We had an excellent experience with Smithers creating a custom marble table, and we appreciate everything about the final product. Communication was easy and direct; they responded to all messages instantly via WhatsApp and answered everything, even the stupid questions.

The marble table took 3 months which I think is about normal for custom furniture, so we were fine waiting for what we eventually saw was a really great final product.

The 5-star rating really goes to Nick Smith since the customer service he provided was just incredible. The craftsmanship also provides incredible quality and great detail. Now that we have this table, we are also really glad we found Smithers through Homes & Gardens.

We definitely would like to recommend them since they really are a great to work with furniture company.

Smith Of Stamford claim to be both the designers & manufacture of all item they sell.
However large number of item on their website are listed on other sites for less than they are charging.
I have emailed them about this, but still had no reply from them. Glad I did more research before I purchased for them I saved 30% on their price.

Very impressed with the communication from start to finish. We ordered a custom item made to order, it took around 8 weeks to build and about 2 weeks for delivery, which is exactly what they told us.

I’ve been searching all over London for furniture and vintage pieces, and eventually came across Smithers in Shoreditch. Ended up buying a beautiful blue neon sigh, a real vintage one from around the 1950s (as Nick explained). The price was fair quality is spot on, and sing looks pristine after their restoration work.

Customer service was great too. Proper friendly, helpful, and they actually know their stuff instead of giving scripted answers. Really pleased with the purchase and the experience overall. Happy to recommend them

Beautiful Custom Neon Sign

We ordered a custom pink LED neon sign for our granddaughter’s bedroom here in London and absolutely love it. It was made specially for her birthday, arrived in roughly two weeks, and the quality is outstanding. It gives off a gorgeous glow and she was over the moon with it. I’m in Texas and ordered a life size gold plated skeleton from Smithers. I was a little nervous about shipping something that crazy all the way here, but honestly, these guys are absolute professionals. It didn’t just turn up in a box it arrived in a wooden crate that looked like a mini coffin, and I loved it.

The attention to detail was insane. They even had a little spirit level attached so you could tell if the crate had been dropped during shipping. Who does that? Only people who truly care about their products.

Everything arrived perfect and exactly how they promised. If you want something unique and conversation-worthy, Smithers is the place. I’ll definitely be ordering again

We purchased a carved wooden letter “A” from Smithers and honestly couldn’t be happier. The piece is beautifully made from reclaimed wood and looks fantastic on the wall. The attention to detail is amazing — you can tell it’s been properly crafted, not mass-produced.

I spent weeks trying to find a decent neon sign for my salon. Tried a couple of other companies first and honestly the quality was awful – flimsy acrylic, lights flickering, and one even turned up with scratches.

Found Smithers by chance on Google and the difference was night and day. The design options were brilliant, communication was quick, and the sign they made for me is stunning. Proper bright, clean finish, and feels like it’s built to last.

ordered sitting bulldog on 31st December 2023, was sent wrong item.Had numerous contact with Nick and eventually return of the item was arranged. I have contacted them twice for refund and still waiting. At the price of the item i would have expected better customer service. extremely disappointing experience.Poor service from the start.
