Best 28mm ww2 models and ww2 mini game bolt action

Buying a Konflict 47 Mystery Box was always going to be a big gamble. I knew that with an Axis, USA and newly-bought Commonwealth Army and I was convinced I was either going to get one of those or, my worst fears: the Japanese!
Still, the price was too good to miss, and even if it included doublers of what I already had, I decided to plunge into the lottery.
Imagine my nervousness when Zurmcentral on Youtube opened his Mystery Box just as mine was delivered! His box was Japanese, but I was relieved when I saw the handwritten Soviet 2 on the side of the box.
When I looked inside, what can I say? It was amazing.
The box contained:
One pack of 10 metal Mark I Power Armour.
One pack of 8 metal Mark II Power Armour.
One pack of 3 metal Ursus with Mauls.
One resin Molot.
One Bolt Action KV1/2
In my opinion, this was a great haul. I swooped onto the Army App and I could just about make a full 1500point army without padding anything and if I dodn't take all the Gucci options I could easily afford an M3 Scout Car and an M3 Halftrack as transports (I have some faction agnostic transports already).
What really impressed me was the thought that had gone into the selection: A solid core of advancing units with the Power Armour troops, a swift outflanker in the Ursus and armour back-up from a Walker Platoon. It's a straightforward army to play and should do solidly in my local meta.
With a few tweaks and leaving out the Ursus, I could easily customise it to my favoured play style, but the Ursus look so good I will definitely spend a few games trying to make them work for me.
Thinking about how some people may criticise the box... No doubt some people will say it's a way for Warlord to clear out its old metal and resin stock, and everything except the KV-1 was from the old run, but if you do think that, bear this in mind: I paid £125 for the box and when I totalled the value up it came in at just shy of £220!
Frankly, if Warlord want to dump these great (albeit old) sculpts on me at a near half-price, I'd say, "Dump Away!".
So to conclude, thank you Warlord for a well-thought-out army with excellent sculpts and an amazing example of value for money. An army I'd happily take to a tournament for £125. That's what I call value.
