SCAM!!! Inadvertently subscribed when trying to set up a yopmail email account. Took 1p from my bank then next day attempted to get £39.99. My bank contacted me about a potential fraud - but it meant cancelling my debit card. Beware they seem to hijack genuine websites - with this many scams, how are they still operating?!?!?

I echo all the others. A scam who take money without consent.

I was trying to download Ringo app for parking. But gave up trying.

I saw a payment for 1p and £39.99 on my credit card.

I had been joined to this scam company with no consent to take above monies.

I had to get the bank to sort out this mess!

Scam!! Luckily my bank rejected payments but had to then call bank and go through process to place block on company making further claims.

This is absolutely a scam, I was trying to renew my Microsoft subscription which you have to press a blue shield and up popped a blue shield that looked like the Microsoft one but it was this one pretending to be it. At first I didn't notice but Microsoft was still asking for payment, only smooth-hub.com had put through a payment of £0.01p appeared on my credit card and straight after a subscription payment of £39.99 which I had done unknowingly, I followed through where it had come from and yep the dreaded blue shield and realised what had happened. So then the mess of contacting my bank, change of card and waiting for the pending payment to go through before the bank could stop it. All very stressful.

Scammed into a subscription I have no idea what for. Trying to set up an LG smart TV and told I had to prove I was over 18years old. Reported to Bank, as they have taken money already. Absolute fraud. Stressful mess.

Reading all the reviews, I have to agree, its a total scam! I have had to cancel my card and instigate a fraud alert with the bank! I don't even know where the initial 1p came from. But definitely saw the £39.99 they tried to, in essence, steal from me. And Banks must be aware of this scam by now as the bank notified me of the transaction being potential fraud.

I have never subscribed to or known this Company. My bank alerted me and blocked a payment for £39.99. I have received an email from this company saying I have unsubscribed when I have never contacted or known of them. My card is now blocked, thankfully. There is no telephone number for this company. I have sent them an email requesting one so my fraud department can contact them. We will see. Avoid

These are SCAMS!!!!! SENT BY THE NHS TO CHECK MY I.D TO HAVE THESE SCUM ATTEMPTING TO TAKE £39.99 PUT MY BANK. luckily for me my money is always in the savings.

Yes what Cliff said is right. I couldn't unsubscribe and then entered my address ending 'gmail' and it at least recognised it. I cancelled my card 3days ago but still showing pending on my bank account. I got scammed trying to pay an online parking ticket in Durham

Smoothhub piggy backs on other companies. I was using Smartswitch to transfer everything from my old phone to my new one and it said I needed to pay 1p to do so. 3 days later Smoothhub tried to take 39.99 out of my bank account. Luckily my bank blocked it. Apparently Smoothhub intended to take this monthly. Anyway, informed the fraud team and they have cancelled my card but I still have to keep an eye on my account to make sure they can't get access. I wasn't actually receiving any service from Smoothhub so I don't know how they can charge me. Beware.

My bank just sent me a fraud alert that this merchandiser tried to extract a £39.99 credit card payment from me. My card had to be blocked and a new one issued.
Kudos to the bank. Avoid Smooth Hub!

As others have said, this outfit piggyback genuine sites and cons you into entering your details. A lit of people have said they cannot unsubscribe, this is because they are trying to use their regular email address. This bunch of scumbags actually use your Gmail address to sign you up. So you need to use that to unsubscribe.

Complete scammers. Have taken 39.99 from my account. Unsure how they got my information. Have since tried twice to take more money. Thankfully my bank contacted me and has blocked the.

Suite à une fausse publicité sur Facebook je me suis retrouvé abonné sans possibilité de rétractation a un site lamentable proposant des réductions sur des articles inutiles.
Bref, trop tard j'avais été prélevé de 2 fois. Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise en découvrant que ce site avait une nouvelle fois fait passé un prélèvement de 29,99€ sur le même compte. Je me suis vertement plaint à ma banque qui m'a remboursé et m'a proposé de remplacer ma carte gratuitement

total scammers. Husband got sucked in and now can't access facebook or ebay because someone else changed his password. Goodness only know what else. Bank blocked them, and told us to keep an eye on any attempts to take more than 1p off us.

This is a scam website. I tried to pay for parking at Southampton Docks just now. I got a notification about the £39.99 per deduction. Had to block my card immediately. Avoid these people at all costs.

I was trying to verify my identity as a director for companies house. I somehow got transferred to this site via a bar code reader. They said to ser ip they would take 1p fine just checked my account and they took 39.99 the following day to access a site I dont want. No way of getting in touch reliably and will have to go to the bank to block
