I’ve been a part of Storython since October 2023. According to me the most unique aspect of this course and the Storython community is -- Mindset Mastery – this is the foundation of Storython. The Personal Codex that we created for ourselves with our mentor Ankit Sir’s guidance gives us a sense of purpose and constantly offers us a direction as to where we should be headed to. It is the best guide to begin our journey with. It gives us the confidence that no matter how daunting the journey looks like, we can still achieve our goals if we have the right mindset and an actionable plan towards it.

Now talking about the writing part -- journaling my thoughts and translating my own personal experiences into interesting story ideas has been an amazing experience, along with a bouquet of other techniques that help me write and improve my script. Each tool and technique that we’ve learnt in Storython is an invaluable lesson in the craft of screenwriting.

Finally, being a part of the Storython community fills me with hope, happiness and fulfillment. It is the constant motivation and guidance from Ankit Sir, and interaction & feedback from our fellow members that I admire a lot and keep looking forward to. Our Inner Circle sessions have been so empowering, not just towards screenwriting, but also towards our overall mindset development. This is the real joy of being in a community like Storython!

I joined Storython as a Silver member and found it extremely rewarding. Understanding the entire system of writing in the film, Television Industry and OTT was a big gain for me. This facilitates a novice's entry into the industry. We were also instructed about how not to get exploited as freshers in the industry. The content was too extensive covering all the aspects of script writing. We were also provided opportunities to apply whatever we learnt through writing our own scripts and narrating among the fellow writers to get constructive feedback. Under the guidance of Ankit Sir, I also became a member of SWA and registered synopses of 3 stories. I recommend joining Storython to anyone who aspires to become a Script writer.

If you want to waste your time figuring everything out alone, you're welcome to stay stuck in the learning loop.
But if you’re serious, find a good mentor.

When desperately looking for scriptwriting books or online courses, I stumbled upon STORYTHON. I attended a free ‘Super Writer Masterclass’ and was immediately hooked.
I realised the mentor, Ankit Kothari, is not only knowledgable but also passionate about writing and more importantly equally passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience. Having won a National award for his short film ‘Paanchika’, he always gives reliable and genuine inputs.
Silver membership is a foundation course where the basic techniques are introduced in a systematic manner with the help of mind-maps.The course is structured in such a way that takes you step by step right from journalising your lived experiences or inspirations from the outside world and slowly developing them into themes. Themes are further developed into loglines, identifying the protagonist, antagonist, secondary characters and wants & needs of the characters.
This seemingly daunting process is made easy with the help of worksheets which are provided at the end of each session. These worksheets have proven immensely useful for me while writing my scripts or even analysing films/ scripts created by others.
One thing that makes this course shine as compared to other courses is the emphasis on developing the correct mindset. Writing techniques can be found anywhere, that too for free, but without the right mindset, gathering information just becomes an intellectual activity without any actionable roadmap and no tangible outcome.
Ankit shared techniques like SAVERS, Affirmations, Personal codex etc which helps us train our mind to commit and be focused on this journey as a script writer. He impels us to narrate our stories no matter at what stage, within the writers’ community which gives us great confidence to face potential directors/ producers or investors. Genuine feedback from fellow writers helps us to improve our craft on daily basis and be accountable.
For me personally, a mixture of affirmations, intentional effort and disciplined writing has gotten me opportunities to pitch my concepts to production houses, which otherwise would have been lying in my drawer eating dust for don’t know how many years!

I joined Storython in August 2024 and through Ankit Sir's weekly live sessions, the techniques learnt, and mindset-building habits, I have been able to draft several feature-film story ideas (one, three and ten pagers) across multiple genres in a span of 6-8 months or so. So, my feedback is straight out of the outputs I could achieve. But it's not just about the outputs. It has been a consistent experience of self-discovery - I didn't know journaling for example, would go such a long way to generate ideas (something Ankit Sir always emphasizes). I didn't know 'SAVERS' or Silence-Affirmation-Visualisation-Exercise-Reading-Scribbling was such a cool way of approaching our daily routine, to write productively. And I didn't know I would navigate through three different genres (biopic, romantic comedy and psychological thriller) to finally commit to a screenplay drafting process, which will generate a finished bound script! Clearly there were no processes in 2023 or earlier to make it happen, and the proof lies in the pudding. I had been keen to start my career in writing but in vain, knew nothing about it, had no one to guide me, but wanted to do it.
One such morning I found a course on novel writing, desperate to join, I enrolled and paid. It was nice but advanced course where only a senior school teacher just tells you just the theory, which didn't helped me much.

A few days in the course Ankit sir popped on my Instagram and I was totally in line with his teachings and frequency. But I found out that he wasn't taking any new batches then. A few days later another miracle happened and he held a masterclass, being from sales I already knew it was an opportunity to join his community and course, which would definitely be pitched towards the end and I was eager to join the same. I began the session with curiosity and found his teaching style totally aligned to me. He is an online mentor but his sessions are active and live (literally has life). He is a strict teacher with a smile on the face (deadly combo like in primary school, isn't it).

He starts from pre school where you learn going to school, moves to nursery where you learn alphabets, gradually to primary where you learn basic fundamentals, then secondary where you learn to apply fundamentals, after that you move to high school where you have your friends/ classmates you do activities in group and master the application of fundamentals taught, later you may enroll for college/ masters where you learn the skills and make it a craft for the life ahead.

In this journey under Ankit sir's mentorship we are provided resources to become a true character of writer.
For an artist to play a character one provides him dialogues / script ( that's just theory part of it, like fundamentals and knowledge about tools and techniques), but then he is provided with costume, make up, hair and all other touch ups. So, in this course we are being provided a full package of all of the above, hence, become a full proof one. And if still we couldn't, then atleast we would mimic to be one, to be able to fake it till we make it.
I am truly grateful to be able to come across Ankit sir and in a short span being his student and being a part of his journey. It's all about the vibes, we are all vibrating collectively on the same frequency, hence, we are here. Happy learning.

Most important is that he believes in learning with fun like we did in school, so it's not burdensome.

I am writing this review already 36 days in the journey, and do consider my teaching, sales and street smart skills, honestly just join Ankit sir whenever and however you get a chance. He will provide you more worth than your paid pennies.

The course was a good introduction to script writing especially for someone like me from a non writing, non arts background but I skipped the second day with the understanding that the recording will be available on the app but only the first day was available which I think was not fair. It should be available at least for the day so that one can watch if one could attend due to some reason. My money essentially got wasted since I couldn't even see the videos. I'm only giving 3 stars because the course wasn't bad as such but this has to change.

The program was really good and helpful too.
