Signed up to Fly Fishing Masterclass and they take £19.99 from your account every month. Even my bank could not find out who the payment goes to - described on statement as 'Digital Services'. Not sure how they do this but so far I've paid £180 for a video which I'm sure I bought as a one off for £25. Rip off - Avoid!

Must be the worst fly line I’ve ever had , the welded loops fell apart after a month and within three months the line was full of cracks and started sinking ! I won’t be buying this rubbish again , I’ve had a fly line on one reel for 10 years ands it’s better than this !! Very disappointed.

Bought an overhang marker 5# floating line, the welded loop fell apart after only 4 months. Despite the alleged 12 month warranty, I was told the loop is just a bonus and they tried to sell me braided loops.
Shockingly poor customer service.

Unfortunately the quality of the products are not good and the aftersales service even worse.
Had the epoxy on my 6 weight glass fiber rod crack after using it twice. Impossible to get a refund from Sunray. They did offer a credit note that serves me no purpose since I was looking for a glass rod.
In their own words:
The California fibre glass rod is very flexible and it’’s normal to see cosmetic marks in the varnish as it bends. This will not affect the performance in any way.

One of these blemishes was a proper crack and no, this is not normal….
I can’t imagine what the lighter line glass rods which are more flexible will look like after a month if their statement is true.

Their lines don’t last long before cracking either….some in less than a month and they definitely don’t last a season .(apparently it’s normal for lines to crack as well 😂)I’ve owned 2 short heads, a competition and fast sinking line in #8 and #9 . Don’t count on the so-called guarantees….they don’t honor them.

Ordered a floating fly line which arrived nightmare trying to put it on reel that was using a line stretcher came off like a bedspring decided to try and stretch it by hand to remove memory made it worse so binned it didnt get one cast out of it £40 + wasted

I’ve been using Sunray Rods and Lines for about 6 yrs now, always great products and services.

Beware the "One day free trial pay nothing casting masterclass offer". If you decide not to proceed beyond the free one day, they still take your money and then don't reply to email requests for refunds. Good luck if you try to contact them by telephone, you just get a recorded message giving their email address. They've definitely lost my trust and I certainly won't be dealing with them again.

Still haven't received what I ordered and it's been almost a month! When I finally got a reply from there customer services they tried to coerce me into cancelling the resolution I had started with PayPal by threatening to offer zero help unless I cancelled it! I will be telling anyone who mentions sunray not to bother!

I opted for the competition floater with the overhang marker, Fairly prompt delivery and this line (if you have a decent cast and a good bit of back clearance) flies like an absolute howitzer, if you bank fish concrete bowls or reservoirs the line is an absolute game changer and immensely underrated for the price.

Lacking brexit toll info.. ended up being a very expensive line.. really hope it’s worth it, when I get to use it.. but really wish there would have been more info about toll..

Floating line lol. Its sinks and cracks just after a month. Terrible customer service, when you finally get through, he just shouts, swears and you get nowhere.

AVOID and go to a trusted and popular brand.

WF 7 Floating Line.
Absolute waste of money. Its a struggle to get the head thro the rings by false casting due to the long front taper which makes it useless for short range fishing and once its on the water it does not lie straight. I e-mail sunray on 27-04-2022 to complain and have not received a response.

In the bin after first use…I have nothing good to say about the line…loop broke, horrible to cast (FYI I have fly fished for 30yrs+ Single and Spey) and floating line sinks. Cheaply made in some garage in china…what a waste of money.

Absolutely crap got a 7wt turns out it's and 8wt floating line, tip is sinking all the time now and that's with not even a months worth of use. Avoid at all costs.

Comp floating line developed thousands of cracks over a few months of moderate use and careful line maintenance. Contacted customer service who only said line was out of warranty; no interest in what may have caused the problem.

Had problem with fly line sent flyline sent back Wednesday 1st December replacement line arrived Saturday 4th December no hassle brilliant service 10 out ten best line I have bought lies straight can cast further than any line I have used in last 50 year fly fishing

The floating li e with over head marker started off great but quickly deterred starting to crack and sink at the white marker within less that 20 sessions .Wouldnt buy another or recomend it to anyone

Very suspect in multiple ways, bad experience with product.

Bought a fly-line for 5wt rod. It weighs 17g at 36'. It is a ridiculous weight at that class, horrible to cast. See below for details.

1. There are few independent reviews on their products online.
2. There are hundreds upon hundreds of favourable 5/5 reviews on their products on their own platform. This doesn't instil confidence, looks rather suspicious.
3. There are posts on their website that demean competition (e.g. quite famous and highly regarded Rio) *. And hailing own products. Suspicious.
4. Sent an email enquiry to them. Received no reply to email. Not even the normal automatic confirmation of received inquiry. Not having such basics in place is unprofessional.

Fly line details:
Bought sunray SSI #5. It weighs 17g at 36'.
All the other single handed 5wt lines weigh 9-12g at 30-36'. Rio Grand is full line size heavier! It weighs 12.6g at 37'.

17g is a completely ridiculous number. It weighs like a 7wt rio grand (remember, full line size heavier) fly line. It is horrible to cast on a 5wt rod, horrible. It is very suspicious to not see any mention of unusually high weight in the reviews on the site.

Buy wisely buy ONCE! I have now a number of quality Fly Fishing products from Sunray!
With the correct Fly, Leader and Tippet fly fishing is now a pure Joy!. catch returns are higher, landing more fish! I all of which is down to the right tackle and advice from Tom thank you team Sunrayfly! products that work time after time.
you just cannot buy better top quality gear at affordable prices. Note: Buy Wisely buy ONCE.

Good product. Unfortunately lacking information on BREXIT tolls. Ended out being some very expensive kit. Deletes posts on social media when confronted.
