Second time using this garage. Long story short, in the end there was nothing wrong with my car. The team gave it a really thorough check (and re-check). They could have easily fobbed me off - but they didn't even charge me for their time!

I first used them around six months ago when I needed new spark plugs. Both times, I've found them to be super polite, professional, clear and communicative. They'll definitely be my go-to garage moving forward.

I have used this garage for servicing and MOTs since they first opened. They are trustworthy and pricing is fair. Their mechanics are tenacious when trying to find and remedy a fault effectively and administrators are well informed, very helpful and communication regarding issues/progress is excellent. Got let down by my usual garage after phoning around lots of garages Dan came to the rescue and managed to fit my husbands car in for an MOT. Literally a life saver. Very friendly, efficient , will definitely use again. Thank you Dan and Luca

Having just bought a used car it needed a health check so decided to use Shalfordautocentre, I'm so glad I did. From my initial enquiry to completion of a few jobs, the reception staff (Dan and Katie) kept me fully informed with the cost of parts and labour and no pressure to proceed with job. Many thanks to the mechanic who worked on the car and his advice overall. I will certainly be returning for a service and MOT later in the year. Aileen.

Recently broke down in a courtesy car..miles from home in Scotland. Aa man suggested Shalford Autos and they were great from start to finish! Diagnosed problem very quickly, got the parts ordered within a day (new alternator) and back on the road within 48hrs. Great communication, keeping me in the picture. Would definitely recommend.

If your car needs any work done you must take it here. What a team and what a garage. Lee is amazing and couldn’t do enough to help and took the stress out of it all. Ryan kept me updated on all the work. And the work was done quickly and professionally. Anyone needs a MOT or service or any work should go here. They won’t be disappointed

I cannot put into words how amazing these guys are. A accidentally locked myself out of my car, got myself in a massive panic and just called the people who do my MOT each year. They were amazing. They said they didn’t know if they could help me, but as I was close by sent somebody out and opened my car. It was in a day where I really needed to be somewhere. They completely saved the day. I would not go anywhere else.

These guys did a major job on my ageing Fiat 500X a few months back. Brilliant service and excellent value for money. Today, as a result of an unrelated issue (engine has done over 110K), I took the car in. Turns out, it's curtains for the engine. Tough to take but they very kindly waived the diagnostic charges. If you want an affordable garage you can trust and be treated like a human being by human beings, this is the one.

I took my 2011 polo for an MOT to Shalford Autocentre. To my surprise, I was told it had failed for 2 serious matters and there were also a list of advisory problems, mostly relating to shock absorbers and brakes. Shalford Autocentre quoted me c£900 to do the repairs so it would pass the MOT, and £1800 to do everything the MOT test had identified. They also offered to buy the car off me if that would be helpful.

I took the car home and arranged with another garage for the MOT to be done again along with any necessary repairs. This garage took the car for its MOT without doing any work on it, and it passed immediately with no advisories. The second garage could not understand why the faults had been flagged as they could not find anything wrong with my car.

I would not trust Shalford Autocentre at all.

Nice to find a trustworthy garage who do exactly what they say they are going to do. All prices are shown upfront for servicing and MOT. Very friendly staff and an overall an efficient service provided.
