I needed legal guidance to set up a company in the UK as a non-resident and had no idea about the local corporate requirements. My experience with this law firm has been deeply disappointing. I paid for a consultation during which the representatives confidently outlined several possible solutions to my situation. All requested information and supporting documents were provided from my side in full and on time.

However, following the consultation, there was a complete lack of further communication. No follow-up, no response to emails, and no clarification of next steps — despite the firm’s initial promises. Such conduct reflects a serious lack of professionalism and respect for clients.

What adds to the disappointment is the fact that both the founders of the firm and I share the same Ukrainian background. It is genuinely disheartening — and frankly, shameful — to witness this level of disregard from those who represent our community. I have since received similar reports from other clients of Sterling Law, many of whom have chosen not to speak publicly about such unprofessional conduct.

I hope this review serves as a reminder that integrity and accountability are the foundation of any legal profession. Sadly, my experience with this firm demonstrated neither.

Negative experience, poor communication and lack of professional judgement

У меня был непростой путь с визой Global Talent. Первоначально обратился к известной консалтинговой компании, но кейс подготовили поверхностно, в результате отказ. Апелляция через них – снова отказ. Вторую подачу делал уже сам, максимально тщательно, но и она завершилась неудачей по формальному пункту. На кону был целый год работы, рисковать больше не хотелось.

По отзывам обратился в Sterling Law напрямую к Руслану. Он очень быстро ответил, все объяснил и подключил команду. Сроки были крайне сжаты, но юристы сработали безупречно. Апелляция получилась сильной: грамотный анализ, ссылки на судебную практику, четкая аргументация. Это было на порядок выше всего, что я видел раньше. Стоимость при этом была вполне разумной, я сравнивал с другими предложениями.

Результат – апелляция одобрена, я получил Endorsement и смог пройти все последующие этапы. На каждом шаге команда Sterling Law оставалась на связи и поддерживала.

Отдельно хочу отметить редкое сочетание профессионализма и человеческой вовлеченности. Не часто встречаешь юристов, которые работают так тщательно и при этом относятся с искренним вниманием к клиенту.

In May 2025, I sought legal support from Sterling & Law Associates LLP. I was advised by Tetiana Deren. She accompanied me in the process of obtaining humanitarian protection from the first consultation until the successful completion of the case. I would like to note the high level of professionalism, the brilliant ability to build an evidence base, select relevant arguments, adjust the process taking into account my individual circumstances. I was especially impressed by the correct and caring communication, the ability to answer any questions, the readiness to constantly support their client. I would like to express my gratitude to the entire team, which carried out all procedural matters clearly and in a timely manner. Special thanks for the help to Daria and Maxim (sorry, I don’t know their last names).

A company of scammer lawyers.
They only communicate with you during the signing of the contract and payment of money. They don’t handle the case — it runs by itself. The documents you provide go missing. A dodgy firm! I don’t recommend them to anyone, stay away.

As a sixth form student, I had the pleasure of getting a work experience placement at Sterling Law. During the week it was a joy to see the collaboration between each member of the team and their efficiency to complete their set tasks. All members were very focused, but also welcoming and friendly ensuring I felt in place. It was interesting to see how the different roles in the firm cooperate in a case and also see their diligence, proven in the successful outcomes for their clients. Their approach to offering legal support is outstanding!

I had instruct the lawyer to helped me prepare for the tier 1 talent visa for a fee.

The application was rejected the first time, and we tried again. The lawyer at the time (Ayat) was lovely to work with despite having lots of delays and involving a lot of chasing and following up.

During this I had suddenly been told out of nowhere that my lawyer has left the firm, and they wanted to transfer my case to another lawyer. However I just didn't think it was worth it to have to explain everything again and go through everything.

Eventually I did everything by myself and got the visa accepted based on what we had previously worked on.

I completed a one-week of work experience at this company, and even in such a short time, I can confidently say that true professionals work there—always ready to support their clients and colleagues. Watching how they consistently go above and beyond to assist in their cases was truly inspiring and has motivated me to become a part of this process in the future. Additionally, I received a thorough briefing and was given tasks related to immigration law, with the team providing helpful explanations and guidance throughout.
This experience has deepened my interest in legal work and confirmed my desire to pursue a career in this field.

Terrible service ,Unprofessional and Unresponsive – Pls Avoid

I paid £350 to Sterling Law for a Section 146 Notice, which was handled by Kuldeep Claire. The service was shockingly poor. He provided a generic template full of errors, clearly not tailored to my case, and admitted it was downloaded online. For that price, I expected a properly drafted legal document, not something I could’ve found myself for a fraction of the cost online.

Kuldeep was very rude, aggressive, dismissive, and made inappropriate comments for me and my family — totally unacceptable and unprofessional. The notice was never sent, and despite contacting the firm many times for my complaint, leaving messages, and asking for a call back, no one ever responded.

None of my complaints to Andrei and senior partner Ruslan Kosarenko, were ever acknowledged, It seems like senior are protecting misconduct rather than resolving client issues which is pathetic.

I’m now taking my complaint to the SAR, Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Legal Ombudsman. Very disappointing experience — I strongly advise others to avoid this firm.
