Excellent survey software, fantastic customer support.

Setting up the survey was simple and I had good feedback from the respondents.
The analysis takes a bit of getting used to but you can download to trusty excel if needed.

Easy to us platform.

As a BSc Biomedical Sciences student conducting a research study that required the use of an online questionnaire, I researched various survey hosting platforms. SmartSurvey was the only one I found that met my requirements for UK-hosted servers, GDPR compliance, and security assurances. Being able to select a WCAG web accessible compliant template was also a major selling point as many of the participants completing my survey would have visual impairments.
The wide range of question types (17 question types) available made it really easy to structure my survey the way I needed to, with a huge variety of possible customisations, enabling me to select a wide range of question types and options, including the formatting of text.
SmartSurvey offers a number of template questions such as questions about location, with answer options pre-defined (but editable). Depending on participant answers, skip logic can be applied to questions to take respondents to other questions or pages of the survey
Customisable error pages, messages, and a customisable final 'thank you' survey page made it really easy to customise the messages to meet the needs of my survey. The ability to upload files to a file library to attach documents to the survey was also important for my survey, and was really easy to do. Customising the survey template and adding images meant I could add my university logo to the survey, and the huge range of customisations available made it possible for me to make my survey look really professional. All of the customisation options are too numerous to mention!
The range of ways to distribute your survey is equally impressive, as is monitoring responses to your survey, and you can easily see a summary of your responses, with various ways to filter, display, and share results.
The help guides on everything about building your survey, integrating your survey with other software, collecting responses, and analysing your data makes SmartSurvey really easy to use, and when I needed to ask a question that I couldn't find an answer to in the help guides, I raised a support ticket and received a response in just a few minutes.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend SmartSurvey to any student conducting online research, and the fact that you can receive a student reduction on your subscription is a definite bonus. SmartSurvey enables you you build professional-looking surveys that will give your respondents confidence in completing your survey, and impress your tutors!

I used smart survey to create and share a survey as part of my dissertation research. Not only was it really straightforward and easy to use, with lots of options for question type and answer type etc, but it also allowed me to collect, organise and analyse my responses.

It has been so good. Makes my data collected for my dissertation so easy. Highly reccommend

I am an MA student and I’ve used the Smart Survey Student account for my research questionnaires. I was unsure how to see the Questionnaire responses and so I emailed Smart Survey and had a tailored video tutorial sent to me within 24 hours. The Questionnaires are easy to access and the site is easily navigable. Overall an outstanding service and excellent value for money.

I've tried many times to complete a survey but it always crashes at the same page; 33% in.
Previous would-be consultees were advised to report any error through the Smartsurvey website, but there isn't a way. Just the option to arrange a callback through a bot.
So it looks like I won't be able to submit an opinion on a proposed National Park in my locale before the closing date.

Danielle was excellent from first contact and was instrumental in making me choose this software, she went above and beyond in the software explanation and onboarding process. I highly recommend them.

Really good survey website . Better than smart monkey

As a student It was a great software for me with very high level features for designing a questionnaire and you can easily trust this platform because is the best one for designing a very professional survey

So easy to use and I have found the page logic and question logic features to be so helpful for my final year uni dissertation survey. Excellent for the price!

I used to use SurveyMonkey until they imposed a 2 device limit per account, the account was used by the whole team, and the only way to get more devices was to pay extra, so I cancelled SurveyMonkey and moved over to SmartSurvey

Been a SmartSurvey user for over 2 years and have been very impressed with the value and support, but now they have imposed this exact same 2 device limit for a whole team account, and the only way to get round this is to, yep you've guessed it, pay more. They even had the cheek to say this new device limit is about security, when its pure greed. As a result I have now cancelled SmartSurvey completely.

Perfect for my MBA research!
I looked at several survey providers, and even trialled some. SmartSurvey was by far the best option, easy to use with all the tools to create and analyse the survey responses. I had a few questions after starting to use SmartSurvey, the support team were amazing! Thank you.

I've used SmartSurvey for my PhD research and work based feedback, I like the opportunity to create charts straight from the data for quick analysis, the opportunity to analyse text and that I can export to spss. Overall it's a really good bit of software for what I'm using it for.

The data gathered was very easy to read and understand. It made working on my dissertation that much easier.

Survey responses are well laid out and organised for you to view all the results together. The data analysis function are a great addition which I was not expecting. For example it can pull out words that are commonly used in responses and tell you the number of times these key words were used. For a student smart survey is great
