Don't waste money on their courses
I paid £28 for a course called "Responding to distressed behaviours". I could have written it "on the back of a fag packet".
I wasn't expecting degree level material but the course content was patronising and pathetic!
My mother and father had dementia for 3…
My mother and father had dementia for 3 years and not once did i receive any communication from any dementia uk organisation. I wouldn't give them 1p because they are never there when you need them
Fed up the to neck with being harassed…
Fed up the to neck with being harassed every time I visit my local morrisons.. im working as a uber driver for real crap money. Why dont you ask mps and illegals as they are rolling in money with all the corruption while the rest struggle to afford our bills. You no longer have my support.
Rude and unhelpful
Rude and unhelpful, when I called the helpline and explained that I lived in Scotland I was told curtly that "we don't deal with Scotland" and then the adviser just hung up. Very unhelpful for a supposed helpline, and very unprofessional.
Driver was Polite,Helpful and Thoughtful.
Was sent some products to trial and give feedback after use..Driver knocked and waited for me to get to the door { takes me a while on Crutches]..Driver was very polite, friendly and even asked if he could put my parcels on the cabinet inside my door for me.I declined this as they were only light items..But what a difference from other drivers who cannot be bothered to help when they see that you have 'issues'..This Man was an exception to the rule and it was much appreciated by me as I am not normally helped by delivery drivers..They normally 'Drop' and run..I have read the other reviews and must say I had a very good experience with this company and would be more than happy for them to deliver to my home again.
Shocking TV advertisement
I think the current TV advertisment is shocking and scaremongering.
My mother certainly didn't die over and over. Disgusting !
I have complained through the Alzheimer's societies website but no reply !
A vile and uncaring organisation

Money making business
People who give money to this business are been conned
All they do is research and take people money each month, they do nothing else
Phone and ask for help they wont help you, charge people money to go to their coffee mornings
One big money making business
Company or charity???
Company? I thought they are a charity!! I appreciate that they are a business. It is really shameful to make money on the backs of people who are suffering.
They are not doing anything for people with dementia who are abused in care homes and euthanased in hospitals.
Appallingly insensitive advert
Tried to complain to them directly about the terrifying new advert which is enough to put the fear of God into any elderly person who is a little forgetful - me included. Their online form is not working and the alternative email they give won't work, so I'm here. How dare they scare so many elderly frail people? Many will rush to their GP who will feel obliged to do lots of tests for a hopeful patient who thinks there's a cure imminent. All meaning extra costs to the NHS! You should be ashamed Alzheimer's Society.
What's the point of writing anything!

The long goodbye is a terrible advert…
The long goodbye is a terrible advert but the Altzeimers Society ignores any negative comments about it. I would like to say a short goodbye to the CEO and all the senior management team, I will no longer donate or support this organisation in any way.
Event place removal, lack of appreciation and short term memory
I regretfully have to advise that the Alzheimer's Society and Action Challenge have removed my place to the Thame Bridges Trek (25 km) on 14 September, while all I wanted was to raise awareness and donations, in loving memory of my great grandmother and grandparents who got affected.
I did enter the event through the charity, pledging to raise £240.
Unfortunately, due to a rigid rule from the organiser "Action Challenge" according to which you need to raise 50% of the requested donation amount 3 weeks before the event date (literally during the summer vacation), the Alzheimer’s Society has asked the organiser to remove my place.
I did appeal to the charity, as advised by Action Challenge, who would have been happy to reinstate my place if the charity was happy to cover for the cost (whatever the cost and despite £86 raised so far), and sent them an email advising so.
Unfortunately, despite raising £470 less than a year ago (close to 200% the amount requested) towards the the Alzheimer Society when I took part to the Oxford 1/2 Marathon, and although I was assured by Action Challenge that this was in the Alzheimer's Society power, the charity has opted not to request the reinstatement of my place.
I feel bitter, disappointed and frustrated not to be able to take part.
I have asked the charity to refund all donations including mine, since I would rather give the money to a charity that appreciates your effort and that you are taking part to a challenge with your unconditional heart, rather than having to abide to rules that make me feel like I am requested to reach a business target!
I will also make sure to avoid supporting a charity that involves Action Challenge, as they are making my charitable activities a real challenge!...
Big Pharma Robots
Big pharma led moneygrubbing outfit. Alternative treatments and new scientific research are automatically dismissed out of hand.
It would have been less upsetting not to have heard from them...
When my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease I got a phone call from this organisation. They appeared to be friendly and helpful to begin with, but it didn't last long. They do one home visit and then abandon you.
When my wife was diagnosed with…
When my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s I got a call offering help , groups to join etc . This never happened, just requests for donations
This money I guess is spent on the brutal advertising on television that upsets my wife and makes me want to cry
Cluster! Badge Paid for on 25/04, today 21/05 still not received. Remembrance Week was 13-19 May!
I Ordered and Paid £10 via my Mobile phone, for a Forget me not Badge on
25th April 24, for The Alzheimer Week 13-19 May 24! I Still haven't Received it! Not happy At All! I rung their Help Line today, not really much use, as the woman stated the Badges are Sent out from another Place!
A right Cluster, it's put me off Donating to them!
I'm disgusted with their new advert.
I'm disgusted with their new advert. They state that "with funds, it can be cured". This is seriously misleading, as Alzheimer's is a disease that can never be cured just like heart disease and cancer. These charities rake in fortunes so that their CEOs can run around in luxury cars and live in luxury houses. These charities obviously donate some of their profits to help, which is great. However, to try to convince the public that a cure is around the corner is woefully inaccurate.
Unwanted mail
They continue to mail my deceased father despite three phone calls telling them not to. Be very careful having anything to do with them.
No feedback or explanation when…
No feedback or explanation when applying for a job - just a flat out rejection. Thanks for wasting two evenings of my life writing this job application, I would have appreciated a reason as to why.
