Following your initial contact, in which you advised that the product was not matching your skin tone, we sent some helpful tips and guidance in an effort to assist you in achieving the best possible results. Subsequently, you advised that your concern related to a reaction you had experienced. We take all customer feedback seriously.
As a small family-run business, we genuinely care about our customers and strive to provide the best possible support, not to dismiss or undermine any concerns you may have had.
We would also respectfully ask that future correspondence remains courteous and professional. While we understand that frustrations can arise, some of the language used in recent emails has been upsetting to members of our team. We are real people who are committed to helping resolve issues and appreciate being treated with the same respect that we extend to our customers. Skin type can affect how the product looks once applied. If Rosalique appeared too orange on your skin, we would be happy to share some tips that may help achieve a more natural finish. For areas where flushing or redness is more pronounced, we do suggest applying a second thin layer once the first layer has settled. Building coverage gradually in this way often provides better results during stronger flare-ups without the product feeling heavy on the skin.

Hi Rachelle, bedankt dat je de tijd hebt genomen om je ervaring te delen. Het spijt ons te horen dat de tint voor jou te donker uitviel.

Rosalique is ontwikkeld om bij een breed scala aan lichte tot medium huidtinten te passen, maar we begrijpen dat dit bij een zeer lichte huid niet altijd de perfecte match is. Voor het mooiste resultaat adviseren we om Rosalique aan te brengen op een goed gehydrateerde huid en echt met een kleine hoeveelheid te beginnen.

Voor een subtieler effect kun je Rosalique ook direct mengen met je dagcrème, gebruiken als plaatselijke roodheidscorrector of als primer onder je gebruikelijke make-up/foundation.

Our Cleansing Balm has a richer texture than a traditional cleanser, and many customers find that double cleansing or removing it with a warm face cloth works best for them. You also mentioned experiencing a "green" tint. This can sometimes happen when too much product is applied, so we generally recommend starting with a small amount and building up gradually if needed.

Wat jammer om te horen dat de kleur en finish voor jou niet goed uitpakken – we begrijpen heel goed dat dit juist belangrijke punten zijn bij een product dat je dagelijks gebruikt.

We willen wel graag verduidelijken dat we nooit hebben aangegeven dat “iedereen tevreden is”. Ervaringen kunnen per huid en persoon echt verschillen, en wat voor de één goed werkt, kan voor een ander anders aanvoelen.

Ook vinden we het belangrijk om een eerlijk beeld te geven en plaatsen we zeker niet alleen positieve reviews. Alle feedback, zowel positief als negatief, nemen we serieus.

We especially appreciate hearing from long-term customers such as yourself, so it is upsetting to learn that your recent experiences have not matched the results you previously loved from Rosalique.

We are sorry to hear that the texture and coverage did not feel the same for you, and particularly concerned by your comments regarding the product containing “bits.” This is certainly not the experience we would want for any customer.

While there have been some minor updates to the formulation over time, the product is still designed to provide the same redness-neutralising and skincare benefits that many customers know and love. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us, and we would very much like the opportunity to look into this further for you. The “muddy” appearance you mentioned can sometimes occur if a little too much product is applied, so we would usually recommend starting with a very small amount and gradually building coverage only where needed, allowing the product to settle into the skin between layers. We do appreciate that skin tone, application method, and even skin condition can all affect the final appearance on the skin.

Rosalique’s unique micro-encapsulated technology is designed to adapt to a range of skin tones; however, we do appreciate that results can vary, particularly on very fair complexions or depending on the amount applied.

The “green tinge” you mentioned would usually suggest that perhaps a little too much product has been applied. We would generally recommend starting with a very small amount (around the size of a pea) and gently building coverage only where needed, allowing the product to settle into the skin before applying more.

That said, we completely understand that everyone’s skin tone and preferences are different, and we are sorry it did not provide the finish you were hoping for.

Let me help with a few helpful tips 😊

Because of Rosalique’s unique micro-encapsulated technology, it can suit a range of skin tones from fair through to olive complexions. The tiny green micro-capsules break and blend into your natural skin tone during application, allowing the product to adapt beautifully to the skin.



May I suggest starting with the smallest amount possible (approximately the size of a pea) and gradually building the product, allowing it to settle naturally onto the skin before applying more.

For areas where flushing or redness is stronger, we would recommend applying a second thin layer once the first layer has settled, gently building coverage only where needed. This often helps during more intense flare-ups without the product feeling too heavy on the skin.
