My experience with SAD was made by Jordan from Felixstowe. I wish he lived closer, so I could call him to have a look at anything i was unsure about. I would be more than happy to have him work on our car again, and because of him will definitely use their services in the future. Jordan was happy to show me parts that were to be replaced when removed (parts I'd asked to be changed as knew they were duff) and took extra effort to engage with an older annoying person who used to be able to do the same thing themselves. Thank you Jordan!

Technician turned up on time and after…

Technician turned up on time and after the job was completed no advisories were mentioned, then two days later I receive an estimate from SAD for a change of brake fluid, this together with the fact that "Oil change required"keeps coming up on the screen is the reason for the poor rating. Now I need to shop around locally for brake fluid change. I will think again when I need a service next year.

very professional ,give me some advice ,done a full check on my car .done the service ,i was happy customer. very friendly and i booked for a M.O.T february .I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND they service .

SAD by name, SAD by nature.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The clue is in the name - SAD. Absolutely dreadful. Failed to complete work to an appropriate standard, nobody from head office ever called back to rectify. Had to seek advice from another garage to get back on the road in a timely manner and they said the work hadn't been done properly. When I rightfully tried to claim for a refund of labour and faulty parts I was parroted supposed T&Cs and refused any refund or compensation. Zero customer service, poor workmanship. I was then accused of being a liar and "failing to provide" a picture of the damaged part when I sent it in my initial correspondence! Absolutely shoddy. DO NOT USE.

Brilliant.

So, I had rear brakes, pads and discs replaced and on driving abs lit up stating, drive steady abs fault. Talked to Sadautomotive, they sent the mechanic back next day to fix at no extra cost. Fast professional reliable, good to know they will follow up if need be. A company is only as good as its after care service. Why go anywhere else. They come to you, and cheaper than any garage I have found...

Showed lots of availability, but after booking emailed to re-arrange for an entire month away, saying they weren't free

Do not bother booking with this company. Their website showed loads of availability almost every day. I booked a slot, and considerably after this, got an email saying they weren't actually free for an entire month, and asked if I'd like to re-arrange for then. By this point I'd made other arrangements based around the appointment I'd booked and had already received email confirmation of. Absolute time wasters!

Would not recommend

My vehicle is now not drivable! Needs a new engine thanks to having a mechanic from click mechanic which used this company. Which i also had to pay the full amount and not finishing the job I am now with no vehicle.

Wonderful experience! Two times I’ve asked them for help, and both times they’ve beeb brilliant!

Absolutely sensational

Absolutely sensational! From work , to communication, to customer service … all round 10/10 garage.

I went in for gear selector cables , as multiple other garages had charged me to let me know, I was told with a matter of urgency that was not infact the problem but internal gearbox failure!

After advising on next steps, they had replaced the component in a matter of hours, and my car was ready to be delivered.

Not only was the service fast, but work that I was quoted thousands in other places, and usually does cost a heavy amount, was a fraction of the cost.

Genuinely - whatever garage you’re using, stop and use these. AMAZING!!

Avoid at all cost

Booked originally for wheel bearing and major service, thought everything was fine within a day or so noticed knocking from the front left so called them back after checking the track rod end was loose and clearly wasn't tightened, another few days go past and a awful noise like something is going to snap on the front left, came back and claimed the wheel bearing installed was faulty and would go through warranty to have replaced, this taking another week or two. During this time I had them service and replace breaks and discs on another car, they failed to turn up with both discs and left with one disc and both pads changed needing to return another day to replace the disk they forgot. They replaced the faulty wheel bearing and unfortunately the next day my electric hand break locked on requiring me to call the AA, I had the car towed back to my house after the AA spoke with lewis who confirmed they could fix the issue at my house, I sourced the part to be replaced and was quoted the labour costs from Lewis even though it was a 3 week wait I went with it and waited on the day the mechanic turned up stating how he had never done this job before and was clearly flustered by the amount of work involved after spending 20 minutes looking at the car he said it wasn't possible to do and it would need to go to a garage. At this point I was done with this company after not even receiving a courtesy call or any resolve or apology. But low and behold they come back to haunt me again today, driving down the dual carriageway at 70mph my car lost all power and I managed to safely limp to a lay by waiting rescue from the AA to find that the fuel line wasn't pushed into the fuel filter housing correctly causing it to fall out whilst driving, please avoid these cowboys at all costs if you care for your safety and sanity

Invoice + debt recovery company for cancelling

I booked Servicing for my car. I didn't receive any confirmation of the booking on email or phone.
On the day of the booking I was called away urgently for work and asked for the booking to be cancelled with the note that I would come back and reschedule for another time.
Today they sent me an invoice for £48 as cancellation charges with the short explanation that their T&Cs specify that.
The company was incorporated on 20 December 2023, so not even 1 year ago. Probably this is the way they make their money because they are all but professional by applying these hidden charges and very categoric when questioned about them.
I will never use their service again.
After writing this review, guess what? On 14 Nov 2024 (9 days later) I received an email from a debt recovery company with an extra 50% to pay, after the original invoice was issued on 5 Nov 2024.
"Rip-off Britain" comes next.
