We placed an order online on 12/31/25. We realized several weeks later that we still had not received it. We inquired with Stijlster and were told that the item had been delivered according to their records. They utilized USPS for delivery and we contacted USPS to have then verify the delivery address. USPS told us that the item was delivered to an address that was in no way close in match to ours, but they could not disclose it due to privacy laws. Stijlster verified that they had our correct address. Somehow the address put on our order was someone elses. Stijlster has refused to ship us a replacement item or to offer us a refund. I guess things must be pretty tight money wise with them to not take care of a customer. Do not order from them!!

I couldn’t wait to get my coat racks. They looked like they were beautiful, handcrafted racks on their website. I was shocked to see the boxes came from China when I received them. The wood grain did not even match the color that was represented on their website. Instead, it was just a reddish brown stained wood. The racks were supposed to be a statement piece on the wall. Instead, they were tiny, unimpressive racks. On their website, it says easy returns. Not so easy. Stay away from this company and their products.

Wish I'd read the reviews before I ordered. What a rip off - company supposedly in the Netherlands but nope, but products made in and shipped from China so took forever to arrive, was much smaller than anticipated and the quality was terrible. Waste of money. After reading other reviews here and their website, I won't even bother trying to return for a refund as you have to send back to China - NO WAY. Disappointed.

I ordered a hanger from this company expecting a straightforward experience, but unfortunately that was not the case.
The product page did not disclose that the item would be shipped from outside the UK. This resulted in unexpected return complications and additional costs. I am happy to pay UK return postage, but I was not informed upfront about international shipping — yet the company now expects me to pay international return fees. This was never made clear at the time of purchase and feels unfair.
Their website claims that refunds are “simple and straightforward,” but that has not been my experience. I have had to contact customer support multiple times to request a refund, despite stating clearly from the very first email that I wanted to return the item and receive a full refund.
To make matters worse, the return process as described online does not match how it actually works in practice. This is misleading and frustrating for customers.
At this time I am still waiting for clear return instructions and confirmation of when the refund will be processed once the item is returned.
Overall, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company — especially if you value transparent returns and reliable customer support.

Avoid purchasing from STIJLSTER! I ordered the Modura coat rack verses going to Amazon since they had a 100% guarantee. That was BS! When the package arrived it appeared to be repackaged. The quality of the craftsmanship was poor and the hooks were very loose and couldn't hold a jacket. When I went to return the product for the refund I was told as a gesture of goodwill, they would refund 20% of the cost and I could keep the product. Then offered a 30% refund. What a joke!! Why would I want to keep this junk and what happened to the 100% guarantee? DON'T BUY FROM STIJLSTER!!!!

Chinese cheapest Stuff. Only one thing is true the coat rack is made of wood, rest is a scam. The hanger is painted with smelly paint, I wonder if the paint meets any standards and regulations at all. The hanger is white but the boards are attached to a brown board, when hung on the wall it looks terrible. The entire hanger needs to be painted white. It's a pity that you can't add photos to show what it really looks like. Coat hanger doesn’t look like as it should in the picture. It is not flat as in the picture, there is an additional board under the hanger. The board sticks out from the wall.Product shipped from China and returns only to a Chinese address. With this policy you may receive a 50% refund if you are lucky.

Avoid this company at all costs. Products are cheap, overpriced and their customer service sucks. Their website claims easy returns… Complete bullshit. They avoid any returns. The process is miserable and four emails into it. I’m not any closer to getting my money back or returning the crappy product that I received.

This is a complete scam. Do not be fooled like me! They do not send items. They simply take you money then keep biding for time saying they are investigating the issue when in actual fact they are doing nothing. Please do not let this happen to you. I am currently going through my bank to get the money back

Bestellung nach 5 Minuten storniert, Customerservice will einen Grund (schon allein dieser Vorgang ist laut EU-Recht unzulässig). Grund genannt, ein Tag später Versandbestätigung. Customerservice schreibt dass man leider nicht mehr stornieren könne, da der Auftrag schon versandt wurde. Anzeige wegen Betrugs wurde erstattet, Bezahlung beim Kreditkartenanbieter storniert. Wird Zeit der Firma das Handwerk zu legen!

This is a complete scam of a company. I should have realized as soon as I saw the shipping notification coming from China. This is NOT a Dutch Company. I ordered an egg maker that I saw on social media. As soon as I saw the instructions included I knew this was from China. The directions were written in a way that you could tell wasn't a full understanding of English.

They include a little plastic cup for water. On the side are little notches showing milliliters. Most egg makers I now have seen show exactly how much water to put in the machine based on softness usually three different levels for soft, medium, hard with those directions included. They make no mention of any of this on the container or in the directions. Only after 4 or 5 emails to the company did someone named "Lisa" respond to write the exact same amount of water, "17mm" for each level.

I put everything back in the packaging as was shipped without using it and asked for a full refund as their website indicates they will offer within 30 days. After 3 or so emails still trying to find out how they could help me figure things out and not addressing a refund, they have now stopped responding.

This is a COMPLETE SCAM of a company. DO NOT send them your money.

They continue to write back emails avoiding a refund. I have not used this product and have asked for a full refund. Each time they write back something different. Here is their latest:

Ich bin sehr enttäuscht von meinem Einkauf bei Stijlster. Das gelieferte Produkt wies sichtbare Schäden auf und entsprach überhaupt nicht meinen Erwartungen. Ich habe mich direkt an den Kundenservice gewandt, Fotos der Mängel geschickt und um Rückgabe gebeten.
Trotzdem wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass eine Rücknahme nicht möglich sei – stattdessen sollte ich lediglich 30 % des Kaufpreises erstattet bekommen. Das ist absolut inakzeptabel, insbesondere da der Kauf online erfolgte und mir laut geltendem Widerrufsrecht eine vollständige Rückerstattung zusteht.

Ein solches Vorgehen ist weder kundenfreundlich noch fair. Ich rate dringend, vor einem Kauf bei Stijlster vorsichtig zu sein.

Ich kann den Anbieter nicht empfehlen.
Webseiten-Darstellung und Artikel im Original stimmen nicht überein. Die Qualität ist schlecht. Rücksendung nur möglich , wenn man auf eigene Kosten den Rückversand mit Tracking-Nummer nach China trägt. Eine Frechheit, weil nirgendwo erkennbar ist, dass man Ware aus China erhält.
Auf der Webseite wird mit einfacher Rücksendung geworben.
Anbieter bietet Billigware für großes Geld an.

Bin ebenfalls drauf reingefallen, China Ware, was man auch sieht wenn man es in den Händen hält, sehr Minderwertiges Produkt, ich habe es gekauft und bin total unzufrieden.
90 Euro zum Fenster rausgeworfen und von wegen Einfache Rückgabe. Verstehe nicht warum keiner was dagegen un kann.

Please do not buy from these people - it is a complete scam - very poor quality products from China - they say it’s easy to get a refund but it’s not ! By the time they deduct shipping cost to return you get little or no refund. DO NOT BE FOOLED - this is not a Dutch company - products are not as advertised- they are cheap inferior Chinese knock offs - do not waste your money

Clever website that fools you into thinking it’s a quality company… just a Chinese front! Ordered two products weeks ago and both somewhere in China still. Doubt they will turn up and be any good. DO NOT USE

As shown in the add, it would arrive with 4 extra items. It arrived after almost 8 weeks, with a electric cord of 45 cm!! ( never had that experience, and no extra items . When I mentioned that in my 4th mail, ( they didn’t reply) it was a so cold upgrade from the one on the advisement.

Massively overpriced as the website does a good job of uploading photos that hide the ugly metal strip that runs through the middle. When delivered the box says “made in china” and you can tell by the quality it has. I still think it looks great on the wall with an arty vibe but if I had seen the quality before hand I would have never paid the price, even their “sale” price. Way too expensive. I recommend customers keep shopping around for a similar item elsewhere more reasonably priced

Why did I not check the reviews....didn't even realise it was from Chine. Order 3 items, not cheap, they haven't arrived after 3 weeks. Looks like , by reading reviews the wooden item is not wood !
