Taking advantage of the elderly!

My elderly grandparents went in to buy a new car and part exchange their previous one. The dealership prepared a contract and asked them to sign it without explaining the terms of what it contained. Once the contract was signed, the dealership then told them the “value” of their old vehicle and what they would be giving them for it in the part exchange. My grandparents are nearly 80 and so as you can imagine are fairly out of the loop with car prices and they don’t expect to be taken advantage of by established car dealerships like RightCar. After coming home and speaking to the family about the sale as a whole we advised my grandparents that their car had been significantly undervalued and that they should visit the dealership again to speak to them about this. A few days after the sale they displayed my grandparents old car on the forecourt and website for a 100% markup of what they paid for it. My grandparents visited the dealership with a view to resolving the issue as my grandma was quite upset by it all. Once they were there, the manager just tried to sell them even more expensive cars and would not cooperate in relation to the part exchange issue. Stay away from this place.

Bought a Nissan Qashqai in April 2025, big mistake!
The salesman said it came with a full service & the slight scratches would be polished out, didn't happen.
The car had only done 23,300 miles and after owning it for 4 months broke down.
They didn't want to know!!
I ended up going to an independent garage to get it fixed & he did a full service, fixed a new clutch & also a track rod end.
I don't trust the car at all and now have sold it to the trade.
I found out from the chap who bought the car that it was owned by Enterprise, if I'd have known this I wouldn't have touched it with a barge poll.
I also found out that the car had a new clutch in 2024.
I did pay for 2 mot & 2 services, if the company had anything about the they would refund me that money.

Amazing service

BUYER BEWARE

I would give no stars if possible after the response of Rightcar to my situation.
Recently purchased a Fiat 500 and was assured that the scratches and chips/dents on the bodywork would be repaired, this was the proviso of buying the car and was confirmed several times by salesman James and Manager Gavin. I was told everything could be sorted, however, on inspecting the car thoroughly once home ( weather on collection day was awful so not possible to inspect properly)it was apparent that majority of the repair work hadn't been done. Rightcar say it has been done, if they call dabbing spots of paint over the chips being repaired then I fauil to understand their interpretation of repair work. An independant body work specialist has quoted £300 for the work to be done, Rightcar refuse to pay this or contribute towards it in any way and have asked me to return the car for them to do what was promised at point of sale. Moral of the story is , if they say they are going to do something on the vehicle you are purchasing get it in writing. They are happy to take your money, assure you they will do in my case repair to the bodywork but then fail to properly follow through. I would not return the car for a second opportunity as I don't have any trust or confidence in Rightcar.

Awful service

Had my car booked in for its service for two weeks now. Suddenly informed no courtesy car and put the service back two weeks which will then invalidate the cars warranty as won't be serviced within the 1000 miles/28 days terms.

My last service here I arrived only to be told they'd got the date wrong. Will avoid this garage from now on.

Worst after sales service I have seen…

Worst after sales service I have seen in 35 years of buying cars at the Grimsby branch! Don't reply to emails or phone calls! Once they have got your money there not interested! Didn't do the service that I paid for just stamped the book! And when I confronted Ben the salesman about it he agreed to do it again two weeks later but this this time found a worn bush! Even though the car was under 3 months warranty they didn't replace it! And just ignored my emails waiting for the 3 months warranty to run out! Definitely won't be buying another car from them! Or recommending to anyone else!!!

Untrustworthy dealership

Recently had my car MOT’d at the Hull branch. The MOT incorrectly failed my brakes and issued red advisories which were grossly overestimated, and the staff attempted to pressure and scare me into having additional work done at their garage rather than taking the car elsewhere.

A subsequent independent MOT found no advisories and confirmed my brakes were in good condition, proving the original MOT fail was unnecessary.

The dealership have refused to accept any fault and tried to justify their findings despite clear contradictions from the independent MOT.

This dealership is misleading and untrustworthy, and I would not recommend them for MOTs or vehicle servicing.

Fantastic experience from start to finish!
Saw a car that my partner liked on line, reached out to book a viewing and Dave got straight back to me.
Greeted by Dave on the day of our viewing with a coffee. Dave couldn’t do enough for us, went above and beyond to get the deal that suited. Collected car today and could not be happier!
5 star plus!!! Highly recommend this company, especially Dave!

Right Car in Beverley, Great Experince

I used Right Car in Beverley, I had looked online a few times and knew what car I wanted (Ford Puma). I went into the showroom and had a look around and ended up speaking with Ross. I advised what I wanted and he showed me the car, I managed a test drive straight away, Ross sorted it so swiftly for me. It was the car for me so I went ahead. The process was so easy, Ross even gave me the price on the internet as the showroom price was higher. I exchanged my old car and got a bit more than I would have settled on. All I can say is that the process was so easy and that was all down to Ross, I may have been an easy sale as I knew what I wanted, but still could not fault the process. If in doubt just go in and see what they have, not pushy at all, very welcoming. Ross arranged my pickup with another of his colleagues as he was due on holiday, again thanks to Adam who did not laugh at me when I could not start the car! I was always a bit wary of car showrooms due to experience with 'full on' sales pitch. This experience was smooth and very unlike what I had experienced before. Give them a try, I was very happy with all of the service.

Gavin is one of the worst representatives of this dealership. He bullies staff, treats customers with disdain, and creates an atmosphere that is completely unprofessional. If an employee dares to call out his behavior, he pushes them out of their job or forces them to transfer just to get away from him. It’s clear he thrives on intimidation rather than leadership. This toxic attitude doesn’t just harm his staff — it makes the entire customer experience unpleasant. If respect, professionalism, and basic decency matter to you, avoid this dealership and especially avoid Gavin.

Went to buy ford forcus 1600 diesel,l was in doughy it was a 1600 and I asked the sales person to check and he come back and said it was, I checked tax history and it was a 1500.l test drove the car and the thrus bearing was very noisy and the passenger door had been resprayed.all this was discussed with the manager and he said he wasn’t going to repair any of the problems has it had been prepared for sale .so some other person will end up buying a faulty car.
