Caitlin throughout was very helpful with our needs as to accessible transport to and from airport to cruise ship, it was as arranged
Passenger assistance at airports was arranged however they are not under airport control and unfortunately in Malta it caused a delay of 1.30 hours getting off plane on arrival.
Overall it was our first fly cruise and a learning experience to which we have already booked another.
We will continue to have Spears as our travel agent

Love the personal touch that Spear Travel give. Caitlin listened to our ideas for our holiday and suggested a holiday in Skiathos which we promptly booked. Price was very good. Jet 2 were very well organised and we were well looked after.

This was a Fred. Olsen Fjord cruise, chosen after Spear Travels Blandford had arranged a local presentation by said company. We've taken the odd cruise before, but this one was the one where we came home the most rested, relaxed and rejuvenated. It had been an adult (grown ups) only holiday and that was nice for once. The crew on the ship were great, the food good, the entertainment passed muster and the scenery and weather surpassed our expectations. We would recommend this cruise for people that don't want to holiday on a massive cruise liner.

Thoroughly enjoyable. Liverpool is fantastic. Our driver George was excellent, very helpful and charming. Would recommend Angela's , great hotel very well organised tours and we had lovely weather. Spear Travel excellent as usual

Alesha at spears travel was a massive help from start to finish when booking our family holiday to Gran Canaria, she gave us lots of options for our holiday all within our price range and helped us with everything from booking to going. Will definitely be using spears travel in the future.

This was my first cruise with Fred Olsen, and while I was excited about the experience, there were a number of issues that unfortunately impacted my overall enjoyment of the trip.
The embarkation process at Newcastle was delayed, which caused some initial frustration. The disorganisation of the boarding process meant that our first evening onboard was affected and we left port later than expected, which was a little disappointing after looking forward to the start of the cruise.
I was made aware of the increased cleaning measures due to health concerns, which I fully understood and appreciated. However, on the first morning of the cruise, the captain announced that cases of nova virus and gastroenteritis were already onboard the ship. This was understandably concerning, especially as I had assumed that the deep cleaning procedures would have fully addressed any potential risks before we set sail.
As the cruise continued, it became clear that the situation with illness was ongoing, with the number of cases increasing daily. This resulted in several restrictions across the ship, including limited access to amenities like the hot tubs and controlled restaurant service. While I understand these measures were necessary for health reasons, they did have a significant impact on the overall cruise experience, as many of the features I was looking forward to using were unavailable.
The growing number of illness cases did cause some unease, and I felt that clearer communication about how the situation was being managed would have helped passengers feel more at ease. I’m sure this was a challenging situation for the crew, but it would have been reassuring to know more about the steps being taken to address it.
Finally, the delayed return to Newcastle caused some disruption to my onward travel plans, which added to the overall inconvenience.
While I understand that health issues can sometimes arise unexpectedly, the combination of the delayed embarkation, the illness outbreak, and the resulting restrictions left me feeling that my first cruise with Fred Olsen was not quite the experience I had hoped for. I’m sharing this feedback with the hope that future cruises can better manage these challenges and provide a more seamless experience for passengers.

Had excellent service from Lyndsey when booking flights to Australia. 4 weeks into our stay the Iran war erupted and we had the worry of flights being suspended as we were travelling Emirates via Dubai. Caroline and Lyndsey were brilliant at keeping in touch, giving excellent advice and supporting us by checking details etc. Lyndsey said they were just doing their job but we feel they went above and beyond in what was a very stressful time, we spoke to many travellers who had been abandoned by their tour companies. Lyndsey even checking on our safe return.

The break was put together by amy which included air travel, trains, hotel, car parking and the trip went like clock work, brilliant.

Abby goes above and beyond to help, she is an assets to your team. Will be back again, Thank you sooooo much Abby x

We stayed at the Davvi Star, the rooms are very basic however the communal areas are very spacious and well furnished. The food was amazing everyday with choice and plentiful. There were no hot drinks served with Lunch or Dinner, however there were tea and coffee making facilities in your room. The variety of trips along with additional tour options gave us plenty to do... Huskie driving, Reindeer Sleigh, Snowmobile, Snowshoes and trekking are just a few!! Some trips could have been a little longer as they felt a bit rushed.

Always very helpful and nothing is to much trouble. Holiday and hotel we're great, plenty of sunbeds to relax on. A great holiday to relax and unwind. Would definitely go back

Another excellent and personal service throughout from Johanna. Travelled to Las Vegas for the rugby league game, we were given a few choices of dates to make the most of the event and fit our budget.
Had a great time , connecting flights on way home caused some stress but in the end United airlines did a great job. We visited The Sphere whilst that, well worth a visit.
Would definitely recommend booking with Spears , it just makes it a much easier process than doing a DIY job.

Spears arranged an amazing last minute short break to Paris. Excellent value plenty of choice super helpful and good advice. Will definitely use them again.

A very friendly relaxing experience. We returned to Sea Breeze Beach House Hotel as it has the overall feel for a good rest with access to as much experience outside as you would wish. A very good selection of meals, frendly staff, improved booking process, three pools never crowded and Prosecco time, again improved. Everyone keen to re-book from all walks of life. Spread across a long site overlooking the sea it warrants praise. The long beach would be hard to match and the air coming off the sea is perfect. Rooms could be improved with showers not ideal but lovely big rooms and good air conditioning.

The service from Jed was excellent. He was so helpful in every aspect of finding the holiday I wanted changing things around nothing was too much for him to do. He got me my bucket list holiday always cheerful even though some of the things to do were difficult. Thank you Jed I’ll be back for another holiday for you to help me plan.
