Forgot my sporran, realised 1 1/2 hours before wedding. Couldn’t have been more helpful or efficient in getting me fixed up with a hire sporran. Loved the sporran too.

I was already familiar with Slanj as I bought a tailored tartan suit from their old Edinburgh store about 25 years ago. So, needing some tartan trousers for my forthcoming World Cup trip to Boston, I was happy to find that their attentive and professional service was still very much in evidence at their Duke Street store.

Discussing the required style and fit with Brian, my trews were ordered and ready to be made. Fortunately the chosen tartan fabric was in stock so I was delighted when Alastair contacted me within 2 weeks to arrange collection.
The trousers fitted perfectly with no alterations required. I was so impressed that I ordered a back-up pair of trousers in a different tartan.

It's great to get such a warm, personable service and much, much better than ordering online and hoping for the best.
I thoroughly recommend Slanj to anyone requiring top quality tartan trousers, kilt, waistcoat or accessories.

Way back in the early 1990s I had a tartan suit designed by Slanj in their Edinburgh shop. The suit is still in great condition, although I can't fit into the trousers anymore. The Edinburgh shop closed and i assumed that the company had disappeared.
By coincidence I was working in Cameron House and a van with Slanj on the side drives up with a delivery of kilts for a wedding. I spoke with the driver and was told that the company is alive, well and thriving in Glasgow
I drove over to Glasgow explained my story and commissioned a new pair of trousers. Picked them up yesterday. Perfect fit and great contemporary style.

Excellent service from day one. We had a couple of our kilts not fitting but got quickly changed over with zero hassle or fuss. The staff at Duke Street went above and beyond. 5 stars.

I am a member of a Charity known as Mind the Men and recently we were nominated for a BBC Making a Difference Award. The Awards Ceremony was held within the BBC Studios Glasgow and prior to the Event Slanj Kilts offered to provide kilts and all accessories to those attending on behalf of the Charity (8 in total) free of charge.

This act of kindness was greatly appreciated by all those attending on behalf of the Charity and we all looked splendid in our kilts on the day and certainly stood out from the crowd.

The outfits were fantastic and the staff who measured us for the kilts and jackets, etc. were a credit to the Company.

In a world when money appears to be everything Slanj Kilts went that extra mile for us and their kindness and generosity was greatly appreciated.

I have used the duke street store tfp hire kilts for 7 ppl. All members of the stuff were very helpful and professional. No rushing about, everything been done exaacly why I wanted it. Members of the stuff went extra mile to make sure we were happy with everything detail. Great store and great store members, freindly polite and they made this a stress free and very pleasant experience. Hopefully I won't need to get married again any time soon 😂🙈 but I will recommend this store to anyone I know. Good prices compare to some other stores we have seen, better stock and team works with everyone to make sure customer get exsacly what customer wanted.

From the initial enquiry, about purchasing a kilt, through measuring, fitting, collection and a post sale alteration the team were fantastic, Mr. Arnott was especially helpful, knowledgable and pleasant throughout. Me and my 3 groomsmen got 4 kilts from Slanj kilts on St Enochs square. I can happily say I will be back, we went on the 7th September and got fitted, it was such an easy process, I got the exact kilts I wanted for us and everything was true to size, prices were very reasonable considering the selections as there was so many to choose from, I go to Canada in October for my cousins wedding and will be returning to get my kilt for this wedding also.

Tried on a 46R jacket and waistcoat, waistcoat fitted and jacket was short on sleeves. Tried on a 46L jacket and all good. On collection was given a 46L jacket and waistcoat. Went in to have it changed and was informed they didn’t hire a long jacket and a regular waistcoat together. All hires need to be of the same size and I would need to hire two sets to enable this combo. Not informed of this during try on and couldn’t wear it. Returned unworn.

Their arrangements are beautiful. They were willing to make adjustments to flower selections show on their website. I have used them to deliver three arrangements in the past couple of weeks.

The level of customer service is outstanding. Friendly, patient and knowledgeable. I cannot speak more highly about them.

Absolutely outstanding help and advice from Steven, from choosing the tartan for the kilt to everything else to complete the outfit for the wedding.
His help in navigating the huge range of tartan available was invaluable and the finished look is fantastic. What a stunning kilt!
The price to buy the full outfit was pretty compelling too.
We're going to hire the kilt outfits for the groomsmen from here also, great choice and price.
On a side note, I love the new store at the St Enoch centre, it's huge and very central. I'll be doing some gift shopping from here for sure.
