Very positive experience

Working with the Sonovate team was smooth and lovely. Great communication at all times and clear briefs. The team were also fast to answer the phone or set up zooms if I had any doubts about the brief. Overall very positive experience and would work together again in the future, no doubt.

I would recommend to AVOID Sonovate

AVOID, PLEASE DO DUE DILIGENCE!!!
IF YOU'RE AN AGENCY OWNER PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE...

Seemed like a really good idea initially, The contractor online platform is great and they'll do a great job at selling you the service but this is where it all goes downhill and you'll buy it because of the online platform...

If you want a company who will give you MORE work to do, MORE headaches with clear lack of training or knowledge, MORE compliance to do then go with SONOVATE.

I let so many red flags pass because I gave them benefit of the doubt, you'll have to chase all the emails again and again to get a reply. Some emails were even being opened 20+ times before a reply.

The majority of positive reviews are even written in the same language/phrasing the guys that work at Sonovate use, not surprised...However, I'm not saying the reviews are fake but do simple search of the names in the positive reviews, most are fake...

HIDDEN FEES, DONT EXPECT TO TAKE ANY OF YOUR MARGIN EVENTHOUGH YOU HAVE TO DO ALL THE WORK FOR THEM

Cowboys and only care about money, NOT your business.

Don't expect a 'dedicated account manager' as you 'haven't done a significant amount of business with Sonovate' [even though you're promised one from day one]

Lack of communication internally and externally.
Complete lack of training.
They can't read timesheets or invoice properly, I had to dictate the process.

Absolute lack of cohesion

They offered me a discount when I said I'm leaving. Quite frankly, wouldn't work with them even if it was free.

As a new business, you want to make sure you make good decisions for your business, unfortunately I made a bad call and learned the hard way, do not make the same mistake as me. If you're a small business owner, please don't make this mistake for your business....

Other options, there's a really good guy called Jim @ Business Expert Invoice Finance, he will put you in contact with a few different companies based on your circumstances, best of all his service is free. Then you have a choice of many reputable companies who actually care about your business and will do everything for you.

He pointed me in the direction of:
Positive Cashflow
Bibby Financial Services

But also offered many other options too.

We're sorry to read this feedback and are slightly confused. The last time we spoke you seemed content with our efforts to remedy the issues. Although initially there seemed to be miscommunication on both parts, we had made a significant gesture of good will in order to keep you.

Whilst ultimately we were unable to keep you as a customer, we were under the impression from the friendly email and sign-off you sent on 11th June that you had appreciated the lengths to which we went in order to try to help and solve the problem and parted ways on good terms.

We're sorry that you felt you had to write this review several weeks after we had closed off your account as our last communication was on good terms.

We would be happy to pick this back up with you if you feel we could have done something more? Please do get in touch.

Generally speaking everyone I talk to…

Generally speaking everyone I talk to is empathetic, kind and helpful so I want to rate this as 5 stars. On occasion I have had one quite cold and unfriendly support person which has made me feel quite frustrated. Mostly so far so good and this morning those that dealt with my client and me were outstanding.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Company takes on business without performing diligence checks, apologise for their mistake and then try to penalise you (their paying client). We are now using an alternative funding company who do things properly. It's a shame you have to go through the cowboys to find the good companies that support you without solely seeing pound signs.

Unfortunately, Sonovate does not currently fund CIS placements, which is why we ensure to discuss this in full with all prospective new customers in order to avoid any confusion or disappointment. From all of our communication with Chris, our records show that this was not a sector you were planning to place into at first - but of course we appreciate that things change. We apologise if this was not made clear enough. That said, it appears that all other placements which you funded through Sonovate were paid in full, on time, to both your business and the contractors. We look forward to perhaps re-engaging when we are able to offer the solution you require. We wish you all the best with your new financier in the meantime.

Sonovate is a great support

I wanted to express how good I have found Sonovate's service. Although their team has often said on numerous occasions “its all part of the service” I don't think it would be easy to find a business who has helped as much and with so much enthusiasm. They have consistently and repeatedly gone far further than I would have imagined. They helped close our first candidate to use Sonovate and helped our new fledgling business make its first contract placement. We are likely to have another placement soon and plan to use Sonovate for the foreseeable future. Sonovate easy to use portal and support team is as smooth as any business could want.
