Easy and intuitive installation
Unit came very well packed. The instructions were very simple to follow. Two wires connect the entire unit since all the other electronics are inside. There is a small plug inside the light base that plugs in and powers everything else. The diode light unit is very unique and also sheds plenty of light. The remote is easy to pair with the unit. Fan speed and direction can only be controlled by the remote control. Several light settings on the remote allow you to set a mood and a tone and brightness of the light.Fan is whisper quite as well but produces a nice breeze. It even has a setting for 'nature', which is a very gentle breeze.Very easy assembly and cool fan blades that remind me of an airplane propellar. Very happy with the purchase and recommend it highly.

The fan was packaged very well and was easy to install. However, once installed, the fan and light did not work. We verified that power was getting to the unit. When Smafan was notified they sent us a new housing that contains the motor and light - no questions asked.
The fan works great, very quiet and almost no wobble and it looks good.

Do not buy Smafan

Smafan sent a replacement motor. I had to pay someone AGAIN to replace the extremely NOISY motor that was installed I the first place. This replacement worked the way it should , no noise.
SO…..Smafan SHOULD BE PATING BACK ONE INSTALLATION FEE BECAUSE THEY SENT ME A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT ORIGINALLY.

When you receive an item from a company and it does not work straight out of the box, the company should take responsibility for its defective workmanship.
Smafan did not. They sent me a new part. But despite them being 100% at fault for the non-working fan, I, the customer, must now pay AGAIN for installation.

Good looking fan but difficult to install on vaulted ceiling
Instructions did not really take into account mounting fan on high vaulted ceiling. Orienting the mounting bracket as described in instructions will NOT allow fan to hang vertically on an angled vaulted ceiling. This could also be a basic design flaw. The design of the mounting bracket does not have sufficient room or play for the Adapter AND the incoming electric wires - it makes the fitting too tight and difficult. THis is especially difficult while standing on a ladder at 10 to 12 feet off the floor trying to overcome these flaws.

First time and future customer
The customer service from order to delivery was amazing for our first experience with this brand. Our rep, Hugo, was proactive in letting me know about any delays, and quick to respond when I had questions.
The product is still in the box due to on going remodeling but the quality looks nice at a glance.
I will be making this my first stop for future purchases.
