Really slow

The worst company I have ever dealt with. They suggested they might sue me for my low review so I would be suspicious of the proportion of high reviews here. We had weeks of sleepless nights because of their incompetence and our completion was delayed while they requested signiatures from deceased relatives and promised phone calls that never materialised. They revealed confidential information about a family member's bank statement. Please try to use a firm where an actual solicitor deals with every aspect of your purchase. We would have been happy to pay more for better service, instead, we paid more for worse.

I was recommended Smart Legal and Michelle Ford by name when I asked from my Estate Agent for a really efficient legal service to support a house purchase, including a remortgage on a second property. Michelle Ford and Nikhil George did a really great job and got me through both the purchase and the remortgage quickly, efficiently and affordably. Fabulous digital systems that worked really well, moved things forward very quickly, and kept postal and in-person visits to an absolute minimum despite my being a complex client with a number of special needs. I can't recommend them highly enough - really impressive. Very proactive communicators with me and others whenever that was needed. I know just what a difference good systems can make, working in data myself and also having earlier this year helped a family member to sell a flat the old-fashioned way. What a contrast!

Dena acted on my wife's behalf for the sale of her property. Whilst we had a few hiccups at the beginning of the process, Dena really came through at the end to complete the transaction. Thank you Dena.
