Good Old Fashioned Service
I recently purchased a new Suite and Dining table from Stevensons, 1st Class Service, David as always goes out of his way to help, all the staff are friendly and welcoming, the delivery drivers very friendly and helpful, all good old fashioned service with no pressure.

Special service
Having spent multiple visits we choose two beds with headboards, Carolyn helped guide us with the style and colours of the headboards and the comfort of the beds.
When it came to the delivery the two guy's were first rate, our house is not a straightforward single flight of stairs so they struggled, they never complained and put everything in the right place, superb service.

I cannot recommend Stevensons enough, Josh explained everything we needed to know about the furniture we were interested in with no sales pressure, the furniture was very well priced and after receiving it we found it to be very well made, the furniture was assembled in our home by Stevensons staff and all packaging taken away, Fantastic service we will be shopping at Stevensons again soon.

I have delt with Stevenson,s for man many years …
I have delt with Stevenson,s for many years, but this time I purchaced 2 mattress,s total price £980, then on top of that l was charged £90 for delivery and disposal of my old mattress,s a total of 1070, yet on your website it stated free delivery. I am very disappointed with Stevenson,s and will not be buying from them ever again.

We would like to clarify the delivery and disposal charges applied to your order, so that other customers are fully aware of how these costs work.
At the time of purchase, our local delivery charge was £30.00. This was outlined in our terms and conditions and clearly shown on your invoice, which was signed to confirm agreement before proceeding. During this period, our website was undergoing updates, and while all of our terms and conditions accurately reflected our pricing, we sincerely apologise for any confusion caused if “free delivery” was briefly displayed. This was an error and not our usual policy.
Regarding mattress disposal, we charge £30.00 per mattress. This service is entirely optional and was explained at the time of ordering, noted on your invoice, and discussed during phone conversations with our manager. As a business, we incur significant costs for mattress disposal, and we offer this as a convenience to help minimise disruption for our customers. We also make sure our customers are aware that local councils may offer collection at a lower charge, though this requires preparation on the customer’s part and may not be convenient. This option was also explained during phone conversations with you.
In total, the £90.00 charge covered:
• £30.00 for a two-person local delivery at a time convenient to the customer, including delivery to the room of choice, unpacking, and disposal of all packaging.
• £60.00 for the disposal of two mattresses, collected at the same time as delivery.
All charges were discussed, agreed, and confirmed prior to delivery. We do not apply fees that have not been approved by our customers.
As a local, family-run business, we strive to provide a reliable, high-quality service while ensuring our team and operations can continue to deliver a 5-star experience in a safe environment. While we understand that additional charges can be frustrating, they reflect the genuine costs involved in providing these services.
We’re sorry that this experience has left you feeling unhappy, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns.
