My book was delivered on time and undamaged

On their website there is a Castle class 4-6-0 book [1923 - 1959] by David Maidment [his FIRST] advertised as a companion to his SECOND book. David's SECOND book [mentioned underneath a brief description of the FIRST] WAS at £30 but on offer at a 50% discount price of £14-95. This is VERY CLEAR but Strathwood try to wriggle around this by saying that it's £40. IF they are not offering David'sFIRST book at discounted price then the wording DOES NOT REFLECT this!
Not long after sending this review, I rechecked their website and found that they had removed the wordng which I questioned - crafty!!

The owner of Strathwood books is extremely rude if a query is made about postage times. He twists things and writes reams of abusive waffle.
I have been accused of causing trouble by forwarding my experience to others.
A company to be avoided at all cost!!!

Had an issue with a book being omitted from an order, has gone on a while, however Kevin personally rang me to sort it out and organised another copy to be sent ASAP, encouraging to receive good service, I am a loyal customer to this company and will continue to be so as great website, great offers and books always well packed. So well done Kevin and Strathwood, problem solved and confidence remains intact. I would urge anyone to go to Strathwood for the best in Railway, Bus and Transport titles.

An excellent personal service, a great product and very genuine sellers, always happy to please the customer. In addition they also have some great offers and gifts, so always worth check the website.

I received a faulty book that I told them about on 9th December, finally got a PARTIAL refund on 21st January! I used their nominated carrier to return the book, which was free of charge for me. But the refund has been reduced by £4.95, so they have taken THEIR costs out of MY pocket
Two months later, no response from Strathwood. I would suggest you try get your books elsewhere. The faulty book I returned to Strathwood was replaced for me direct from the publishers Pen and Sword, cheaper and by first class post - free of charge! A lesson for all concerned!

Ordered a book from this company and paid for next day delivery. Book was despatched late, so I requested, via email, a partial refund of the delivery charge, but have not received a reply. Will not order from this company in future.
