The two stars are for a lack of backup…
The two stars are for a lack of backup parts, the parasol was until the breakage very good and I was very happy with it.
Regarding the speed of phone answering, I struck lucky and had a pick up within the first ring or two which was answered by a pleasant and curtious member of staff.
I purchased the parasol maybe a couple of years ago, which until yesterday gave me good service and no cause for concern, but when I went out into the garden yesterday morning the release button for the tilt had snapped and flown into the flower bed, leaving the parasol tilted at 90 degrees.
This morning I phone Supremo to ask if this tiny part was available to purchase only to be told this piece was not available. I was informed that they could not help me apart from advising me to try to find a damaged in a different way parasol myself at any non specific garden centre to try to retrieve my broken catch.
Therefore a not unexpensive parasol is destined for landfill for what could have been a £2 tops part, what ever happened to being able to mend anything these days?
I am going to guess this is not the first time this delicate part has failed on numerous other parasols.
Very disappointed.
