Misleading Listing, Broken Promises & Highly Concerning Communication

I placed an order on amazon clearly advertised as packs of 10 elbow fittings, yet what arrived was only 3 single fittings. This was not a misunderstanding — the listing itself was misleading.

When I raised the issue, the seller acknowledged the mistake and agreed to send the correct replacement: 3 packs of 10, supposedly within 2–3 business days. That deadline passed with no delivery, no update, and no tracking information.

What followed was even more concerning.
When I requested tracking details, the seller replied with a single word: “cancel” — with no explanation or context.
This raises serious doubts about their professionalism and reliability.

The situation has caused avoidable delays to essential work at my property, wasting both time and money.

Additionally, after experiencing this level of service, I looked back at the positive reviews on their profile. Based on my experience, many of these reviews do not appear consistent with the service I received, and some of them raise questions about their authenticity. Prospective customers should judge the reviews carefully.

Overall, the misleading listing, the lack of transparency, the broken promises, and the worrying communication speak for themselves. I would urge others to exercise extreme caution before placing an order with this seller.

Thank you for replying, but your response here leaves out several key parts of what actually happened.

You mentioned difficulties with the listing system and that you attempted to remove it multiple times. That may be the case, but the listing was still live, fully active, and available for purchase when I placed the order, which meant customers were being misled at the point of sale.

More importantly, the issues weren’t limited to the listing itself.

You agreed to send the correct replacements (3 packs of 10), but they were never dispatched. No tracking was ever provided, and when I requested an update I received a single-word message: “cancel”. That level of communication is not consistent with the professionalism presented here.

The refund was issued only after the replacements were not sent, which closed the matter without supplying the correct items. This caused delays to scheduled work on my end—something your public reply does not address.

Your Trustpilot response presents the situation very differently to how it was handled privately.

For amazon we use an app called, MarketPlace connect. it Sync's the website & Amazon together for a one system fits all purpose.

On this occasion and after 14 attempts on trying t0 close the listing as it was incorrect, we finally got it sorted. In that your order was taken and dispatched.

We as a 3 Person Family Business Pride ourselves on service (hence the 7pm Friday reply).

We have Retail Store In Manchester & I would like to invite you down so we can make it right with some exceptional pricing on Speedfit that we can offer.

Finally, if you wish to speak to someone directly, you can call the office from 7am-5pm and ask for Nathan, I am the Companies Sales Director & as I said we will aim to put it right.

Really bad communication

Really bad communication, two or three word responses to questions. Had a product available for sale on your website but after ordering you told me that it was discontinued. Went with a different model and have been over a week waiting for the refund. Gave me a delivery date that was completely wrong. Issued the invoice for the original product, not the one I'm actually getting.

Update:
I have now been well over a month waiting for my refund. I have provided all required infromation twice, I cannot get them on the phone and my emails are being ignored. Stay away from these guys if you have any other options.

I am not happy with the service I…

I am not happy with the service I receive from spare direct I palace 2 order with spares direct I haven't receive my delivery I place on the 03/09/2025 and there keep sending the same tracking number for the order I place on 09/09/2025, I am nearly out of pocket over £7000.00.
I not received my full delivery I place on the on the 9/9/25 I received 16 t3r not the full order.
I totally not happy with service I

Hi Mani, due to fraudulent activity being flagged up through our payment processing terminal over your transaction, it was explained to you over a phone call that this has delayed your order processing time, from our understanding you acknowledged this via a conversation with Nathan our Sales Manager, this from your end was communicated that you could sort out, a further second order has came in with the same fraudulent activity, again slowing our processing time.. we endeavour to have all orders shipped in a timely matter however due to our processing policy, this has been a problem for us, apologies for the inconvenience

Amazing service

Amazing service, despite being in a different country!

Needed a new boiler - working with our preferred engineer decided on a boiler. Spent some time doing online research, and found that prices wildly varied for the same hardware.

Found Spares Direct, and the price point wasnt the cheapest, but had decent reviews. E-mailed their team to advise what i was looking for and to confirm that all would be good.

A week after ordering, a pallet turned up with the boiler, and all the accessories - all perfectly packaged.

Our gas engineer registered the boiler warranty without any issue.

Will definitely use again!

Scam

Placed an order on 13/08, wasn’t even shipped until 19/08, promised 48 hour delivery, didn’t arrive until 27/08. At which point our client had given up and gone elsewhere meaning we no longer had any use for the order
Still waiting on refund with no response from the company
Avoid at all costs
