We are a non profit unicorporated association, rescuing dogs in dire need, that have mostly been rescued from kill shelters. We rescue, rehabilitate, reassess and rehome dogs in the UK to foster/adopter homes. we provide ongoing support from the point of application to settling a dog into its new home. We pride ourselves on having the mpst wonderful family of fosters and adopters where they can share experiences and support each other online in a unque group. We a re a volunteer led rescue of 5 ladies who work tirelessy without pay, around their other commitments of family and jobs. over the past 3+ years we have rehomed over 200 dogs and rescued in excess of 300 supporting other tescues along the way. We strive to do the best we can for our dogs who have simply been through so much.

I have nothing but praise for Julie
I have nothing but praise for Julie, Linda and the team. I have 4 dogs rescued through them and could not ask for better support or attention.
I do not recognise either of these reviews and the very fact the most recent reviewer chose to kill a dog that did not even belong to her says all you need to know. Who chooses to euthanise a 1 year old pup? Shame on you. And it’s even more revolting that you think it’s ok to leave this type of review.

Justice for Toffee
Save a kill shelter dog are truly amazing at what they do! Unfortunately they made a mistake in believing in a foster home for the beautiful Toffee! This foster drugged, kept him in a shed and then had him PTS literally 3 days of him arriving. If you are experienced with recuses the rule is the first 3!!! 3 days, 3 weeks and then 3 months. This foster gave Toffee 3days before having him PTS. It’s an absolute tragedy and what the poor and amazing Julie Marshall has to go through right now is truly disgusting! A dog that she tried to save and trusted in this foster was completely failed! This is not the charity's fault ..this is fault of the Foster the vet and the crematorium. You can all read this absolute tragedy story regarding Toffee on save a kill shelter dog Facebook page. They are a truly amazing charity and the go fund me is to give money to help pay for lawyers fees regarding this horrific ordeal relating to toffee. Please go on and give the page a like to see all the amazing things the do for dogs in need of recuse.

Nothing short of amazing.
Adopted a dog from SAKSD rescue, they've been nothing but amazing!
Filled out the application form, done a home check, had multiple hours of chats on the phone with Julie and Linda preparing us and giving us the worst case scenarios just in case.
We have now had our beautiful dog for 8 months and we couldn't be happier. Julie, Linda, Siobhan & Amanda have been so helpful! Any problem we've had, they've been there for us and guided us in the right direction. I couldn't be anymore thankful for our beautiful dog.
As well as this, although I'm just an adopter and nothing to do with SAKSD, my partner & I have set up the GoFundMe for money to go to Save A Kill Shelter Dog rescue, they had nothing to do with it as I had offered due to wanting to help with fees for the dogs and legal fees against those who illegally ended Toffee's life, as he was only a foster and was still owned by the rescue. Toffee has only been adopted twice, one of them didn't even keep him for 24 hours.
He had been fostered 3 times and spent a lot of time in a rehabilitation sanctuary where he was doing fantastic and made a best friend there.
