Long before the advent of the motor car the original Thomas Startin set up his business as a coach builder in 1840. Thomas Startin Jnr Ltd was owned by the Startin family up until 1987 when the Directors who had been with the company since 1949 organised the purchase from the last living member of the Startin family. The acquisition took place to ensure the future continuity of this long-established business which now trades as Startin Group of Companies. From our humble beginnings in Birmingham, we slowly migrated south. Redditch, Worcestershire, is home to our head office where we have Peugeot, Suzuki, and KIA and Vauxhall. In Worcester City we have our Honda, Dacia, Renault, Peugeot, and Suzuki franchises, just down the road we also have our Škoda dealership on Malvern Road in Powick. In addition, we recently expanded by acquiring a Vauxhall dealership on the popular Park Farm Industrial Estate in Redditch. Vauxhall was part of the Startin Group in the late 90s, and we were thrilled to bring the brand back into our family. Last year, we expanded further by adding Startin Kia Warwick to serve the Warwickshire/South Coventry area. Previously known as Lime Garages, Kia Warwick has now relocated to our new site at the former BMW location on Heathcote Lane, Warwick, CV34 6SP.

Well worth a visit
I’ve been to a few of the Startin Group dealerships and made a few purchases as a result.
At each of the sites the staff have been professional and friendly when we’ve been there. Sites are clean and good selection of cars from new to used, which was great as we were uncertain to what we were looking for.

My darling wife and I just drove away our 1st Kia Sportage Hybrid 2023 Model. Kia Redditch made it possible by trading in our Audi Q2 paying off our balance and by offering us a generous trade in deal. Saf, the sales lead handled our purchase superbly well along with his very capable customer friendly finance team. We test drove the car 1st and decided it met all our requirements and sat down to buy. No pressure just clear concise friendly customer service. We both recommend anyone interested in purchasing a Hybrid SUV to pop into Kia Redditch who from door to drive away, made our day. Thank you everyone involved.

Very unprofessional
I sold my car to this group on Motorway. I was very honest and explained that since the sale it had developed an issue with one of the struts on the power tailgate. Paul Smith who was shown as the contact was initially ok and thanked me for my honesty. Asked me to take it to a garage to be looked at which I did. I rang back and left messages several times trying to update him and there was never a reply. Also was not replying to any emails. Very unprofessional and unnecessary. I have now sold my car elsewhere to a very professional dealership and am very happy. I would suggest avoiding this company if that’s the way they treat people.

I have now brought two cars from the Startin Group , on both occasions I was treated amazingly well, unlike other companies I have dealt with in the past…
All of the staff were kind and courteous and generally a warm and friendly environment.
The last car was brought for my daughter as it was her first car, I felt assured that it had been throughly checked over and was safe for a first time driver to build her confidence, the sales team spent a long time on the handover going through the control and some very useful driving tips.

I recently had the opportunity to purchase a car early this month & cannot recommend Nicole enough. She was polite and pleasant to deal with and was never pushy like most car sales people seem to be. Nicole was able to answer all my questions and anything Nicole did not know at the time she got back to me with the answer asap. I was well informed on how the process of my car was going. Recently took my Vauxhall Corsa in for a service and MOT. Excellent communication throughout the day regarding the repair work required, which was finished in a day. The car was also cleaned and taken back to me later that day. Excellent service all round. Highly recommend.

I took my car to Startins as I was experiencing issues with my Turbo on my Audi A3, Although they are not an Audi trained garage the team on the front desk were wonderful and so helpful, The work was covered by a warranty policy which the team made sure went thorugh smoothly. The workshop technicians did a brilliant job despite it not being the usual brand they work with and my car was back within a couple of days. Booking in was easy and a courtest car was made available for me to use keeping me mobile while my car was off road.

Nothing better than that family feel business
Had a great experience from Startin Honda and interaction from the team and a special mention to the head of business Christian Wilkinson & sales manager Marc Kitchener who personally attended everything to make sure my needs were met. Not sure Who to trust and I am now with No car for more than 4 months and my small kids family are struggling badly. Me and My wife are going through major mental stress

Startin Vauxhall Redditch. Unfortunately from parking my car on the disabled bay less than 20ft from there front door they lost my blue badge? I didn't realise until I got into Stratford Upon Avon parked on a blue badge parking bay only to find out no blue badge? I phoned they agreed it was there when I left the keys , sat down waiting only to find out it was missing when I drove home. I phoned they said they would look for it. I drove back from Stratford Upon Avon to Redditch where they were looking for it. The service manager couldn't understand why I was angry about it and said I shouldn't be talking to him in that way? As most people know it takes ages getting a blue badge and you have to pay after reporting it stolen or lost but weeks getting a replacement. Eventually they found it but really bad experience and not good attitude from the service manager finally 2 months since my initial review it's taken since early December 2024 to get a feble reply. Startin Vauxhall took over a fantastic company from Nick Cresser Vauxhall, and seeing as the service has not only gone in reverse there speedy review replies have as well. The would never have been the case when Nick owned this. Vauxhall head office this really isn't the service I was expecting to get since coming back to you. Next year my mobility car gets renewed but at this point I don't think I will be back to Vauxhall

Great Suzuki service team in Worcester
Have just had great service from the Startin Suzuki service department in Worcester. Despite buying a Suzuki elsewhere, they were incredibly helpful in trying to sort out a power steering issue. Despite a reluctant warranty company and scarcity of parts from Suzuki UK, Paul and Will did their absolute best and I am very grateful.
