I am extremely disappointed with my order ZA77120 of Iphone 12 that I puurchased by Revibe, they gave me a phone that does not switch on and they dont want to issue my refund

I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Revibe and the way my complaint has been handled. What should have been a straightforward purchase has turned into weeks of frustration, repeated emails, and an unresolved refund request. Instead of addressing my concerns and providing a satisfactory resolution, Revibe continues to email me about a R1,300 delivery fee to return the phone to me.On 1 September 2026, I purchased an iPhone 12 256GB in purple from Revibe. The phone was delivered on 9 September 2026, and from the moment I received it, I experienced problems. The phone would not switch on. I tried charging it with a new charger for an extended period, including overnight, and even tried using a colleague's charger for an entire working day. Despite all these efforts, the phone still would not switch on or charge.

I contacted Revibe on 10 September 2026 to report the problem and raise a claim. The phone was collected from me on 14 September 2026 for inspection.

On 18 September 2026, Revibe emailed me to inform me that my claim had been rejected because, according to their inspection, the phone was working and charging properly. This was incredibly frustrating because it contradicted what I had experienced from the day the phone was delivered.

I did not simply complain without trying to resolve the issue. I provided evidence, including videos and photographs showing that the phone would not switch on or charge, both while connected to a charger and when disconnected. I cooperated with the return process because I expected the issue to be investigated fairly.

What made matters worse was the inconsistency in the explanations I received. One agent suggested that the phone might not have had enough power, while other communication from Revibe maintained that it was working properly. This left me questioning why different explanations were being given instead of a clear, consistent response that addressed the evidence I had submitted.

I have repeatedly communicated my dissatisfaction and made my request clear: I WANT A REFUND. I DO NOT WANT A REPLACEMENT, AND I DO NOT WANT THE PHONE SENT BACK TO ME.

However, weeks have passed, and my refund request remains unresolved. Rather than properly addressing my request, Revibe continues sending me emails about a R1,300 delivery fee to return the phone to me.

I find this extremely frustrating and unreasonable. I reported the problem shortly after receiving the phone, provided evidence, and cooperated with the inspection process. Yet I am now being asked to pay an additional R1,300 to have the disputed phone delivered back to me, despite repeatedly explaining that I do not want it returned.

From my perspective, it feels as though Revibe is more concerned with arranging the return of the phone and collecting the delivery fee than with resolving my complaint. I cannot understand why the company continues focusing on the delivery fee while my actual request for a refund has still not been satisfactorily addressed.

This situation has also caused me unnecessary financial stress. I purchased this phone expecting a working device. Instead, I have spent weeks exchanging emails, explaining the same problem repeatedly, submitting evidence, and trying to get a resolution.

I have also had to contact PayJustNow about the outstanding instalments. I was informed that the instalments remain payable until Revibe processes a refund. This puts me in a difficult position because I am still expected to make payments while my dispute with the merchant remains unresolved.

The most disappointing part is that I have made every effort to resolve this matter, yet I am still left without a refund and continue receiving emails about a R1,300 delivery fee.I am writing this review because my attempts to resolve the matter directly with Revibe have not resulted in the outcome I am seeking. I have been patient, I have cooperated, and I have repeatedly explained what happened. I should not have to continue chasing a company for a resolution while being pressured to pay additional delivery costs.

Revibe, I purchased a phone, not weeks of stress, endless emails, and an unresolved dispute. I reported the problem promptly and provided evidence of what I experienced. I am asking you to take my complaint seriously, respond to my refund request, and resolve this matter fairly.

I do not want another email focusing only on the R1,300 delivery fee. I want an actual response to my complaint and a resolution to my refund request.

I WANT MY REFUND.

Scammers. Do not buy from them

Scammers. Their modus operandi seems to be selling faulty phones. They are very efficient when it comes to collecting it after one logs a fault, then after dragging the 'testing' process out for 3 weeks you are told there's nothing wrong with the phone and have to pay R1300 to have it shipped back. They refuse to refund me even though I had the phone for less than 24hrs

Terrible Service Full of Scammers

I ordered and paid for a Samsung Galaxy S21+ 256 GB. Revibe delivered a 128 GB model. This was the second time I had received an incorrect device from them.

The phone also had physical damage when it arrived. I returned it to Dubai in the same condition I received it. Throughout my correspondence with Revibe, their responses focused on the physical damage and warranty and never addressed the real issue: I paid for one product and was sent another.

Revibe also told me I would need to pay R1,415 to have the incorrect device returned to me.

No help or attempt to even adressthe issue of them delivering the incorrect device at all just a bunch of scammers.

Worst Experience ever

Worst Experience ever, ordered a phone from the company. Took nearly 2-3 weeks to receive it. After a few months phone died due to software and also battery was ov erheating constantly. Requested a waranty return. They sent the couriers to wrong address (mind you they did the same for delivery) I am still trying for them to sort out a simple address change so the phone can be collected and resolved. I Posted on their FaceBook how bad their service is and they BLOCKED ME! They cant handle bad reviews and preasure! @Revibe call me to resolve ASAP!

Revibe returned my daughter’s phone damaged, then hid behind its 10-day policy

I bought a pink 256 GB iPhone 15 from Revibe for R11,499, advertised as being in “Excellent” condition. It was for my daughter.

Within two months, the phone developed a serious audio problem. During calls, the person on the other side would intermittently stop hearing my daughter. I reported the defect and sent the phone back under Revibe’s warranty process.

On 17 August, Revibe told me the phone had been “successfully repaired.” Two days later, they specifically assured me that their technical team had tested all the microphones and that clear sound had been fully restored.

When the phone came back, it had visible marks around the camera and rear edges that were not there when we sent it in. I photographed the damage and sent the evidence to Revibe. Their own support agent later referred in writing to the “cosmetic issue caused during repair.”

That should have been the end of the argument. Revibe accepted a defective phone for repair and returned it with additional damage caused during its own repair process.

Instead of collecting the damaged phone and refunding me, Revibe repeatedly told me that its 10-day return period had expired. This was not a change-of-mind return. It was a defective R11,499 phone reported within six months, followed by further damage while the phone was in Revibe’s possession.

I sent Revibe a detailed written demand explaining my rights under the South African Consumer Protection Act. I asked for the phone to be collected, a full refund and escalation to a senior manager or legal representative. Their response was effectively the same template again: submit another warranty claim, send the phone back again and wait up to another 13 days.

My daughter had already been without her phone during the first repair. Revibe now expected us to repeat the entire process so they could inspect damage they had already acknowledged was caused during their repair.

As of 31 August, Revibe has not approved the refund, arranged collection or provided evidence that the matter was escalated. I am now left to pursue a Visa dispute and formal consumer complaints.

My warning to other South African customers is simple: photograph the condition of your device before sending it to Revibe, keep every email and do not assume that their advertised warranty will lead to a fair resolution. Their support team apologised repeatedly, but apologies without accountability or a proper remedy mean nothing.

I would not buy from Revibe again, and I cannot recommend them to anyone considering an expensive refurbished phone.

Defective phone within days

Defective phone within days; refund request still unresolved

I purchased a refurbished iPhone 15 from Revibe, but it developed serious faults within days of delivery: an unreliable front camera, intermittent torch, camera screens turning blurred or black, rapid battery drain, and echoing on calls.

The front-camera problem prevented me from completing banking identity verification, disrupting essential personal and work banking at month-end. On 29 August, the camera and video functions stopped working completely. Network provider suggested the issue might be software-related, so I took the phone to The Real Repair Company in Constantia. I was advised that it appeared to be a hardware issue and that I should return the phone to Revibe.

I supplied Revibe with the requested videos and evidence promptly. Revibe has arranged collection but proposed a repair process that could take up to 13 days. As the phone was defective almost immediately and I had to buy another phone to keep working and manage daily life, I have requested a full refund instead.

At the time of writing, I am awaiting written confirmation that the return will be processed as a refund rather than a repair. The claims team has communicated politely, but the product failure and the lack of an immediate refund option have been extremely disappointing for a first-time customer.

Refused refund within 2-days return window and demanding R1300 extortion fee.

My name is Mpilenhle Ndhlovu order number ZA-67541

I am writing this to warn other South African consumers about Revibe’s return practices. I bought a laptop from them, and it arrived with serious, intermittent Wi-Fi connectivity issues. I recorded video proof of the defect and sent it to them, returning the laptop within 2 days of delivery. This is well within their advertised "10-day risk-free, no questions asked" return policy.Revibe conducted an internal inspection, claimed they found nothing wrong with the laptop, and refused my refund. Worse, they are now refusing to give me my money back and are demanding that I pay them an extra R1300 just to ship the laptop back to me.They are holding my money and the device hostage, violating their own return terms and the South African Consumer Protection Act. If you buy from them, know that their 10-day guarantee is misleading. I have had to escalate this to my bank for a chargeback and file a case with the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud (CGSO).

Avoid this company.

Wrong device received and NO refund or resolution

I ordered a Samsung S21+ 256GB phantom black along with the Revibe Care + 2 year warranty, however I received a 128GB device. I logged a return straight away and Revibe requested me to take a photo of the memory to proof it is 128GB which I did. I repacked the device same day in the original packaging and sent if off with DHL 2 days later. Revibe then rejected my refund claiming the device was severly damaged. I obviously disputed this claim after which they sent me a dodgy video of a completely different device (not even the same model) that is already set up with a custom theme and the date on the phone in the video is from 3 months ago..lol.
Up to now, Revibe has not offered any resolution on a way forward. If Revibe truly believed that I sent them the device in their video, they could've just applied the warranty I also paid for. Unfortunately, they now have possesion of the S21 (excellent condition) that I returned, all my money and I am left with nothing. Have I know the risks, I would have just kept the 128GB phone as it was in good condition, just not the size I paid for. Sadly I have had to take legal steps and register a dispute case with my bank. I am simply writing this review to hopefully spare someone else the heartache of demeaning financial loss.
I will revisit and update my reviews once Revibe has proposed any form of resolution.

17 days, zero updates, order still stuck

Ordered from Revibe and I have been waiting 17 days with not a single update. Every time I call or message I get a different story. First they said they were trying to find dispatchers in Dubai, and now they claim it is a South African courier issue. But the order has not even left the Order Placed stage. No one is helping me and I cannot get a straight answer from anyone. Completely unacceptable for a company that promises fast delivery.
