Rude and argumentative

I have not bought a product from this company but I have dealt with their marketing department. They are rude and argumentative. I would not trust that the customer service or quality of the product is any better than they are.

EDIT: A no point did I accuse anyone of being a "nazi", or even use that word. Seadon was intentionally being passive aggressive and trolling commenters in order to farm engagement on their advertising post. Disgraceful behavior. Focus on making clothing.

Order a size larger than usual

UPDATE: Customer service came through for me and I am satisfied with their response. I realize it’s a small company so it’s difficult to respond promptly to all requests for assistance. I was not dissatisfied with the quality of the shirts, just the size.
I ordered 2 shirts costing over $100 and received them but they were exceedingly small for the size. I emailed the company the same day asking to exchange for a larger size. Got an email saying it would cost me $24 to exchange. I reluctantly decided I had to or I was out the original $100. Since then I have gotten numerous auto-generated emails asking me to send order number and a photo of the items in their unwashed and original tags and packaging. I have done that three times but continue to get the same automated email back.

Ordered and changed my mind about…

Ordered and changed my mind about sizes. Emailed Seadon to cancel the order or change sizes, if possible.

Around 4 hours later after my email, I received an email stating that my order is ready to be shipped. Tried contacting them on Instagram, Messenger chats and Whatsapp. No reply.

Couple hours after the shipping email, received a reply to my order cancellation email saying that it isn't possible to cancel because my order has already been fulfilled. Was given the option to either exchange or return.

Requested for a return label and no reply after 4 days.

Good products, yes. Absolutely horrid customer service, also yes.

I love my Seadon clothes! ❤️

I have been putting my Seadon clothes through their paces for a year through a lot of traveling by air, sea, land, and everything in between for work assignments, adventures, and just normal wear to the coffee shop! I absolutely love their design for minimalism and usability for any purpose. They are comfortable and solid products! ✈️ 🚢 🚗

Ordered wrong size fixed quickly

I ordered the wrong size for my shirt in realize it right after I made the order. So I sent an email to let them know about the issue and didn’t think that they will be able to change it within minutes. I had someone reach out to me and get the order changed. I was very happy, and the service was very quick.

Excellent quality shirt

Excellent quality shirt, great feel, and perfect fit/cut (5’6” 130 athletic build). Fits true to size for me (small). I was skeptical about the oder fighting powers of wool at first but Seadon has made a believer out of me. Lots of companies claim a shirt is wool but is synthetic with a touch of wool, and those stink at the end of the day. I wear my Seadon traveler tee for multiple days and it don’t stink. By day 7 I wash it just so deodorant doesn’t buildup. The thermoregulation is awesome, truly warm when wet and i don’t get chilled or overheated like i do with cotton. Plus the healing benefits of wool! Woah! I wear an oura ring and noticed my sleep was even improved! So nice to not have to pack as much when traveling with no way to wash. Great customer service that stands behind their product and values feedback. Worth the price hands down. Quit wasting money on fast fashion synthetics, build a capsule wardrobe with Seadon, you won’t be disappointed

Shop elsewhere!

I recently ordered 3 items from Seadon, after liking 2 shirts I’d received in the past. Hidden somewhere in the fine print must be this - “cannot return sale items”. The underwear does not fit; the pants might look good on a clown, and the shirt is far too heavy for warm weather wear. Apparently I’m stuck with these items. Oh, I can send them back for a lot of money “in exchange”. Why would I do business with this terrible company again?? Told them they lost a customer for life. Grrr

Hello Sue, it seems like all of our 1-star reviews are based on customers who are not happy with our return policy for sales items, which I can share below again:

4. Please note: any shipping fees or charges are non-refundable. Items that are labeled 'Sale' cannot be returned. All Sales items are final.
6. All underwear and socks sales are final and cannot be exchanged or returned.

Upon further checking, we emailed you with a free return label anyways, which you did not use.

In the future, we highly recommend you check the return policy of any company you wish to purchase from, especially during their sales season. You will find that most will share the same policy of sales items being always final and cannot be returned. Customers receive a great discount in exchange for accepting that the sales are final.

The result of an unsatisfied customer wanting a full refund and returning the sales items will cause great harm to any company, hence there are policies in place to protect the businesses.

1. Once sales items are returned to us, we can no longer sell them so we have to cover the cost of the products.
2. Return fees are $10 one way.
3. We get 1-star reviews because of this.

We are not Amazon. We are a very small team. We cannot afford to offer free returns for sales items to every customer who requests them, unfortunately.

We do not think this review is fair at all given this circumstance, but we wish you all the best.

Seadon Customer Service Issue

I recently purchased three M's Trailblazer Tee’s from Seadon, a company whose business ethos I highly respect. I had no issue with quality, but I prefer my t-shirts to be tight around the neck. These are too loose and expose my traps and upper back. No complaints. This is just personal preference. I couldn’t see this from the product photos. I bought three of these shirts on sale, not realizing you CAN'T return sale items. Um, what? "Final sale" or "Close-out" items? Sure. I never thought to double-check. Had I known, I would've bought a single shirt at full price. I took a chance, believing I could return them. I can't afford to eat over $70. And yet...

Not only can I not return them, if I want to exchange them, it will cost me $20 to do so. Um, what? I am super disappointed by this. You can argue it is my fault for not reading the fine print, but not being able to return sale items never occurred to me.

To make matters worse, my correspondence with customer service has been lackluster at best. Their response time is over twenty-four hours (at least) and I still can’t get a resolution. As of this writing, it’s been seven days. This is a real bummer, as I like what this company is about. They make quality products. I’ve ordered before and love the M's Traveler Merino LS Tee, which is why I felt safe taking a chance.

I tried leaving a review on Seadon’s website, but it has yet to show up. This is very disappointing indeed.

UPDATE (12/27/23): After repeated e-mails filled with borderline desperation, I did finally receive a return label. I returned the shirts, but have yet to receive word of a refund. Given the holiday season and high mail volume, this is not unexpected. Will update when I hear from Seadon. My review never showed up on their website.

UPDATE (1/11/24): I returned the shirts over two weeks ago and have yet to receive a refund. I was informed in an e-mail on Jan 4 that my refund would be processed that day. I really don't have the words to describe my frustration. I noticed that Carson, the founder, has reached out in the past to disgruntled customers. I haven't heard a peep. Either this company is in disarray or this "neglect" is intentional. It appears I might have to go through the arduous process of disputing the charge on my credit card.

I don't enjoy promoting this negative vibe, especially with a company I respected. I reiterate: Seadon's clothing is high quality, and if you know what you want and have no cause to request exchanges or refunds, you'll likely be very happy. Otherwise...

Also, they have a tight control on product reviews. My review was never posted to their site.

Truly disappointing.

UPDATE (1/11/24): After yet another e-mail, I finally received a notification of refund. And just for one last punch in the balls, they charged me $9 for return shipping. No sincere apology from management. No attempt to make things right. Just a nine-dollar kick in the ass on the way out. Thank you, sir, may I have another? Wow.

UPDATE (1/15/24): They've refunded my $9 dollar shipping fee. Credit where credit is due. As for Seadon's reply to my review... are you sh***ing me? My major gripe was with your customer service etiquette. I wasn't even expecting a refund. I was only hoping to exchange three shirts for something I would wear. The refund was a nice surprise. I'd planned on reordering to partially compensate Seadon for the lost shipping costs, but was waiting to see how you resolved my situation. Your response to my review seals the deal. I'm finished. I gave you so many chances to keep me as a customer.

Also, still don't see my review on your website. Weird.

Beautiful quality!

I ended up having to return two of the three tops I bought and I was sorry to do so. They are of a really nice quality and I loved the colors. Unfortunately the sleeves on the two long sleeved tops were too short for my long arms. I kept the beautiful aqua colored short sleeved top and am enjoying it. In addition to the quality of the tops, I give the company high marks for the ease at which they processed the return.

Excellent shirts, excellent customer service

I couldn't be more pleased with the customer service. The shirts are wonderful and when something goes wrong, the customer service is the best. I bought two shirts, one for me and one for my husband to use on a vacation. Unfortunately, I ended up having two shirts with little holes in them. Mine happened before I received it and my husband had worn his for a couple of weeks while we were on vacation before he noticed the hole on the back of the shirt after we had returned home. My shirt had been replaced before we left. Yesterday I wrote about my husband's shirt, sending a picture of the hole. I didn't expect that one to be replaced, since we don't know when the hole showed up. But they're sending us another replacement. And that is what I call excellent customer service. I'll surely be buying from them again in the future.

Received an Apology from Seadon

I received a response from the owner of Seadon and he apologized for the issues I was having with their customer service. He completed the exchange I'd originally requested and now all is fine. I did mention, though, that Seadon needs additional ways to get a hold of customer, other than just via email.

still waiting a month later..

ordered a month ago. order still hasn't arrived. customer service terrible as all they do (when they bother to respond at all) is resend the tracking information im already looking at telling me my order hasnt moved for a month. Having contacted the courier and provided them the tracking information myself ive been told they have no record of the order at all.. so seadon have my money, my order doesnt seem to exist and nobody at seadon will now respond to me.

Edit: was finally refunded a month later after posting on here after numerous attempts to resolve through an unresponsive customer service. Still not sure what happened to my order, or if it’s ever actually dispatched as courier was adamant they never received it. Won’t be using this company again.

Difficult or Impossible to contact re: warranties or replacements (10/27 UPDATE INCLUDED)

1-Star: I received a pair of pants that were defective upon arrival (simple main snap failure, not a big deal but it renders the pants unusable). I contacted Seadon with pictures on the day the package arrived. After no responses, I emailed Seadon a week later. Still no response and that was near a week ago too. Is there any way to actually get in touch with Seadon?

Edit: After posting this, someone from Seadon got in touch with me and apologized about the lack of communication. They had a new pair of pants sent out the next day and it just arrived today. Evaluating the product itself, right now I think 4/5 is a fair assessment, with a point docked for the initial failure of the same product and for the inability to establish communication with Seadon.

I like the guys over at Seadon and I like what the company brings to the table. I'm hopeful, based on the conversation I had with them, that these communication / fulfilment issues are going to be a thing of the past. I'll very likely find out as I order more Seadon products for upcoming adventures.

I visited South Africa recently (during their spring) and experienced weather from the low 50’s to upper 90’s. I exclusively wore woolen shirts and the ones from Seadon performed perfectly! I wore each of them at least 4 times and they kept me warm as well as cool and dry depending on the weather. They were breathable, truly odor resistant (and I sweat a lot), comfortable and took up minimal room in my suitcase. I am a believer! I travel a lot and wish I had known about them sooner. I will not travel without them anymore!
Seadon’s customer service is top notch as well. They responded quickly to me when I had a question.

Nebulous sales that results in…

Nebulous sales that results in cancellations and non deliveries. Company has decent products. However, they cannot get their act together at all. Previous sales, I purchased the pants. Got cancelled. Ordered again and got cancelled again, although the item shows avail in website. Last sale on 4th July. Ordered 2 items. The pants , which is preorder, got canceled again. The t shirt, which was over a month ago, hasn’t been shipped yet. Support staff wasn’t the most helpful ones at all. Cancelling both items now. Buy at your own peril

- a follow up, after this was posted. The CEO wrote to me apologizing, the poor response & delivery was supposed to b due to some logistic issue. Finally refunded the full order and sent a free gift.
