You switch off with boredom.
It doesnt really address the issues ,so its very flim flam in its approach.
Cant believe the nhs are funding this.
The recipe book, isn't and would never be the sort of food I would eat. I love to cook from scratch, and eat wholefoods not processed, which is an assumption. I dont drink hardly and never have fizzy drinks or juices.... I dont think its looking at the bigger picture.

Consequently, I have a pack of useless equipment and a much raised BP than when this nightmare began. ,
Thanks to Second Nature and the NHS
The NHS gave me the opportunity to participate in this excellent programme. Over the 9 months I lost 8 kilos, dropped a dress size and am no longer in the prediabetic category. Most importantly, there are many behaviours that came out of the programme that I will sustain from now on: meal planning, cooking from the Second Nature recipe book with all fresh ingredients, monitoring my weight and step count and switching mostly to zero beer to reduce alcohol intake. The advice from the courses was excellent as was the encouragement from counsellors. I really hope the NHS continues to enrol prediabetic people in the programme. Thank you.
My relationship to food has changed, for the better
It has helped changed my relationship to food. No diet or calorie counting. A healthy way to eat that works for me. The support is 1st class. All questions and queries are answered by the great coaches. The information that is given is easy to 'digest' and understand. Should you not understand, a question to the coach gets the answer you're looking for. I like how the work 'with you', as an individual. There is both a personal and group chat. And you use either or both at your comfort level. Highly recommend!!

I signed up for Second Nature after…
I signed up for Second Nature after being diagnosed with pre-diabetes and needing to manage weight alongside an underactive thyroid. I can’t praise the program enough.
Amazing Progress: I’ve lost 6kg and, more importantly, learned how to manage my blood sugar levels through better nutritional habits.
Understanding the Plateau: I recently hit a weight loss plateau—which I know is common with an underactive thyroid—but the educational articles and coach support helped me understand that this is part of the journey and how to keep pushing forward without feeling discouraged.
Support & Education: The health coaches are incredibly supportive, and the daily articles and meal ideas have helped me make long-term, sustainable changes, not just a quick fix

I have been able to work with the programme and set some goals that I have been achieving. Very informative summary talks and topics done.

My Second Nature Journey
Plenty of helpful tips, apps to help with Recipes, exercise, weight plans and a personal coach to chat to about any problems or questions. Communities to chat to if you need help with anything or just want to talk about their and your own personal journey. I am 3 months in and have lost a stone in weight, slowly for me is key to keeping the weight off but most of all to help reduce the risk of diabetes.
