I would avoid this company - they get you into these 3 month contracts by offering an attractive incentive of £1 for your first month. However, when you want to leave they will charge you for days you aren't using the unit and their customer service is incredibly poor.

I received exceptional help on Monday from Anthony at the Garrett Lane branch. I had a 2.5m counter on wheels that needed careful manoeuvring through the first‑floor corridor, and he stepped in to assist. He was patient, professional, and genuinely kind throughout.
I tried to offer him a tip afterwards because the help made a huge difference, but he wouldn’t accept it, instead he simply asked me to leave a review. That says everything about the level of service and integrity he brings to his work.

Such a helpful team, including Caroline who was so kind on the phone. When I needed to access my unit in some sad circumstances they helped me get access without my key to hand. Despite the extra work from them, they never complained and went out of their way to make the process as smooth as possible during a difficult time. Appreciate it very much, thank you!

I used Shurgard and I have been impressed!! Due to circumstances, I’ve moved nine times as an adult and I’ve used other storage companies. What I loved about Shurgard Wandsworth was the efficiency with the use of the app. Staff have been great!! from the beginning, including when I have had a problem with the app. Amongst many great staff members I have been helped by, two colleagues I’ll like to highlight are Caroline and Anthony, I valued their listening ear and help with all my storage needs ( I stored my dad’s dresser amongst other things as a keepsake as he died when I was only seven years old, this has been very precious to store as I temporarily moved to smaller accommodation. I am extremely!!!! grateful for this ). Once I used the loo in Shurgard and it was absolutely spotless and it looked like it had been newly refurbished. I gave feedback to Anthony and he said he makes sure it’s very clean. All the very best to Shurgard staff team and customers. A happy and grateful customer.

I had an excellent experience with Shurgard when I needed to downsize my unit last weekend. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and completely stress-free. I have rented a unit in the Wandsworth location for a year now, and the facilities are clean, secure, and very well maintained, which gave me real peace of mind about storing my belongings there.

What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service from Caroline, who was incredibly helpful. She took the time to explain everything clearly over the phone, answered all my questions, and made sure I found the right storage option for my needs.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Shurgard to anyone looking for reliable storage, and Caroline is a real credit to the team.

I have had cancelled my promotion period booking more than 15 days ago and received email confirmation as well yet they deducted £694 pounds from account, that’s not just fraud but misuse of card details. I heard they have done This with many customers, they are fraud, they don’t reply back emails of such issues arise and there is no customers service to fix it, neither any complaint procedure. Even if you cancel the direct debit they still take money out

The staff available to assist all the time. And provided all facilities that was required. Much appreciated for their generosity.

Poor service I tried verifying id first they didn’t verified I booked another unit somewhere and than after weeks they automatically verified and trying to charge

I have had a unit since 2022 in Wandsworth, and the service has gone downhill very quickly whilst the prices have soared steeply.
If you try to ring their support number, you are directed to countless other random stores and never get a resolution because they can't transfer to the right person or contact centre.
There is no one physically on the site at all 7 days a week from Shurgard and it's an unmanned site.
There are works going-on without notice and the place is a mess. Please don't use the service and I had to eventually move out.

Online booking system easy to use, took advantage of their offer of first month rent a £1 which is an amazing deal.
Detailed email follow up of how to access the unit and what to do if any issues. Unit was bigger than I expected and holds a lot of stuff for 20sqft. Whole area clean and tidy and other users very helpful and respectful

Helpful workers. Very simple and easy to understand process. Overall everything was quick and effective, the facilities were very easy to navigate as well. I would totally recommend their services.
