I bought a pair “on sale” for £19.99 and what arrived seemed ok (not great though) but immediately I put them on I noticed one of the nose pads was wobbly and it fell off. When I contacted Son of Zeus they informed me I couldn’t have a refund because it was a sale item, which is “clearly shown on the website.” They only offered a store credit or replacement when the pair was in stock again (they still aren’t after 11 days...) I called citizen’s advice and they informed me that it’s Illegal practice as all items bought online must come with a no questions asked 14 day money back guarantee. If you look at Son Of Zeus’s website you’ll see most pairs are marked as either “out of stock” or “on sale” so I wonder if many pairs they sell are substandard and they rely on ill informed customers so they can shift them. I also noticed through waybackmachine.com that the pair I bought were on sale at £19.99 months ago so I doubt they were ever sold at the supposed full price of £30 (If they were they were hugely overpriced.) If so, This is also illegal.

I emailed them with links to all the relevant legal info from the gov’t website and eventually they agreed to refund me, but only for the glasses, not return postage. I then told them that was also illegal, so they agreed to pay it. Today I got the refund and they didn’t include the postage cost.

If you fancy getting blood out of a stone then go ahead and take your chances. I think they are selling cheaply made glasses you can find for a third of the price elsewhere and using sharp practices to keep legitimately unhappy customers from getting their money back.

UPDATE - today, after I emailed again, they refunded the postage cost. They still list the illegal return policy on their website though.

My experience was really bad. I do not recommend this site to anyone. The worst customer service I ever got.
I bought a sunglass. They sent me a faulty one, the hinge of sunglass was very tight and so hard to bend the arm. If I bend the arm a few times this will definitely break.so this is how the item came and it's clear this is not postal damage or anything but this site didn't check the item properly before sending.
When I report the site about the faulty item they sent, they said I have to pay for the return. Why would I pay for the postage to return a faulty item they sent? The customer service kept arguing saying I have to pay for the postage to return the item back to them.

This online simply steals customers money.

DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Sadly the ones I ordered weren’t actually in stock. However I received some excellent customer service as someone from the team called me, let me know what other options I had and posted out for the next day!
