I dealt with Mykola Koval and, in my experience, the service was a shambles. I paid professional fees expecting specialist advice, clear answers and proper attention to my matter. What I received fell far short of those expectations.

My biggest concerns were the lack of appropriate expertise, the loss of valuable time and the repeated lack of clarity when I asked specific and important questions. In my experience, the firm was willing to take on work without being sufficiently upfront about the limits of its expertise in areas that were important to my case.

I repeatedly sought clear answers and direction on matters that were critical to progressing my case, yet I was left without the clarity I needed. I found myself having to question and chase basic aspects of the advice when I had instructed solicitors precisely because I needed specialist support.

The case management compounded the problem. There were delays, holidays and other competing commitments, and I repeatedly felt that my matter was somewhere near the bottom of a very long list of priorities. By the time I lost confidence in the service, valuable time had already been lost — time that mattered to my case and could not simply be recovered.

Ultimately, I spent significant money, lost valuable time and came away with less confidence in my position rather than more. The process itself is stressful enough without having to chase and second-guess the professionals you are paying to help you.

Based on my experience, I would not instruct Sterling Law again and cannot recommend them.

I also find this particularly disappointing given the firm's positioning and work with Ukrainian clients. Ukrainians navigating an unfamiliar legal system may be especially reliant on the expertise, candour and representations of the professionals they instruct.

In my experience, the service I received did not justify either that trust or the fees I paid. My experience left me feeling as though Ukrainian clients can be treated as mugs — expected to pay substantial professional fees without receiving the level of expertise, attention and clarity those fees led me to expect.

I cannot recommend this firm.

The UK immigration rules are incredibly complex, but Joanna Rychlicka of Sterling Law made the entire process seamless from start to finish. Sterling law is very good, they are reassuring and an understanding firm. They helped me so much when I had my application being delayed by the home office.they were so helpful reassured me through the whole process, Massive gratitude goes to Mr Shiraz peer and Joanna Rychlicka what extraordinary team, they put in the work and the results were fantastic and I really appreciate the effort they have taken.

I had originally asked for a breakdown of fees as it seemed that one item was priced very differently to others (before I paid) I never got that answer and held my second payment asking for communication, this culminated in an aggressive, after hours phonecall from the lawyer in question threatening to sue me and explaining that I had no right to know the breakdown of costs (despite giving me some items separately which is how I extrapolated that all the value was being extracted with one very comparatively overpriced item.)

We had agreed a 2-day turnaround and ended up with a 5-day turnaround with a lame excuse that it was due to me asking a separate question and therefore the 48-hours agreed should only start after that question had been answered (despite me clearly stating that I would like the review to go ahead separately from the question about billing being resolved).

I have no complaints about the advice i received, apart from the fact that I spend £750 and received six bullet points (three of which cost £150)

Very stressful experience for our family..This experience was very stressful for me and my family.

We trusted this firm to support us with an important immigration case. Unfortunately, there were serious issues in how our case was handled. In particular, there were problems with an expert report that contained incorrect information, which was raised during the hearing.

I felt that we were not properly supported at a very difficult time. Communication was not always clear, and this made the situation even more stressful for us as a family with children.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the service we received.

I had a very negative experience with Sterling Law, specifically with solicitor Otabek Golumov, regarding my asylum case.

I paid approximately £5000 for legal services and an additional £950 for an expert report. Unfortunately, the expert report contained serious errors, including information that was not related to my case. This issue was later identified during the court hearing and significantly damaged my credibility.

I raised this problem with my solicitor, and I was told it would be corrected. However, no proper corrections were made. The judge even allowed additional time for the mistake to be fixed, but the incorrect document was still relied upon and not properly addressed.

As a result, the tribunal noted the inconsistencies and gave little weight to the expert report. This had a direct negative impact on the outcome of my appeal, which was ultimately refused.

Because of this situation, I am now facing removal from the UK together with my wife and two minor children. This has caused serious stress and consequences for my family.

In my opinion, this case was not handled with the level of care and professionalism expected, especially given the high fees paid.

I would advise others to carefully consider their options before using this firm. I am not satisfied with the service I received from this firm.

During the preparation of my case, an expert report containing incorrect and unrelated information was submitted to the Tribunal. This issue was identified during the hearing, but it was not properly corrected despite having the opportunity to do so.

As a result, the Tribunal gave limited weight to the evidence, which negatively affected my case outcome.

I also experienced poor communication and lack of clear support during a very stressful time for me and my family.
