Excellent All Round
Excellent customer service. I was able to easily communicate via watts app. I showed them photos of both moulds via watts app and they verified before I sent so no time wasted. Straight to the point. The retainers were for my Son and he says they are excellent quality and far more comfortable than the NHS ones he had. We previously had a bad experience with a different company who took our money and didn’t supply us the retainers! So using this company was a breath of fresh air. The kit that arrived was easy to use.
We were over the moon with the results of the retainers and quality.
Don’t fit well, missing half a tooth!
Ordered a top retainer, using a mould kit which they sent me.
Their communication is pretty unprofessional and I immediately knew this was some sort of setup in a garage in London, as opposed to people who knew what they were doing (ie. Any form of dental training).
The retainers have been received and they don’t fit properly, with both sets missing half a tooth at the back of the retainer. I’ll amend my review depending on how they deal with this issue.
With regards to their reply - I will certainly change the review when I have two retainers that fit properly. Their use of English isn’t good and feels unprofessional as a customer and the whole thing doesn’t feel like I’m communicating with a legit company - that’s my honest experience.
Rather than focus on getting it right, they want to deflect - that too isn’t very professional. My other negative reviews are the result of bad experiences… funnily enough.

Same day retainers in London
I was looking for a same day retainer service in London after getting my braces removed but not being able to get a retainer from my dentist until a week later. I found Retainer Xpress on Google and booked an appointment for 3pm to have my impressions done. By 530pm I had the retainer and it fitted perfectly. Very happy with the service and they even stayed late to finish the production for me. Feel very satisfied knowing my teeth won’t move back in the week while I wait for my aligners/retainers to come from my normal dentist. I couldn’t find many options for same day service on google but these guys delivered!

My daughter broke her retainers 2 days before we were due to go on holiday. Not wanting to be without them while we were away, I found Retainer Xpress online and arranged for same-day service the next day - dropped off moulds on the way to work for collection on the way home - could not have been more convenient and a quarter the price of the orthodontist!

I ordered a retainer from here as I had just finished Invisalign and composite bonding and had up to a 2 week wait for my retainers to arrive from Invisalign so wanted a retainer asap whilst I waited. I sent my scans off to retainer Xpress (the same ones that were taken after my composite bonding was done and that were sent to Invisalign) They were very quick to get the retainer ready for me for next day collection and communication was great, however the saga started after this.
I tried the retainer when I got home as I was handed it in an envelope in a car park, and it was extremely hard to get on and off which is not ideal at all with freshly done composite bonding. I contacted retainer Xpress who said they do not issue refunds until they adjust it once and see if it fits, so I sent the retainer back to be adjusted and then received it back in the post adjusted but still the wrong fit, the retainer actually got stuck on my teeth and I had to forcefully pull it off, which again is terrible for your teeth, especially after having bonding. Due to the constant back and forth and slow replies, this has now been going on for nearly 3 weeks so this now defeats the whole selling point of 'Xpress'.
I actually have my retainer from Invisalign now which fits perfectly and was made from the same scans / moulds as I sent retainer Xpress. Since then, retainer Xpress have blamed the poorly fitting retainer on my teeth moving, me not knowing how to put on and remove a retainer (despite going through 6 months of Invisalign and my other retainer going on and coming off fine) and / or me not wearing my retainer enough which doesn't make any sense as I have worn my retainer from Invisalign every night which is a perfect fit which again, was made from the exact same scans / moulds as I sent to retainer Xpress.
Complete and utter waste of time and money, hopefully yet another bad review received by this company will encourage them to respond and provide my refund as they legally should given they have sold me an item that is not fit for use, tried to adjust it and its still not fit for use, and are now blaming it on my teeth which have apparently moved despite my other retainer fitting perfect.
I will be following up with Legal action if this is not resolved.

Unpleasant experience
The only positives were that the kit and retainer arrived quickly. Then the saga began. The retainer did not fit. I took it to my dentist who agreed that it was indeed a very poor fit. I then had impressions taken and a retainer made via my dentist. In retrospect, I should have taken this route initially. A mistake that I shall not repeat.
Retainer Xpress took a long time to respond to me via WhatsApp. In all correspondence I had to initiate it, ask for a response and follow up. Although the website states, “Risk free guarantee” that if the retainer is not suitable, you will only be charged for the (£40) kit. I agreed to this, yet it took many messages via WhatsApp, and the employee attempting to persuade me to try the process again, to eventually have them agree to refund the difference. I was advised to email-it was unanswered. I phoned but was told that they do not discuss issues/complaints, only take orders. Eventually, I received the refund and was informed via WhatsApp that I would have a follow up email. No email.
I certainly could not recommend. This is the first negative review that I have given a company. It’s more the poor communication, support/service that lets them down. It gives me no satisfaction leaving this. However, it is important to let the company and potential customers see the feedback.

I ordered a retainer from Retainer…
I ordered a retainer from Retainer Xpress two weeks ago.
It took a long time to get my impressions approved. This is partly because they wanted me to attempt them twice, which was fine but partly because they took a long time to respond sometimes to approve them and I had to prompt them.
When I sent my impressions to them I realised that I had lost a small card which you are supposed to send back with your name and order number. I therefore wrote my name and order number on a piece of paper and included this instead. They contacted me about this and I sent them all the information which was meant to be on this card again by email. They wouldn’t accept this and wanted me to print and send a card to them - there’s nothing special about this card and it just looks like a business card. I was abroad at the time and couldn’t do so. I now have to wait and faff around printing off and sending back this card to provide information I have already provided several times. This is apparently for identification purposes but they have already identified my impressions from the handwritten card I provided in order to contact me about it.
They were also extremely rude to me and showed no understanding that there is urgency to providing a replacement retainer. I have had years of orthodontic treatment and I know that my teeth can move quickly which is why I chose this company rather than going to my dentist. I tried to escalate this within Retainer Xpress but they wouldn’t do so.
I’ve never complained about a company in a review before but they have really annoyed me.

Efficient, reliable, fast, friendly
From the WhatsApp and phone communication, to the support with moulds, to the speed - they were brilliant. When my retainers broke on a Sunday I was freaking out and had very little time to sort new retainers before a holiday (and therefore before my teeth moved out of shape) and they reassured me they’d sort me out with their brill customer service, which was backed up by their speedy retainer service. I’m all sorted now and couldn’t recommend Retainer Xpress more highly! Thanks so much for being so friendly and efficient.

Great service
Great service. Sent moulds on Tuesday morning received the retainer Saturday morning. Much cheaper than going to orthodontist to place and quicker. Definitely recommend thank you!!
Retainer doesn't fit
Retainer doesn't fit! Despite sending it back, and them trying to tweak the retainer, it never properly fit into my mouth. This is despite it being based on the exact same mould as my old retainer. They were initially approachable, however, after awhile they stopped responding.
It also feels weird in your mouth, and is not as good quality as one you would get in the dentist.

They really don’t care
Disappointing. It started well with a next day delivery, and the form inside gives you an allocated time slot to send through your moulds with someone on whatsapp for guidance and approval. Mine was 12-2pm and it happened to be delivered at 11am so I was pleased because I needed this done asap. It turns out they actually take days to respond, sometimes with very little information leaving you waiting another 17 hours for another answer. It actually took over 8 days just for a response to confirm my moulds would be approved so I could send them back off. It is so frustrating and also so avoidable.
When your retainer breaks, you need another asap so that your teeth don't start moving again. I went for retainer xpress because the name indicates fast service. But it couldn’t be any further from the truth. In terms of the retainers themselves- they’re ok, but not great. My top retainers sort of saddle from front to back and don’t seem to have a permanent position. They don’t feel secure at all so I will need to go to a dentist properly.
It’s true what they say - you pay cheap you pay twice!

Same Day Retainer
Very efficient process to replace my broken retainer. I was fortunate enough to already have a 3D-printed mould of my teeth, so I was able to drop this off and pick up the retainer later that day. The price was also far more reasonable than my regular dentist.
Retainers didn't work, teeth started moving again. Had to go back to old retainers.
After wearing the retainer for 2-3 days my teeth started to move again and I had to go back to my old retainer. I told RetainerXpress who then requested that I send a video of inside my mouth. I thought this was weird and asked why - they didn't give any explanation. I asked several questions and offered solutions - such as a new retainer with thicker plastic - which were. They didn't respond for days at a time, then when their self-invented 14 days deadline had elapsed they refused to give a refund.
