I am a real estate investor who was looking at a cost-effective alternative to direct mailing.

I am a real estate investor who was used to direct mails. But the rising cost of mailing made me think of an alternative. I was thinking of moving to a texting platform, but was skeptical at first. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the results I was able to achieve within the first month of joining them and running my campaign. I was able to close my first deal within the first month making over $7,500 on it. The cost of this platform is about 1/8th of the direct mails for a comparable result and the best part is results are much quicker! I would highly recommend trying them out even if you are skeptical! Thanks Smarter Contact and keep up the good work!

The app & platform has so So SO many bugs!

The app & platform has so So SO many bugs! It's ridiculous. At $800+ a month, I would expect the platform to be really well maintained. Instead I encountered so many bugs, that made the usage terrible.

1. Mobile app does not receive calls properly. It often doesn't even make calls properly. I try to switch to speaker phone and it just doesn't work. Then on the headset, I can't even hear the phone ringing.

2. Sometimes I click the info page, and a totally different info page loads up, a different contact than the one whose thread I'm on.

3. The keyboard doesn't pop up properly when trying to text. I'd be happy to even attach videos I have of all these bugs.

Their remote support / sign up team is pretty solid, they help a decent amount. The number rotation and template usage is good. Their reports on reply rate is solid. But these things were so annoying it made it damn near unusable.

Oh and

4. You will not get notifications for messages like a normal messaging app. You have to use the label function then enable messages for that label, which is a huge bug, because then you can't use the label function for anything other than enabling messages on your phone.

There's even more I can't think of now....

Things have been going smoothly so far.

We're only in our first month, but I've been impressed with their commitment to continuous improvement. I believe we're on the right track to build a stronger business relationship with Smarter Contact.

10/10 would Recommend

Smarter Contact has been awesome for our bulk SMS marketing. We have increased our volume and found more conversations which leads to more business. I would recommend also because they integrate well with my CRM, REISift, and have a very responsive support team.

Look closely at reviews. They keep calling trying to get sign ups but haven’t provided any live testimonials.

I feel ripped off

I feel ripped off. The way they marketed it was completely different from what I got after signing up. As soon as I joined, suddenly there are all these “rules” they never mentioned before. I only went with them because they said I could text pretty freely, and now that’s clearly not the case. If I knew this upfront, I wouldn’t have signed up. Pretty frustrating experience overall, and I can't get my money back.

Real Support

The best thing I can say about this platform, is how they are readily available to help always whether you are at the beginning doing your 10DLC or have been a user for years, I can always get a quick response and they continue to follow up until my issue is rsolved.

Please practice what you preach

Not really user friendly for beginners like me, gotta do it all on your own, the registration, the number refresh, constantly fearing block rates…unstable campaigns and very basic customer service not really helpful when there’s a real problem

We had a critical issue with our Zapier…

We had a critical issue with our Zapier integration, and Ruslan at Smarter Contact completely saved the day. His technical knowledge is outstanding. He responded quickly, first identifying and fixing an issue with the payload type. Even when we discovered more complex data field mapping problems, including a nested variable error and the challenge of linking to the 'County' field, he found a creative, lasting solution. The level of support we received from Ruslan was truly exceptional. Thank you for resolving such a tricky problem for us!

Customer service is always on point and super helpful. Software does what its supposed to with minimal problems and is easy to use for a first time user. I recommend using this if your marketing relies on SMS blasts.

Scammy Subscription Practices — Very Hard to Downgrade or Cancel Without Getting Charged

Be aware. Stay away from this company.
They make it extremely difficult to downgrade or cancel your plan, and you may end up being charged when you already tried to prevent it.
Before my renewal date, I attempted to downgrade or cancel through their website. Upgrading takes one click. Downgrading? The same button suddenly redirects you to “Contact Support.” You are blocked from managing your own subscription yourself.
I contacted support before the renewal explaining I wanted to downgrade or cancel unless there was a truly budget-friendly option. Instead of handling the request, I was repeatedly presented with different plans and pricing offers. The back-and-forth continued while the renewal date passed.
I replied promptly to messages, including over the weekend. Then communication stopped — and my card was charged over $800.
Only after the charge did they tell me cancellation must be done “inside the app,” something never mentioned earlier and something that contradicts their own website, which directs users to contact support to cancel.

Game-Changing SMS Marketing Platform for Real Estate

I’ve been using Smarter Contact for about 6 months, and it has completely transformed the way we manage our SMS marketing. The delivery and response rates are much higher and more consistent compared to the previous platform we used. I especially love that everything is integrated into one system — SMS blasting, CRM, and even calling sellers directly — which saves a huge amount of time and makes our workflow so much smoother.

Smarter Contact makes things easier for land investors

Started using Smarter Contact recently and the experience has been great so far. It is really simple to create labels in order to stay organized and track metrics. Being able to make text and calls from the same platform streamlines our process and saves time. Creating templates and campaigns are pretty straightforward and the follow up features are easy to set and let the system do the work. Still trying to learn all the features that Smarter Contact has to offer but it has proven to be a wonderful tool for our land investing business.
