Asked for Another £2k when picking my bike up.
Found a bike at Macclesfield venue. Agreed a part ex price. Plenty of updates regarding the Speedmaster but no other documentation.
Told me my 14 plate Triumph Tiger has fork seal leak after vigorously and excessively bouncing the front of the bike up and down. Then said my engine may have a problem. It's only done 8K. Then asked for another 2k after I'd already paid them £3k. Effectively wanting £9k for a bike worth £6.5 k. I'll be contacting trading standards.

The gentleman who collected the bike was friendly and knew what he was doing. The handover didn’t take very long at all.

Where do you start? Firstly, the bike I purchased from Crawley site was poorly. Poorly to the point of feeling unsafe and dangerous. So I visited Macclesfield showroom and dropped the bike as a refusal. The bike was listened too and looked at and confirmed as not fit for purchase.
The question is why or how did it get through PDI at Crawley??.
However, Andy and Sammi Jordan were exceptional in there response to the situation. I got to choose a new bike and had everything unwound financially. The process the started again. The communication was first class and the staff were great .Upon reviewing the bike at collection the member of the team (Andy) noticed a rear tyre issue and simply changed the rubber there and then.
The Crawley team were also very good and communication was excellent, it was just a shame that the bikes condition wasn’t pulled up.
I’ve had 7 bikes to date from SBF Macclesfield and now I look forward to riding the next couple of seasons on my new Z900RS and also look forward to dealing with Sammi and Andy again.

Secured a 2023 model xsr125. Received a call promptly and was upsold a tracker. Paid the deposit and tracker payments with my credit card. All good. However, when it came to paying the balance I was told that I would have to make the 84 mile round trip to make payment in person as they don’t take credit card online or over the phone (even though they already had done for the deposit and extras). Called twice and spent an hour on hold to be told again to make the trip in person (as well as paying £199 for delivery). I crunched the numbers after the call and the bike, tracker and delivery came to a total of £4688 in the end. BRAND NEW 2026 model sxr125’s are being sold at official Yamaha dealers for £4949 with trackers and home delivery included, just a £261 difference and they take credit card payments without fuss. Needless to say, I cancelled my order. Getting my refund was also made unnecessarily difficult as they process them manually and require sort codes and account numbers which credit cards don’t have. Time will tell if this actually gets sorted. If you want to pay brand new prices for used bikes just make sure you’re either fronting the full amount by debit card or taking out their high interest finance agreement or they’ll completely waste your time.

I had been researching a new bike for a long time. Finally found one I liked and fitted my budget and criteria at the superbike factory. I sent an enquiry form and was contacted by Hayden, he answered all questions I had about the bike. Hayden was really helpful and made sure I got a deal which worked for both of us. There was no pressure sales and when I said no to something ie: paint protection, there was no further conversation about it which I really appreciated.
The whole process has been very easy and enjoyable, I’m now looking forward to receiving my new wheels. Cheers Hayden would definitely recommend.

Customer service non-existant
Bought a bike from SBF and had a tracker installed at additional cost, wasn't long before started having problems. Contacted the tracking company who sent out engineers, when they arrived they immediately recognised an install by SBF. Told me they couldn't fix it and I'd have to go back to SBF to get it fixed.
Constantly emailed with no replies, rang multiple times and either no one picked up, or on the very rare occasion they did, I was hung up on..
This has been ongoing for months and just not getting anywhere with them.
Absolutely fuming.

easiest thing I have ever done
Happy with this Bike dealership, I literally decided to buy a new bike at 3 pm last Saturday and It was ready within a few days. Had it delivered the following Saturday at 07:30 am no hassle no issues and it arrived in perfect condition. Would defiantly recommend.

Worst experience ive ever had buying a…
Worst experience ive ever had buying a bike. Bought a broken bike. They said they would fix it, they took it from me and 6 weeks later it was clear they never planned on fixing it, just wait me out so i got annoyed and rerurned. Communication once you buy from them is terrible, all good on the sale then it goes dark. Ive had to rent another mode of transport for over 6 weeks with no offer of anything. They sell faulty bikes.
Edit: i am currently in a claim with Superbike. They sold me a faulty bike, (pertrol leaking feom the engine) i asked foe a refund, they said no. They are going to fix it, they had the bike a further 31 days after me asking for a refund, they finally came back and said they could not fix it. While i was having to pay transportation, insurance, tax, etc thinking they were going to fix it, alas they dis not fix it. They have paid me 80% of my deposit and are fighting the rest. A claim is in motion. Just for anyone that thinks this reply has had any good news to me.

This is becoming a pain in the ass
Guys we have an update don't you worry it's me! Just in case you missed me the owner, well can I consider myself the owner of the cb125r I mean it's a ghost bike now. It was supposedly back at Macclesfield today but took a lil field trip to donington a whole 61 miles away from Macclesfield so a lil confused as to how that happened. I asked why and it was like a computer breaking "errrrrrrrrrrrr um er" so there's that got told we should have it on our drive in two weeks I think not, sorry I meant I politely decline that offer and are giving till this Saturday as that's three weeks since purchase and it's ridiculous. We've received no proof of recall work on it so it's either that or they can shove it where it don't shine I mean its England so anywhere and we're still yet to get a phone call from lil James I decided it is a fitting nickname too scared to speak to us or the managers even though we're at Macclesfield which is the headquarters location so this is just ridiculous no communication no reasoning no proof or professionalism in this "sale" all we get is told "we'll give a call back" honestly guys you're funny I'll give you that such lil jokers I keep falling for it I gotta learn by now it means naff all

Delivery and appraisal driver, Jordan was a top bloke, thorough and fair assessing my trade in, easy to talk to and bang on time, everything was quick and simple from the office, being able to check on the new bike during its pre delivery prep was a nice touch … definitely will use them again in the future

Awful
Awful - A Kawasaki z650R came on the site stating it had approx 2000 miles on the clock and would be in the Macclesfield showroom . I called to enquire as the price seemed very fair there were no photos up so chased a couple of times for some so I could pay a deposit and hopefully purchase the bike . Had promises over a couple of days regarding the photos but received none . Then the mileage on this bike went up to over 3k and the bike was now in Crawley showroom ? No return call whatsoever from a salesperson called Liam . I have today spent just over 8k on a fantastic bike from a company who treated myself like a customer and followed up any queries I had in a professional manner .
Shame on you Bike factory and Liam very unprofessional you have lost a customer and a few more with my connections .
No doubt I will get the standard response as does any other dissatisfied customer with the Superbikes factory .

A sales agreement, started in good faith at the Macclesfield branch, has left me feeling infuriated and with no confidence in your company.
I ordered a Triumph Trident 660 on the 30th April 2026 and paid £299. This was a deposit plus the cost of the A2 limiter which I knew would be done at Triumph. I was quoted three weeks for this.
With this in mind, I arranged and began to pay insurance to proceed from week 4 to allow a one week grace period.
I rang after 3 weeks and was told there was a delay and it would probably be ready on week 4. I rang after 4 weeks and was told in spite of the previous conversation it was still at the Triumph workshop.
I was told that it would be chased and I would be kept updated, even if there was no progress so I was kept in the loop. Again I was let down and I was not updated with any calls or emails.
At week 5, on Wednesday 3rd June, I rang and spoke to the salesman that originally sold me the bike, Dylan Mcmullen, at Macclesfield. He agreed that the delay was unacceptable and promised to find out what was happening and call me back in 30 minutes. I am disappointed to say he did not call me back.
My frustration was so great, I spoke with a work colleague and because of her greater customer service experience she rang on my behalf on Friday 5th June to see what was happening.
My colleague rang your company 4 times, each time speaking to someone new. Her call was answered after a minimum 30 minute delay, she explained the situation and what had so far been said and was put on hold. After a while of being on hold, the call was cut off. This happened twice wasting over an hour of our time. My colleague rang a third time and spoke to Joshua at Castle Donnington. Once again she explained the situation and he told her that he would call back at 2pm. No call came.
Finally, she rang again and waited for the call to be answered. This time speaking to Thomas Kemp. He asked for us to send an email to which we did. He did not reply. At this point we had spent over 3 hours trying to get a basic level of customer support from your organization and you failed even to respond beyond a simple phone call or email.
Having lost all confidence in SBF customer phone service, I drove to the Macclesfield branch (an hour from my house) to get some idea of when I could expect the bike, this was June 8th. I spoke to Alex Hulme who spoke to management and agreed to refund me for the restrictor kit (£199).
Alex assured me the bike would be ready on Wednesday 10th or Thursday 11th and that he would most definitely be in touch. Incredibly Alex did not contact me. I drove in again on Thursday 11th June to collect the bike trusting Alex’s word that the bike would be ready. The bike was not ready.
I spoke to sales manager Andrew Hellyer, who told me the bike would be ready for collection Sunday 14th June.
So finally, on the Sunday I drove to SBF to collect.
I paid the full amount of £4591 and £68.75 road tax. I drove the bike away feeling relieved it was over.
I drove around for about 40 minutes to get used to the bike before heading home. After 20 minutes the bike became erratic and dangerous, delivering unpredictable power bursts past around 3k rpm. This became worse and after 40 minutes it was un-rideable. I parked, but now after starting it, the engine would stall after just a few seconds.
As I’m sure you can understand at this point I was beyond frustrated and had to leave the bike on the side of the road whilst I drove back to SBF in my partners car to hand back the keys and ask for a full refund.
In summary
-To date I have wasted £74.78 on insurance, I am awaiting an update on the cancellation fees/refund.
-15 plus hours wasted on the phone/ on hold to your company.
-4 plus hours at your premises and with the faulty bike
-A cancelled trip with friends
-8 plus total hours wasted driving to and from SBF.
All of the above despite your hugely publicized “120 quality checks” on a bike which doesn’t even run for longer than 40 minutes.
In spite of the countless conversations with your sales teams and this appalling experience, as of today (Monday 15th June) I have had no contact with apologies or any attempts to alleviate my distress with your organization.
I would not recommend this company.
