Expedited shipping with this company is an outright lie.

When a company offers expedited shipping and guarantees a wait period of only between 24-48 hours to process and send out order, you expect them to do so. That wasn’t the case with me. I’m sure many have paid the 21 dollar and some change price for express shipping only to have the order be FILLED by the 5th day since making the purchase. Now customer support did their best to help but even after placing tickets on my order to have it out much sooner, they completely failed and did not meet or guarantee my order would be delivered by the end of the week. Asked about reimbursement or to get a refund on the shipping fee and yet to have a concrete answer. Overall if you claim and offer these options for shipping and can’t meet them, don’t offer them or hire more personnel. A company that goes into complete shambles with holiday orders or special.

My prescription sunglasses from Shady…

My prescription sunglasses from Shady Rays which costs hundreds of dollars have broken 3 times now, and Shady Rays refuses to do anything about the actual problem.

The frames keep cracking on their own, in the same manner. I've never had another pair of glasses break in 20+ years, eg Oakleys, SeaSpecs, etc.

The sunglasses are great if you are…

The sunglasses are great if you are looking for a one night stand or a summer to remember. You need to give it gentle love like don’t submerge it in the pool, more less so a beach. These things tend to accerate the aging process and cause sudden demise of everything the sunglasses promise, which is primarily protection from the sun and also looking cool while fighting the supreme light lord who gives you life. So in summary, if you are someone who expects a couple summers or even an engagement or a marriage, please give this pair a pass. Peace out!

Damaged glasses

I broke my glasses and was having some issues getting a replacement pair. I messaged Shady Rays and received a prompt response from Kristen, she was extremely helpful and I received my replacement pair 4 days later. Thank You Shady Rays for living up to your warranty.

I’m really disappointed

I’m really disappointed. I’ve owned several pairs of Shady Rays and decided to order a new pair with speedy shipping. Unfortunately, they never arrived. I contacted customer service multiple times, but the support was limited and unhelpful. I was eventually issued a refund that I didn’t ask for, with no apology or explanation as to what happened to my order. Based on this experience, I won’t be recommending Shady Rays going forward.

Paid for rush shipment, they never arrived and the customer service is only via text or email. It seems like a very horrible company. I think i will stick with Maui Jims

SCAM False Advertising

I purchased multiple pairs of Shady Rays sunglasses due to the low price and lifetime lost/damaged replacement guarantee. I lost a pair and attempted to order a replacement, only to find that they changed their terms to a 2 year replacement period after my purchase and refused to replace my glasses. They have also doubled their prices for a new pair of glasses. I will not ever be purchasing a pair of glasses from you again. In fact, I sense a false advertising lawsuit in your near future.

Unilateral change voids original warranty

Bought glasses in 2022 that I attempted to replace this week. Today, I was told that SR has changed their warranty policy to only be good for 2 years. The original lifetime replacement warranty was voided. After pointing that out and then they wanted to offer a complimentary pair with an outrageous processing fee, but still did not acknowledge their obligation under the original warranty contract received at purchase. Not interested in buying from what I consider unscrupulous company.

"Shady" Rays ... Their name says it all

I have purchased Shady Rays sunglasses as gifts for others and finally purchased their React R (their higher end sunglasses) for myself. Was driving my boat pulling waterskiers and they blew off my head and landed in deep water. I went to their website to get a replacement under their list/broken warranty and was sent a pair of what looked like a pair of $5 novelty sunglasses. When I contacted them I was told that their React R sunglasses were not covered by the lost/broken warranty. I felt that their presentation of a full coverage warranty was extremely misleading and sending me a pair of cheapy sunglasses to replace my React R sunglasses was kind of insulting.

Very poor quality but you get what you…

Very poor quality but you get what you pay for. Lens scratch very easily. Frame broke on one pair. But….what they don’t tell you is replacements are only available up to 2 years. That was my case at least. I’ve had gas station sunglasses last much longer.

Aptly Named Company

Unable to fulfill an order in over a month, completely ignored requests for some sort of good will gesture, provided no updates on delays or tracking, then claim it’s finally shipped a few days _after_ I requested a cancellation while refusing to issue a refund until I return the glasses (that I haven’t received and they still can’t provide tracking for).

Broken Frames

Bought a pair a few years ago. Dropped from waist high and the frame broke. Shady replaced them as their warranty stated. Dropped that pair one time and they broke in the exact same place. I didn't even reach out to them. Hope everyone else has better luck. I like the look but they should never break like that. Issue occurred 3 years ago

Lenses need improvement…

The glasses are fashionable and frames are well constructed.HOWEVER the lenses disintegrate after a couple of years, even if following their instructions about how to clean. I have more expensive glasses , my favorite Oakleys, and the lenses hold up forever.

Contacted Shady Rays per their response to my trustpilot review. Asked a few questions and copied the texts from the emails I received. The response I got was "Sorry for the inconvenience". No answer to my question. That's it. Shady Rays is fine until you have an issue, then their customer service is really bad. Don't buy Shady Rays.

They aren't that great

I'm not going to lie I like the product. I like the website. However the product is a bit underwhelming. I don't see the polarization being anything different from what I used to buy and other stores. Is it that big of a deal? Maybe. Do I feel like I can get a better deal somewhere else? More than likely. Will I buy from them again? No

Dont waste your time.

After 2 weeks waiting on my prescription fishing glasses I find out they do not make what the website let me order. An email was sent piggy backed on a response to a question asked to customer service. No refund until after I asked. No phone call. No follow up. I have recieved 11 marketing emails from them since my order on March 22 that they couldn't fulfill.
