Cheap place but impossible to cancel your contract.
Gym was fine but gets 1 star for awful customer services, deliberately confused cancellation policy (website says cancel DD, their customer services say you need to give a month, then will try and bill you extra).
Also which basic gym has a “joining fee” in 2024?

Shame because I liked the place and would have gone back but not after dealing with customer services from Ashbourne Management

Absolutely love this gym everyone is very welcoming, the staff are awesome too and the manager is lovely and really changed the gym around

The gym is great, but customer service on the website is extreamly poor ! there is no phone number, its a minefield trying to cancel I will not be recomending this gym to anyone.

Recently joined Simply Gym East and so far the experience has been good. There is always some member of staff around if help is needed and the gym is always kept clean and tidy. However, I do have a few points to raise.

I feel some of the equipment could do with being updated with the cable machines needing some maintenance as they do not run as freely as they should, along with a lot of the attachments being worn out or broken.

I also find it annoying setting weight on the main cable machine/multi gym (the one that also incorporates the pulldown and seated row etc) with the flip switch type mechanism, I think it would be much better with the pin type like the other cable machines for ease of setting weight and utilising drop sets etc. Also, some of the stickers on this machine that identify the amount of weight being used are worn away or completely gone so having to keep counting or guessing the weight.

Also, some of the benches are missing wheels that allow ease of movement and again could do with being updated or at least maintained a bit better.

The last suggestion would be to have a dedicated dip and shrug machine and this gym would have everything you would ever need.

All in all so far so good but would love to start seeing the above points raised actioned for everyone’s benefit.

Gym equipment is great, plenty of space, loads of machines and free weights! The classes they have are good. Great that it's 24hours. Nice and quiet at night time. Just an overall good gym for a good price.

I have enjoyed my experience so far. Jason was kind enough to show me around the facilities. The equipment is great. Lockers, water filling machine, even green sweat cloths available is a nice touch. Music atmosphere is great. Shower toilet facilities and more lockers is great.

I've been a member of simply for 2 weeks, the 2 visits I've managed have been brilliant. The amount of variety of equipment means I'm getting everything I need from the gym. Would highly recommend to others

Simply gym Walsall is the best gym I’ve been to, the range of classes and gym equipment is amazing, Pete is a grafter, always working real hard to encourage the clients, and Alan is the best PT ever.

Never before have I stuck at going to the gym-until now!
Walsall has created a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where the staff are always helpful and it's a fun place to be. Chris and his team are a credit to Simply Gym.

Staff are very helpful, gym is clean and all equipment is great. Classes are great to join in with. Been at the gym 3 years and wouldn’t wish to change.

I think it's easy to sign up and equipment is enough for everyone

Great equipment, the only thing I would love to see is a back extension (free weight) but other than that can’t fault it at all.

Signed up for gym membership, no where was I told you have to pay one month direct debit ,cancelled instantly within it being set up after having used the gym max 5 times in the first month and then sent threatening emails saying I owe £20 from harlands then £39.99 with no resolution given. I’ve never had this problem with PureGym which is where I go now. Have told all friends to avoid simply gym because of this awful money making practice
