I contacted Surrey Glazing and spoke to Barry about repairing the locking gearbox on my 20-year-old window. The part is very difficult to find as it’s no longer in circulation, but Barry kept true to his word and assured me it would be sorted.

He sent one of his team, Darren, who was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and a credit to the company. He repaired the window efficiently and to a very high standard.

The whole job was completed professionally and at a very competitive price. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received.

I would 100% recommend Surrey Glazing to anyone looking for honest, reliable, and professional service. Five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the rudest person I have met I feel sorry for the people that have to work with him. Must be the boss as his number is on the van. Not sure how this company gets work if that is how he talks to people. Shocking behaviour

Just had an encounter on the road with a male driver. He came right up behind me and then, as he past, gave me an extremely offensive hand gesture. Extremely unnecessary. If they behave like this, it doesn’t say much about the company. I can see that it happened to someone else here.

This man almost took my car out today. He was extremely rude when I called to ask why he was dangerously driving. Shocking behaviour when representing his company on the roads. Terrible if I could rate no stars I would!!!

Barry the owner is a bully and uses intimidation and belittles you because you are “one of hundreds of customers” and “not worth his time”.

Installed replacement glazing poorly and messed up my hinges. Have since had professionals round to fix their mess at extensive cost to myself.

We had an imploded window and needed the broken pane removed and made safe.
They came out and did a horrendous job - they left site with glass still all over the floor and massive shards still in the frame.
They covered them with tape and charged us £700 for one of the worst jobs I've ever seen in all my years of managing buildings.
My team tried to complain to them and who in turn verbally abused our team member and called him a "stupid p**ck" and refused to accept responsibility.
They were not big enough to talk to me however and simply dodged all attempts at any kind of professional communication.
Avoid these clowns - no idea what they are doing, safety is not important to them and customer service is non existent.
Additionally - have since sent threatening emails due to this review.

We wanted a replacement pane of leaded glass for a bedroom window. A man came to measure up. A different man came a week later hung around making loud phone calls and I left to go to an appointment only for my wife to say on my return that the man said the measurements made by his colleague were wrong and that they would be in touch. We have tried calling several times either for the work to be completed or for the deposit to be returned. No reply. Disgraceful behaviour. The invoice number is 11171

Driver from this company drove past me as I was cycling at the speed limit, with the driver well over the speed limit. Called me a ‘w&nker’ as he drove past, and then a ‘di3khead’ as I cycled past him when he promptly got stuck in traffic. Proceeded to make a rude hand gesture at me as he drove off

A GREAT company to do business with.From start to finish....the quote, the measuring, and the fitting, was all carried out to my liking.Geoff was very quick, and clean and tidy, and did a great job.Barry kept me informed on dates/times etc to my liking, and I would not hesitate to use this firm to anyone who needs anything window related.(I had five double glazed windows changed, because of condensation within the panes)......Good Firm,Good Price......recommend, highly......

I had a large item of glass replaced on a patio, first time the glass was scratched and they then damaged the wood door frame and on the second Visit they damaged the door handle. Stay away from this company

Amazing service, called and they were found within a few hours. Couldn’t recommend more and will defiantly use again.

Wonderful experience. Very professional and top notch service. We have been trying to put in glazing bars in our windows and tried several companies (including the one that had installed our windows in the first place!) over the last 6 months, with no success.

I reached out to Surrey Glazing (Barry) 2 weeks ago, he came to do a survey next day and knew straight away exactly what we were looking for. Gave us a competitive quote on the same day and windows were installed a week later, and they look great! We couldn’t be happier.

Barry and his staff were very helpful and responsive to fix our tilt and turn window. A few other window companies came and had a look, but none of them were really able and happy to fix the problem. In fact one of them made it worse. From first call to fix it only took less than 3 weeks. As soon as the parts came in, the engineer came in the next day.

I am a resident in an apartment block in Kingston. A Surrey Glazing van was this morning parked in a resident loading bay outside my building, preventing me from accessing my boot and moving my car, which was parked in front of the van. A Surrey Glazing employee was sat in the van so I politely asked him if he could move back a couple of feet. He looked at me quizzically (I think he thought I had enough room to get the car out, but didn't realise I also needed to access my boot), so he sat in the van using/watching his phone and didn't move it. After 20 seconds I asked again, this time I mentioned that I needed to open my boot. He responded abruptly saying he would move the van "in a minute", and then continued watching his phone. After another 20-30 seconds I asked again and also mentioned I also had a train to catch so would appreciate it if he moved right away. He reluctantly turned on his engine, but then sat in the van, continuing to watch his phone. After yet another 20 or so seconds I knocked on the window and asked again, pointing out that I have asked several times now and also that we were in a hurry. At this point he became extremely aggressive and started using foul, threatening and abusive behaviour. I genuinely thought he was going to get physical. A friend was with me and she was extremely upset by his aggressive behaviour. He then refused to move the van and said he wouldn't move until I "asked again politely". I pointed out that I already had asked several times and each time politely. But I asked again, adding another "please" since we really needed to get moving. He eventually moved the van, but only when the building concierge started to walk over to see what was happening.
Whilst I am not technically a customer, I am leaving this review since I think the Surrey Glazing employee behaved in a completely unnecessary, violent and unprofessional manner.
I think his employer and also potential customers should know about it. I have spoken to the building management agency and they agreed they won't be using Surrey Glazing for any contractor work again.
This person clearly has anger management issues.
Thankfully we made our train, just.

Update 13/10/20 following Surrey Glazing's reply:

1) My car was parked in a marked 'Residents Loading Bay'. Your van was parked in the bay blocking access to my rear boot and preventing me from leaving.
2) You were not unloading glass. You were sat in the driver seat watching something on your phone.
3) I asked you politely to move your van a couple of feet. For reasons unknown you decided to ignore this request several times and continued to watch your phone. Two other people observed this, including the building concierge.
4) You know my name because you recently requested my details via TrustPilot, which I provided. I had hoped you requested the details so we could have a grown-up conversation about that morning. I guess that was too much to expect. Your choice of name for me is interesting though. I think it shows the level of maturity and intelligence you possess, i.e. that of an 8 year old schoolboy. When combined with your short-fuse and aggressive manner, it also suggests you are definitely compensating for something...
5) Any credible law firm would advise you that you don't have a legal leg to stand on. My advice to you is to instead invest the money in some much needed PR consultancy and customer services training.
6) Finally, thanks for letting me know you no longer use TrustPilot. I'll have a search on the other trade review sites for Surrey Glazing, so I can upload my review to those sites also.

Really pleased with the work and the amount of time it took to get the new glass pane for the cat flap.
Our quote was not the cheapest we had (wasn’t far off though) but Barry was able to do the work the quickest. From contact to installation it took a week. Other companies quoted 4 weeks. Excellent, thank you.

Replacement of some some special double glazing after an accident

Barry and Craig did an excellent job installing a new double glazed panel on my patio doors that needed replacing. The quote I received was also one of the cheapest and the whole process was very easy.

Barry was 1st class. Good work, nice guy, on time and clean and tidy! Would recommend to anyone! Busy chaps are the best, speaks for itself really. 10/10.
