Fijne ruimtes. Efficiënt geregeld. Simpel en snel binnen via app. Alleen bij laatste x gebruik vd app, stagneerde mijn iPhone, beeld bleef knipperen en haperde, waardoor inloggen niet lukte. App schijnt vaker wat gebruiksproblemen te hebben. Uiteindelijk gelukt.

Tijdens het boeken van de aanbieding voor 2 m2 kreeg ik een foutmelding en kon ik alleen nog 1,5 m2 kiezen voor dezelfde prijs.
Aangekomen bleek die eigenlijk 85cm x 140cm = 1,19 m2 bruikbare oppervlak, waardoor ik een kastdeel weer mee terug moest nemen.
Ook ging het hek niet open, mijn code was ongeldig. Blijkt dat er twee locaties Sloterdijk dezelfde naam hebben, maar daar kom je zelf moeilijk achter.
Tenslotte de verplichte verzekering en slot. Al met al kost je eerste maand sowieso 45x zoveel als de 1 euro waar mee geadverteerd wordt.
Waarom niet gewoon eerlijk zijn? Dan weet ik waar ik voor betaal en komt je bedrijf gewoon veel sympathieker over.

READ THIS BEFORE CHOOSING SHURGARD

When I went to pick up my things from the storage unit, I found that my belongings had been severely contaminated by mice and/or rats. Many of my things, including bedsheets, clothes, kitchen utensils, papers, and expensive university books had been irreversibly damaged and I was forced to throw them out. As for the remaining things, many of my bags had been eaten through and there were droppings everywhere. It is unacceptable. Knowing that mice are a common phenomenon, how can a storage unit not have a proper ceiling (and instead, a metal net) and holes in the floor (there was a hole in a corner)?

I wrote a formal complaint to be refunded for the inconvenience and the material I have lost but received NO RESPONSE FOR MONTHS. When I did receive a response, it was "I have to ask my manager and will get back to you". Do you think they ever got back to me? I had to constantly send emails to receive a useful reply at all on how I was going to get a refund since I did take out an insurance on my belongings. I also had to pay a large sum of money to send most of my remaining belongings to be deep cleaned as to avoid contamination by having to wear clothes and sleep in bedsheets where mice and/or rats walked over, peed, and defecated.

If you want to go with Shurgard, go at your own risk. Paying more each month to take out insurance will not mean that they will refund you, even if they have to. I suggest going somewhere else.

Super responsive and easy to set up. Unfortunately the wrote that my storage unit was on the ground floor but it was actually on the first floor… via staircase. Not the most convenient for moving large or heavy items. But otherwise I found them very easy to communicate with and the customer service was mostly great.

Very polite and accommodating. They had to make corrections to my reservation, which was my fault when I booked it, and apologized for having us wait! They were very helpful. Sorry I don’t remember their names, but thanks for their help. It was about 10:30 Monday morning.

Nette schone lokatie en vriendelijke medewerkers

It was all good but just one thing. When we came to the storage unit we didn't find the bag with the lock. I called customer service Ave it was not really helpful. I had to go back to the other building were they helped me. Just this improvement point. For rest...perfect

Snel geregeld, goed bereikbaar en fijn dat je de eerste keer al zonder hulp van iemand anders naar binnen kan. Enige wat wel erg misleidend is, is de ‘eerste maand €1’. Je betaalt voor het verplichte slot, moet je verplicht verzekeren en je moet administratiekosten betalen. De eerste maand was uiteindelijk €45.

Handig systeem, volledig geautomatiseerd en snel.

Service was prima door persoonlijke begeleiding bij eerste entree.
Minpunt: bij Bestelling via internet wordt je naar het verkeerde gebouw verwezen!
