Store
Mir gefaellt nicht die Anpassung der Gebuehr 2 x pro Jahr ohne grosse Optionen, das zu verhandeln oder evtl. anders anzupassen. Es bleibt manchmal der Eindruck der Willkuerlichkeit.
Der Store selber in Bonn ist sehr gut, ordentlich, sauber, gute Lage, schnell erreichbar, sehr nuetzlich fuer mich.

Personalmangel? Lager sehr gut.
Hervorragender Mitarbeiter. Aber leider alleine verantwortlich, was unvermeidlich zu langen Wartezeiten für Neukunden führt. Kein Wartebereich, keine Sitzgelegenheit. Wir standen also mit der ganzen Familie erstmal eine halbe Stunde im Regen vor der Tür. Das geht besser, oder?
Die Erfahrung mit dem Lager ist bis jetzt sehr gut.

Pleasant experience with a hiccup
Overall a pleasant and easy-to-use experience. Nevertheless I would have appreciated to have explicitly that the access code ONLY works to access the floor with the storage unit. This might be a common thing in Germany, but as a foreigner I was not expecting it. Not being able to open the main door and not having explicit info on how exactly should I enter the building (in my case it meant having to go through the parking space) caused me a lot of stress. Something to improve, in my opinion.

That's why we give an individual PIN code to each customer. This code gives our customers access to the facility and the floor where their storage unit is situated. No one else can enter this area unless they’ve got a unit there too. We thank you for your understanding.

Shurgard Self Storage dramatically increase charges and have been regularly increasing my rental charge by around 25%: increased from €98 p.c.m. to almost €250 p.c.m.
I was initially informed at reception, when I enquired about increase charges, that increase charges were the normal increase: circa 3% p.a.
