Surrounded by fields this Crematorium in Garford is an excellent facility with modern choices to enhance the Service. The use of modern media. The north glass wall allows light in and a chance to look out and reflect. Modern and clean. Not a big venue if you expect big numbers to attend.

The crematorium is well tended which reflects respect. The staff are courteous and helpful.

Very calm, service wasn’t rushed, plenty of time.
Disappointed there is no waiting area and toilets go straight from the outside, all fine on a lovely day, but that can’t be guaranteed

The experience at the Crematorium was one of calm and efficiency from the parking to the service and the whole atmosphere.

Excellent chapel and grounds.

This is a lovely little Crematorium. The only issue is parking. If there are a couple of large funerals, one after the other, it can be an issue. I’m sure they are aware, and will be addressing this. It still doesn’t take away from the fact that it’s an asset to have this locally. We had my Mother’s Service there earlier this month, and everyone commented on the beautiful surroundings.

Everything went extremely smoothly and staff were very helpful and supportive . A lovely setting for such an occasion . I do think a different name for the venue would avoid any confusion with the Oxfordshire Crematorium at Headington .

Sadly, whilst we had a beautiful service, in beautiful surroundings, the day was spoilt by the pressure we were under to ensure that we were finished in the allotted 40 minutes. This spoilt the service as we were constantly looking at our watches. Also, because of the time constraints, our eulogies had to be shortened or rushed, and didn't do justice to my beloved husband. Our friends and relatives were then urged to move on to the venue of the wake. With hindsight, we should have booked the next session too.

My lovely mum had expressed a wish for her cremation to take place here and I am so pleased that she made such an excellent choice. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the setting quite peaceful.
As other reviewers indicate the addition of a waiting room would be good and no doubt additional parking.

I found that they were very helpful because of the distance that we live from the crematorium and kept us informed of everything that was being arranged for us regarding the service and interment of my mother.

The SOC&MP deserves its 5 stars. The layout of the room, the furnishing and decoration are respectful of its role. The park itself is peaceful, well designed and a pleasure to walk around.

We were very satisfied with the excellent arrangements at Garford. The only slight quibble would be the siting of the fixed camera used for the webcast.

The crematorium had a lovely open and light feel to it, with the glass wall to one side. Everything went smoothly and there was a feeling of calm. The screens where images could be displayed worked very well. Easy parking and well organised all round which is just what is needed at the sort of occasion. Thank you
