When I joined CGE, I had a YouTube channel that had been sitting there doing nothing for almost a year. I procrastinated on it constantly because I didn't know what to make videos about or how to turn it into something meaningful for my business.

Then one day, I saw Shane's ad about leveraging YouTube's power for business. I've seen tons of YouTube ads before, but for some strange reason, this one spoke to me. Something about it just felt right.
I decided to start with CGE, showed up, and did everything I was asked to do. And my channel is actually growing now.

The community is filled with bright students who are always sharing tips and supporting each other. It makes the journey so much better when you're surrounded by people who get it.

The Coaches Are Incredible
For the coaches, I'll need a new sheet of paper to list them all. Murray is awesome. He's been more like a brother to me, aside from the deep knowledge he shares with us. Manoj is a repository of knowledge in the YouTube domain, life coaching, and business. And I could mention five more coaches, including the editing coaches, thumbnail experts, and all the other specialists who pour into us.

My Advice
If you're thinking about starting a YouTube channel or you're struggling to break through barriers, please don't hesitate. Feel the fear and do it anyway. You will thank me later.

Follow Shane's methods to a T. At first I didn't follow his methods and was getting frustrated. Then I reviewed the training and followed what he said to T and I had my first video pop off! The trick is the "Icahn Method" and doing it exactly as stated. So happy. Thanks Shane!

In an industry full of pretenders, I have found this coaching program to be the real deal. All of the coaches have been excellent, each specializing in various areas but being very well rounded and able to assist with most any question. My weekly sessions with Murray have been extremely helpful and are providing exactly what I was looking for. I've been able to make more progress in 3 months compared to the last 13 years I wandered in circles. I appreciate the detailed curriculum and candid but very encouraging approach of the coaches. I gave it 5 stars only because that's the upper limit. It does not begin to do justice to how impressed and grateful I actually am.

Shane's program has been such a great experience for me. It's straightforward, easy to learn and it just clicked for me. As someone who avoided cameras at all costs, I never thought I'd feel this comfortable recording my videos. If your considering joining, my advice is simple, trust the process and follow exactly what Shane teaches you...it works.

I joined CGE after watching quite a few videos on Youtube, and I was sold on this program after confirming one of my favorite content creators was also a part of the program. I love the idea that we can share our unique knowledge on YouTube, but I knew I definitely needed some guidance on how to make sure my content stands out.

It's clear to me that all of the team are invested in my future and want me to succeed. While I'm still working on the program and I can already tell the coaches have extensive knowledge, and after considering other similar programs I know I made the right decision to join CGE. I highly recommend CGE if you want to be a part of this method of sharing what you know. Remember, you only need to be one step ahead and so many people can benefit from what you already know!

I love working with CGE. The experience and examples they share help me understand what I need to do. I've been given the chance to ask questions through the live trainings.

I now know that success is inevitable. Shane's system is so good that success is inevitable if you follow it. Some will do well on their very first video, some might take 50 videos. But for sure if you follow the system you will be successful on YouTube as well as any other platform you use it for. And Shane makes the content sustainable, doesn't take too much time, and than anything its FUN to make!

I work in real estate and probably the program wasn't designed for me since I advertise locally but it worked all the same. Loving it and will continue to use what I learned!

With so many YouTube content creation courses and "experts" out there, it may be tough to figure out who's legit. Clearly, Shane's >1M followers is one indication, but not everyone can teach what they happen to do well.

But Shane can ABSOLUTELY teach!! In fact, he and his team give more value for the money than you can imagine! My only complaint is that I can't possibly take advantage of it all!

Shane has recorded the primary learning modules, which are self-paced along a clear learning path, and he adds to the content as new information, technology and consistent questions from student arise. So none of that static, created-five-years-ago-and-never-updated stuff that some courses have.

In addition, Shane's team hosts live lessons and Q&A sessions EVERY WEEKDAY. While the topics differ (e.g., Thumbnails, Video Editing, etc.), they're always willing to answer any question you may have. These sessions are recorded, so if you miss one, there's a library filled with past sessions.

Add to that, your individual coaching chats and sessions for a deep dive into your channel and needs...it's almost impossible to fail!

I say "almost" because you still have to put in the work, unlearn some bad advice and habits, and overcome mental hurdles...but CGE can definitely help with the rest!

The tips for content creation have been great! Course material is easy to follow, and the coaches give great advice!

I joined the Content Growth Engine program by Shane Hummus with high expectations because I really admire Shane’s YouTube content. His videos are excellent and the training material itself is genuinely valuable. The recorded lessons were clear, practical, and very well done.

However, my experience with the coaching side of the program was disappointing and very disorganized.

One of the biggest challenges was the platform setup. The program uses multiple places at the same time: the course content is hosted in one platform, discussions happen in Discord, there are private channels, and other conversations happen in separate spaces. It created a lot of friction just to find information or participate.

Compared with other coaching programs I’ve taken, this felt unnecessarily complicated. I often wondered why everything wasn’t kept in one place using a platform like Kajabi, Skool, or something similar with perhaps a single community space. Instead, it felt like constant friction just to access content, recordings, and conversations.

The Discord itself was very difficult to navigate. There were many channels and spaces, and it was often unclear where discussions were happening. It made the program feel scattered instead of structured.

The coaching calls were another challenge. None of the calls I attended were with Shane Hummus himself. They were run by coaches whose experience I did not know, and some did not appear to have established YouTube channels or proven results. Personally, I expected coaches with stronger hands-on experience growing channels.

Many of the calls were also scheduled after 6 p.m., which made them difficult for me to attend.

When recordings were provided, they were not well organized. The recordings were placed together without clear categorization by topic, and they were not easily downloadable. Again, it created unnecessary friction when trying to learn from past sessions.

To be fair, the course content itself is very strong. The training videos are clear and useful, and there is real value there. If someone were purchasing only the course material, I believe it would be worthwhile.

However, the full program costs around $6,000, and at that price I expected a much higher level of organization, structure, and experienced coaching.

When I eventually requested a refund (which the program advertises), communication became difficult. After a call with someone from the team we initially agreed to try continuing with a new coach, but I ultimately felt I had lost trust in the program. After multiple messages and emails without resolution, I eventually had to go through my bank to recover the payment.

Overall, I still think Shane Hummus creates excellent educational content, and I respect the value of the training videos.

But based on my experience, the coaching program itself did not meet the level of professionalism and organization I expected for the price.

I’m sharing this review simply to help others make a well-informed decision before investing. I do hope the program improves because the core training itself is good.

Before starting Shane's program I felt scattered when making YouTube videos. I didn't know which ones would work and then the idea of seo or titles or thumbnails felt overwhelming. Shane's program gave me the structure to know how to proceed and to stop avoiding. Great information given in multiple formats that is pragmatic and logical. This has taken the frustrating guess work out of video production. And the staff and coaches were always so responsive and never felt like they were doing "their job", it truly feels like they want me and my channel to succeed. PS - this is not a skimpy program, there are so many videos, extra trainings and one on ones with coaches.

I had a major challenge trying to identify an audience and understand how to make content that meaningfully connected with them. Shane’s team helped me apply a system that helped me break through that barrier and start making progress towards a successful YouTube presence with me as the brand. I recommend this to anyone who feels stuck on making content, it will help!
