Possible abuse of sick leave at Riverway Foods – HR refuses to act

On June 6th, 2025, a public TikTok livestream appeared online, allegedly involving a person affiliated with Riverway Foods.

In that video, the person appeared to admit that they had taken a sick day while not actually being ill, claiming the decision was motivated by personal revenge toward someone at work.

I reported this incident to Riverway Foods’ HR department and offered to provide the full video for internal review.
I received a formal reply stating that they would not take any action or discuss the matter due to GDPR.

This raises serious concerns about accountability, policy enforcement, and abuse of sick leave systems.

I’m sharing this information in the public interest, as inaction in the face of clear misconduct affects us all.

Sharp slither of Plastic, my young boy found inside a sausage! There was apparently an investigation regarding but my feeling is that I was fobbed off and they put the blame on other things including myself and not on their processes. I will not buy anything by 'Riverway Foods' again. *WITHOUT PREJUDICE* Regarding the sausages: An extreme amount of fat comes out of these when cooking, a suggestion would be that they put some meat in them or perhaps less plastic. Clearly cheap for a reason. One star from me, since that's the lowest I can choose. Back to Richmond's Sausages for my family 👍🏻

These are the best sausages i have eaten ,first tried at smith fields meat market london now available at tesco and costco .I think these are brilliant because the flavour is exceptional and they taste exactly like what i remember sausages tasting like when i was a kid ,a truly fantastic find if you get the chance give them a go.
