Avoid at any cost—especially if you're ordering from the UK!
Avoid this company if you're ordering from the UK!
There are hidden charges for tax and duty that they don't clearly disclose at checkout. I ordered a pair of shoes that cost me £160, and only when they were about to be delivered did I receive an email stating I had to pay an additional £70 in tax and duty.
When I contacted the company, they claimed they had informed customers they were responsible for duty charges—but there was no clear notice during the checkout process. When I complained, they said there was nothing they could do and offered me 10% off my next purchase—probably so I could end up paying another £70 in hidden fees!
I’ve bought clothes before from companies shipping from the EU and never had to pay duty like this a week after the purchase. Stay away from this company—especially if you're in the UK.

We do display import duty and tax information on our product pages, checkout, and order confirmations, as these charges are determined by UK customs and can vary by item value. We understand how frustrating unexpected costs can be, even when they're beyond our control.
For future reference, we also work with UK-based sellers and some international sellers whose items ship without import duties applicable—if you prefer to avoid any risk of customs charges, you can filter for these options when browsing.

The email contact I had with them aboute some returns was very easy, polite and good.
What I think could be better, is some more information about the products on the website. For example some bralette's I bought were without padding, I wouldn't have bought them if this was mentioned on the website.

Top class customer service
This scarf was not available from the manufacturer's website until Shop Like You Give stepped in. Within a few days of my email they had contacted Komodo, and persuaded them to list the item especially for me. I'm really appreciative of the lengths that they are prepared to go to to give first class customer service and I'm delighted to have a replacement for the scarf that I lost and couldn't find anywhere.

Poor quality and long delivery time
The shoes I bought were of poor quality, very plastic. Altough costing 100+ euros. The delivery time was much longer than visible on the website. I thought I was ordering from a Dutch company, but in the end it turned out that my package came from the US, with return costs of 33 euros. What a joke. The problem with a ‘marketplace’ is that there is no one directly responsible if something goes wrong and no clear point of contact.

Regarding your comment about marketplaces: we actually believe the opposite. One of our main roles is to protect our customers and make sure they're treated fairly. If something goes wrong, we step in to help. So instead of being left on your own, you have us to make sure you're never stuck or taken advantage of.
Super service, heel fijne schoenen en prachtig diervriendelijk bedrijf
De schoen die ik wilde was er niet in mijn maat, ik heb gemaild of die er weer kwam en kreeg direct een antwoord met alle informatie. Intussen een andere kleur besteld, deze kwamen de volgende dag al. Het contact was heel goed, vlot en zeer vriendelijk. De schoenen zijn precies wat ik wilde en de maat klopt ook goed. Ik ben heel blij met dit bedrijf en vooral omdat het vegan is.

Superblij met mijn prachtige rode Fraenck tas
Ik was op zoek naar een nieuwe, handige tas en omdat ik zoveel plezier had met mijn eerste Fraenck tas dacht ik meteen, ik wil ook een grotere. Ik zag Annelien in het rood maar vond de hengels in beige iets minder mooi. In overleg konden deze ook in het zwart geleverd worden en zo heb ik mijn droomtas via Shop Like You Give a Damn gevonden.

Supergoede service
Goede service! Een besteld product paste niet goed, maar de retourservice van de leverancier werkte niet goed. De medewerkers van Shop like you give a damn namen meteen de verantwoordelijkheid en zorgden voor een goede oplossing. Niet alleen in de producten, maar ook in de omgang met klanten is het motto merkbaar!
