My elderly relatives called this…
My elderly relatives called this Company via the phone book.
The Ad had a local number leading them to believe they were using local trade.
The "plumber" Andy (refused to give me his full details) arrived and immediately took card details.
On looking at the problem he stated that the leak was urine, as he was missing the toilet.
This caused distress to them and my father in law called to complain. He was assured a different plumber would be out first thing today, Monday.
Last night we got a call from my in laws as he was struggling to turn off the water.
We came down and the leak had worsened. It had flooded the bathroom, hall and into the bedroom. My husband got 2 gallon of water out of the carpet. We are hiring a dehumidifier.
Jump to today 9:15 - no plumber or call. I called the company and they said they had assigned an engineer and there would be no charge as it was the same problem. She would call me when she had gotten an eta. She would also get Customer Service to call.
11:30 called again. A different person told me no engineer was assigned. He would assign one and call me back. He would also open a complaint. No call by 12 (the deadline they gave for visit) so I nipped my ma in law to the shop.
Guess what? Andy the "plumber" turned up. How intimidating for an 89 year old man. Thankfully he refused entry.
As I arrived the house phone was ringing. It was the company asking if we were cancelling the job.
The caller said he could see a complaint open and refused to discuss anything with me.
Still no customer service call. At 2pm
We have a LOCAL plumber attending and as well as the bill for this we are asking for the £170+ they were charged. The longer they leave it the more inclined I am to bill for replacement carpets.
DO NOT USE. RIPPING OFF ELDERLY CUSTOMERS. NOT TAKING OWNERSHIP OF ISSUES CAUSED

Excellent and quick service from requesting an emergency plumber callout to repairing the leak in my bathroom. Can thoroughly re
No customer care and charged for wrong assessment
Rightio sent a heating engineer to assess my boiler and he suggested repairs that would have cost hundreds of pounds. I discoverd later that his assessment was wrong - I can evidence this as a conpetent heating engineer from a different company subsequently fixed my boiler without replacing the part that Rightio said was at fault.
I emailed Rightio sending them a full description of what had happened and setting out how their engineer's behaviour had left me and my children without heating and hot water for 4 days. They ignored me for 2 months and then sent me a letter stating that they would forward my name to a debt collection agency if I didn't pay them.
I took advice from both the Citizen's Advice Bureau and Which Legal - from this advice I believe that Rightio failed to meet the standards required under the Consumer Rights Act of 2015. The Citizen's Advice Bureau told me they would escalate the matter to Trading Standards.
I contacted Rightio repeatedly but never received an explanation. The 'customer experience' agent ghosted me and I received a further letter from them threatening to take me to court. I have the email trail, copies of the letters and a log of the telephone calls that I made. The only time that they initiated contact with me was to demand payment.
I was clear that I had a case but, as an NHS doctor and a single mum I finally decided that I didn't have the time to follow through on the legal process and so I paid them - for nothing. I should also add that, at £174/hour, their call out fee was almost twice as much as the competent plumbers who fixed my boiler.
You can also google them and find that they were written up by the Guardian in 2020 for overcharging an elderly woman who was isolated in lockdown.
My advice - avoid at all costs.
BE AWARE
BE AWARE! This is NOT a plumbing repair company! In my opinion this is a 'Scammy Rip You Off Company' created and designed to take as much money as they can from you in as many ways they can think of.
DON'T SIGN ANYTHING! QUESTION EVERYTHING! TRUST NOBODY!
I paid £139 For them to fix a leaks in our hot water cylinder. They turned up...told me it was fixed and left....not fixed! It continued to leak.....so called them back next day under their so- called guarantee. First thing the plumber did was produce another invoice for £125. He then showed us a photograph PROVING the joint was leaking when he arrived for the first visit.....which was the reason we called him in the first place! I DEMANDED IN NO UNCERTAIN TERMS THAT HE LEAVE OUR PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
I just wish I had read their overwhelming negative reviews before calling them in!
