don't even make sense.
Should Be Banned
This is terrible. I was told that children felt dizzy and got headaches from no dark mode. You would think that is focus mode but no. Focus mode is just a button to click as a substitute for f11.
When you fail a login it VISIBLY CHANGES THE URL
so nothing is stopping the kids from logging into the others' accounts and putting them down a grade erasing a load of progress.
