We are a group of friendly, expert, optical practices who have served our communities in South East London, North Kent and Surrey for decades.
We have many years of experience in taking care of all our customers’ eye care needs and concerns. Our friendly team of eye care professionals offer quality eye care, optical products, and exemplary customer service to all of our clients. We make sure to take the time to hear the needs of our customers and have since developed a recipe for a consistently enjoyable experience.
Our team of experienced optometrists, dispensing and contact lens opticians are dedicated to providing you with exceptional quality eye care services, at fair prices, you can trust us to take care of your eyesight and vision needs.
We offer a wide range of services including specialist eyecare, dry eye management, sunglasses, children’s eye care, myopia management and hearing care.
Our practices are located in Crystal Palace, East Dulwich Purley, Sydenham, Welling, and West Norwood. We look forward to welcoming you to the renowned Woodfalls experience.
We pride ourselves on the expert and friendly service we offer at each of our six branches.
The clinical reputation and range of services offered by Woodfalls has continued to grow, our success has been due to our committed optometrists, fully qualified dispensing and contact lens opticians, optical assistants and a team of dedicated support staff.
Our practices are fully equipped with the latest in optical equipment and all of our branches offer specialist services. We have the latest OCT (optical coherence tomography) machines at all six sites, we now also offer Optomap scanning, plus The Hearing Care Partnership to provide all things audiology.
As an independent group of opticians we dedicate the time necessary to ensure our customers receive the best care and advice. We work closely with our clinical partners to ensure we focus on our local communities and provide the very best clinical care.

All the staff were brilliant
All the staff were brilliant, I felt looked after and listened to. At no point was I rushed, and the eye checkup was thorough.

I have visited the Crystal Palace branch of R Woodfall Opticians on several occasions and the service has been consistently outstanding.
From my first call and then appointment the team were friendly, helpful and professional.Taking the time to answer my questions and making the whole process straightforward. Walking into the branch you are immediately made to feel welcome by the warm and attentive staff.
The branch itself is bright, clean comfortable and well presented creating a pleasant environment.Each member of staff I have dealt with has been knowledgeable and genuinely focused on providing the highest standard of care and advice. The eye examinations have always been thorough with everything explained clearly. I’ve never felt rushed and any questions I’ve had have been answered with professionalism and expertise. What impresses me most is the consistency of the service. Whether visiting for an eye test, choosing glasses or seeking advice, the standard of care is always exceptionally high. The staff combine professionalism with a personal touch making every visit a positive experience.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the Crystal Palace branch to family and friends.

Individual care and attention
Welcoming, professional, diligent staff who take great care and attention in testing my eyesight and helping me choose the best glasses for me. Much more individual time and attention taken than the large High Street chain I’ve always used before.

I've been taking my children here for a couple of years, opticians have always been fantastic and one of them referred us to Moorfields Eye Hospital for a particular concern. A special thank you to the lady who fits the glasses, she has made sure that my daughter's glasses fit her head/face properly and I'm very grateful for this.

I was shown the duty of care indeed
They’re one of the highly rated in this trade so far.
The level of care i received was beyond just collecting my money and filling my form.
The lady who checked my eyes couldn’t just release me to go because she wasn’t 100% sure of what she was seeing in my left eye . She gave me some eye drop and asked me to wait for half hour for my eye pupil to pop up and let her do a final check before i leave .
That alone shows the maximum amount of duty of care .

Perfect Service
Fantastic service from start tò end. I went in for new glasses, received a comprensive and very professional consultation. I was fitted with new glasses and was told It would take 10 working days tò get my new glasses, It took 7. The glasses are perfect!
