Based on positive reviews, we requested Sterdts (PTY) LTD to transport our household belongings from Cape Town to Spain.
The commercial department of Sterdts responded fast and accurate on our request and questions.
That was until we complained. Then they started hiding behind their logistical department.
That department forgot to book a container for our relocation. As a result they had to use another liner that shipped the container with our goods from Cape Town to Spain via SINGAPORE.
For this ‘service’ they charged ZAR 22.000 above the originally agreed price and the total transfer time increased from a planned 4-5 weeks to 13 weeks.
To ensure payment, our goods were held ransom. Only after all extra charges were paid, the goods were delivered with (a lot of) minor damage.

So if you want your goods to arrive at their final destination in fair condition and don’t mind a lot of unexpected and unnecessary extra costs, Sterdts is the company to go to.

Had a great experience with Sterdts. Once all documents were sorted and stamped and signed the shipment arrived very quickly and the service we got from Natasha (in the office) to Nick (delivery) was exceptional. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

Transporting goods from one country to another is a stressful experience but I really have to commend Sterdts for the professional way they handled this. They kept me informed every step of the way and really did everything in their power to make the process as seamless as possible. I was able to get in contact with them at all times and they phoned me regularly to provide me with updates. I have to commend them for their relationship management skills - dealing with customers on the one hand and customs officials on the other. It is not an easy job but they handled the process with distinction.

After some initial teething problems service has been excellent . The best packing and wrapping we have ever had when moving. Big thanks to Melissa for keeping us informed and also Gert for helping to resolve an issue with the local removals company onshore.

Sterdts helped us move from South Africa to the UK in May 2021. From start to finish they did what they promised.......kept us up to date with our shipment and answered all questions promptly. There was quite a bit of finessing needed to co-ordinate shipping dates and the readiness of our new house, but it worked out perfectly! The packing was professional and quick and everything arrived in good order. Thank you Sterdts.

Simply the best service I have had from any shipping company from SA to Australia. Gert was amazing and with his help I did customs and quarantine by myself in Sydney saving me $450....this process takes time but if you have the time it is worth it.
