WAS GIVEN DIRTY CAR

The 1st car I rented from them was great. It was new and no issues. Once the car reach 50,000 miles they swap you into a new or lower mileage car. It was time for me to swap but this 2nd car had 7,000 and had been previously rented out. THE CAR WAS FILTHY! STAINS ON ALL SEATS AND FLOORBOARDS, NO FLOOR MATS PROVIDED, DIRT AND DEBRIS EMBEDDED INTO CARPETS SO BAD THAT THE VACUUM COULD NOT GET THEM CLEAN! SOMETHING STICKY ON THE TRUNK THE CAR WASH COULD NOT GET IT OFF AND IT SMEARS WHEN I TRY AND WIPE IT. ALL THIS WAS BROUGHT UP AT THE TIME OF PICK UP BUT THE GUY BRUSHED ME OFF AND SAID THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE THEY HAD!

STILL WAITING FOR SUPPORT TO GET BACK TO ME ON IF I CAN SWAP OUT TO A NEW VEHICLE BUT I DOUBT IT VERY MUCH!

LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A RENTAL FOR UBER/LYFT BECAUSE THIS COMPANY THE COMMUNICATION IS BAD AND THEY ONLY LIKE TO SWAP YOU VEHICLE IF THE MILAGE IS HIGH

Ready2Drive is trash

Ready2Drive charges $73/day — which is higher than many Houston rental options that offer better vehicles, clearer policies, and real support. Enterprise and Turo only reach those prices after airport surcharges and mandatory insurance fees, but Ready2Drive charges premium rates without providing premium service. For rideshare drivers who depend on uptime and reliability, this pricing makes no sense. Better options exist in Houston for less money and far fewer headaches.

In my experience, Ready2Drive operates in a way that feels predatory toward Lyft and Uber drivers. They advertise “rideshare‑ready” vehicles and claim to support drivers, but what you actually get is sloppy communication, chaotic scheduling, and staff who act like they’re doing you a favor just by showing up. Nothing ran on time, nobody seemed organized, and every interaction felt like pulling teeth. If you value your time, money, or sanity, avoid this place. Houston has better options — literally anywhere else.

One of the most damaging issues is their vehicle deactivation policy. If anything is late — a payment, a check‑in, or a required update — they shut off the vehicle after an unreasonably short period with no grace window. No warning, no flexibility, no consideration for the fact that drivers are actively working. Your car can deactivate mid‑shift, leaving you stranded, unable to complete rides, and losing income instantly. For a company claiming to support rideshare drivers, this practice is reckless, disruptive, and completely unacceptable.

The vehicle I rented also had serious tire issues that were never fixed.
I reported the problem three separate times, specifically that the tires were repeatedly becoming deflated and triggering tire malfunction warnings on the dashboard. Each time, I took the vehicle to their shop. Three visits. Three reports. Zero repairs. They never corrected the issue, never replaced the tires, and never addressed the malfunction warnings.

This is a major safety risk for both drivers and passengers. Instead of fixing the problem, the company came to pick up the vehicle, and unbelievably, they had a pregnant woman drive it away despite the unsafe tire condition and malfunction alerts.

That alone shows how little regard they have for safety, liability, or basic responsibility. I have video and photos documenting this entire situation and can provide them to anyone who needs proof.

Ready2Drive is one of the worst rental options for rideshare drivers in Houston. The cars are poorly maintained, the customer service is slow, and the whole operation feels disorganized. Every issue — mechanical, billing, scheduling — becomes a headache. When you depend on a vehicle to make money, you can’t afford constant downtime, surprise fees, or staff who don’t care. Ready2Drive cost me time, money, and patience. I wouldn’t recommend them to any driver trying to stay productive.

If you’re a rideshare driver in Houston, avoid Ready2Drive. The cars are not properly inspected, the staff is unresponsive, and the company shows no urgency when your income depends on their vehicle. I dealt with mechanical issues, long waits, and zero accountability. Every hour your car is down is money lost — and Ready2Drive doesn’t seem to understand that. This place is a liability for anyone who needs a dependable rental to work.

$73/day is extremely high for a rideshare‑rental in Houston, and the data backs that up. Most competitors land between $45–$60/day all‑in, while Ready2Drive charges $73/day without offering top‑tier service or vehicles.

Last but not least, the vehicles come equipped with cameras — and based on my experience, it feels like they may be collecting driver and passenger video without clear transparency. For rideshare drivers who value privacy and safety, that alone is a deal‑breaker. Think about it people... there is reason they do not ask for a deposit.
