We had a great experience with Hello College. Don was perfect for our son and we believe he helped our son meet his college goals. Not inexpensive - but in the end we felt it was worth it in our situation. My son also loved his essay coach Sam and she was instrumental in getting good essays out of my son.

Astounding Support
My general counselor and my writing counselor were amazing and helped me get into my dream school!! They weren’t afraid to tell me when my scorings and essays weren’t optimal whilst believing I could achieve my goals! My application became the best it could possibly be with their help!

Don Keller was amazing to work with. He partnered with our family to guide us through the college process. Everyone was very knowledgeable and an expert in their specific area of study. We all learned so much.
It's been over 25 years since I was in college and the rules have changed. HelloCollege and Don took the guesswork out of todays college process. Highly recommend.

It was truly so helpful and took a lot of stress off of me! My counselor was amazing at answering my questions quickly and thoroughly, even when I did not reach out at the most convenient times. They provide lots of resources and templates that make the whole application process so much easier. I truly do not believe I would have been admitted to the college I am attending in fall without HelloCollege.

I did not like the college essay help
I did not like the college essay help. I felt like most of the feedback I got was for sentence structure and grammar, not building a story. I loved my general counselor, Don Keller. He was amazing at helping me with everything I needed.

Excellent across the board
HelloCollege provided outstanding support across the board, from our son’s primary counselor (Kim) to the essay support, SAT prep, financial aid guidance and more. Project Management and Essay Coaching (A+)
Having a professional college counselor project manage the entire application process E2E allowed me to focus on being a mom and deepen my relationship with my soon-to-leave teenager, instead of constant nagging him about deadlines, essays, strategies, etc. I’m forever grateful for that. Additionally, the essay coach helped my son produce an incredible end product for all his essays that set my son apart from the competition, while somehow making writing enjoyable in a way that high school did not. We were very happy with the process as well as the end result.

Overall Very Helpful
Overall, HelloCollege was extremely useful when it came to figuring out which colleges I wanted to apply to. However, beyond that, it was not as helpful as I would have imagined when the time came to actually apply to schools. I often felt that my counselor was a bit lackadaisical towards my applications and essays, although I now think this may have been an outlier as she left HelloCollege in the middle of the application season. By contrast, the most helpful part of HelloCollege without a doubt was my essay coach who took the time to get to know me as an individual as well as a writer. She always gave me high quality feedback promptly, and I always felt like she was available if I needed any sort of help.

Great Personal Connections and Resources
I liked how personal the zoom meeting where and how I got to actually ask all the questions I had opposed to a big zoom meeting with 50 people where not every question gets answered. I also appreciated all the resources HelloCollege gave because it gave me access to a lot of help that I would have never received otherwise.

Hello College provided my daughter with interview skills training, enabling her to secure a summer internship opportunity at a local high-tech company. Hello College
Using Hello College through the process of applying for college was extremely helpful for both my daughter and myself. She could not have gotten her 17 acceptances and over a million and a half dollars of scholarship money offers without the help of her Hello College counselor Raymond Gonzalez. He was there for her starting the summer before junior year, and is still there for her now. The monthly meetings, the essay coaching, the tutoring help, the FAFSA help, and everything else made this process so much better. My girl is headed to Drake University with a 47K scholarship! I can’t thank Raymond and everyone else at Hello College enough for their help and expertise. I’m extremely satisfied!
