Holes bay table table sucks
Absolutely horrendous we waited over 1 hr just for our meals there was 3 members of staff in the whole restaurant. Food was cold and horrible .we saw our food waiting in the bar for ages . Just in general awful.
We enjoyed several meals at the Paul…
We enjoyed several meals at the Paul Pry in Peterborough recently and wanted to express how well the staff did in making us feel welcome there. The staff were attentive, friendly and were keen to ensure our visit there was an enjoyable one.
Zero stars
My experience at Table Table Bluebrick in Wolverhampton was awful. On arrival I was unable to even access the entrance as there were football fans gathered outside drinking and smoking thanks to the kiosk that was set up serving beer. I was visiting with a young child and had to push my way through the crowd as no one bothered to move when I said excuse me. My friend was also with me and had her baby in a pram and struggled to get through. Once inside I was shown to my table and was not even offered a highchair for my child, I ended up getting my own from the car and my friend had to search for one for her baby. I asked about where to put in my car registration for free parking, it was at this point that I was told that there was no free parking on match days. Although I was annoyed by this, I asked where I could pay for parking as I did not want to be fined for not paying. The staff member was not very helpful and just said there's a machine somewhere outside. As it turns out I would not have been able to see the machine as it was hidden by the crowd of football fans outside. As the first staff member had not been helpful I asked another one. She told me that I did not have to pay and that I just had to put in my car reg, I told her that this was the opposite of what the other lady had said and she said she would find out from someone for me. At this point I was mindful that I had been parked for a while and had still not paid and was very worried especially since staff members could not agree on what the protocol was. I went outside to have a look for myself, it was then that I saw the signs saying there was no free parking on match days and that parking was to be paid for when leaving. I understand that there is signage stating that it is paid parking on match days, the problem is that you do not see these signs until you have already entered the car park and the ANPR has taken your reg, so if you choose to leave then you will still have to pay. I also think it is disgraceful that you have to pay to park at a pub where you are already paying to dine.
When I came back inside the staff member came back to me and said you have to pay for parking first, I told her I had been outside to look and the sign says you pay after. We went back and forth like this until I finally said would you like me to go back out and take a picture of the sign to show you? She gave up at this point and I was dismayed at the lack of knowledge that the staff were showing.
We ordered our food and drinks and I had no complaint about the food itself. However our drinks were served in plastic cups with none of the garnishing mentioned on the menu. We let staff know and they served our drinks in glasses but still without the garnish. We couldn't be bothered to tell them again so we just drank them but this wasn't really acceptable at £3 for a drink that was non alcoholic.
When we finished we paid the bill and left. Now due to the delays we had when trying to get through the crowd and sort out parking payment, we were just over the 2 hours parking that would have cost £2, as a result we were charged an astronomical £5! I could have parked for less in Birmingham Town centre! It didn't end here though. On arrival I had to park in a space next to a drain that was overflowing due to a lack of available spaces. When I went back to my car I found that while we were inside eating, the drain had been cordoned of using bins and tape. The problem was they had done it so close to my car that I was unable to open my door to put my child in his car seat. No one had bothered to find out who the car belonged to and ask them to move it. Thankfully, my friend who was travelling separately to me had not yet left. She was able to stay with my child while I pulled my car forward and parked it in the middle of the road so that I could gain access to my door. If she hadn't been with me I don't know what I would have done.
All in all it was a terrible experience and I can't see myself returning and I'm put off by going to any Table Table in the future. I am not a football fan and can't be expected to know every time there is a match on so that I can time my visit and avoid exorbitant parking charges.
It has been almost 2 weeks since my visit and I sent the complaint almost immediately and did not get a response. I even asked for an update prior to posting this review to give them a chance to respond but they ignored that too. Also they do not provide an email address for complaints, just a feedback form that has a word limit so I had shorten my complaint considerable and send it on 2 separate forms.
Orions Way, Glasgow
Food and service was up to this branch's usual high standard.
Just been to Dalkeith table table
Just been to Dalkeith table table , and I’m afraid not the best experience.Arrived at 4pm and and received our meal at 5-30, after politely asking staff where our meals were .
One meal was sent back Thai curry ! Which was disgusting, festive meal was cold , our side order did not arrive ,told waitress she apologised and stil nothing arrived . Yet charged on bill .had to ask for plates to be cleared , not once were asked if things were ok ? No member of management came to apologise about our meal . Drinks lay empty not 1 member of staff asked if we would like a top up , !! The staff in my opinion seemed poorly trained, also no uniform just jeans n rubbers on . Afraid to say potentially our last visit . Have been before and never a problem .
Lousy lunch on Christmas Day
My husband I went to a Tabletable for lunch on Christmas Day. We had booked for 2.00 pm and when we arrived there were a lot of people waiting. We had a glass of Prosecco while we waited and eventually got shown to our table. A waiter appeared and asked if we wanted another drink which we declined.
He brought our starters after 20 minutes. My “fondue” was disgusting. The delicious taste of cheese was missing, it was a bit like a thick white sauce. After we’d finished eating we waited 15 minutes for someone to clear our table then we waited another 15 minutes to get our main course. We both had roast beef as we don’t like turkey. The beef was tough as old boots, the Yorkshire pudding was soggy and the vegetables cold. What was annoying is they didn’t present the veg in dishes for people to serve themselves, everyone was dumped onto a plate. They didn’t ask what veg we wanted, I have a particular loathing for sprouts and they dominated the plate.
After we finished eating it took ages for the plates to be cleared and more time for the puddings to arrive. At least they got that right, the Christmas Pudding was nice but there was no choice available, you had brandy flavoured custard, take it or leave it. When the people at the next table saw our pudding being served they kicked up a fuss because they had finished their main course long before we did.
We thought about complaining but there was no one to complain to. We couldn’t ask them to take a small amount off the bill because we had to pay for the meal in advance.
We couldn’t wait to get home for a nice cup of tea and home made mince pie.
The service was truly appalling. I’m not blaming the waiting staff, they did their best. There just weren’t enough of them.
Exceptional service at Newmarket Restaurant …
Celebrated an early Christmas with family at the Newmarket restaurant. We were served by Tom who I have to say has excellent customer service skills. From the moment we walked in the door he made us feel so welcome and nothing was too much trouble. He was serving lots of other tables but was extremely efficient and friendly. The food was delicious too and we wholeheartedly recommend the Christmas dinner and the desserts from the festive menu. Really good value as well. Tom even took the time to help me register my loyalty card. I have worked in customer services for years and would like to say Tom is certainly a credit to your team. Well done!
Face like thunder at Derby Lodge Huyton.
Derby Lodge Huyton. 4.35 pm Saturday 25th November 2023.
Been using the Derby Lodge for 33 years. Seen good times and bad times. Good management. Bad management. Good staff. Bad staff. Today was a bad one.
Called in for a meal. Place very quiet. Bar empty. No staff visible. Stood waiting for a table. Restaurant very quiet. Lack of staff. Waited and waited. Then waited some more. Saw a blonde girl at the computer so asked could we book a table. A smile would've cracked her face. She snapped, "wait there and I'll deal with you." No good afternoon or any kind of welcome from her.
We waited. Then we waited some more. Nothing. No staff at bar still so we left. Obviously, Derby Lodge is making so much money, it can afford to be abusive to customers.
Visited swinging bridge after shopping…
Visited swinging bridge after shopping spree at the Trafford centre with family for burger and chips sat down in the bar area got the drinks first and my pint of larger tasted strange I proceeded to take my drink back only to be told that no one else had complained this was not what I wanted to hear so we left the swinging bridge and went around the corner to weatherspoons got burger and chips and a decent pint with no backchat there.

Nice run resururant at Orion Way Glasgow next to premier inn. Nice food and service. Staff freindly and quick service. Just needs a bit of refresh.
Visited 'The Aspley' in Huddersfield…
Visited 'The Aspley' in Huddersfield for lunch with the family, the staff were nonchalant and disinterested but polite, food was average but expensive for what it was and who allowed the barmaid to wear an off the shoulder floppy beige cardigan over her uniform and Converse trainers.
Outstanding service offered
The service we received visiting the Paul Pry in Peterborough was outstanding. The food was excellent and all reasonably priced. A particular mention to Jan who was our waitress, she ensured our whole dining experience was a success.
Superb ambience, Great food. Excellent staff
We visit the Table Table Restaurant ( Cheadle Royal ) quite often. Always receive a very friendly reception and are now well known to several staff members notably Kirsty and Karen. Lovely ambience and one feels quite relaxed. Kirsty and Karen look after us very well. The food is excellent and is good value for money. Well recommended.
Poor Customer Service
Table Table Restaurant - Cheadle Royal
On Wednesday, 8/3/23, I purposely chose to visit Poynton to do some shopping and have lunch at Cheadle Royal in order to use a 40% off food voucher.
Although, I would not normally wish to highlight the following point, I have mobility issues and can only leave the house with the help of another person, to enable me to manage my wheelchair, and the obstacles we encounter, an awful lot of planning goes into a day out.
We arrived at approximately between 13:00-13:30 hrs.
A couple of gentlemen also helpfully assisted us in managing the doors that cannot be wedged open, I never would have been able to do that on my own.
We presented ourselves at the reservations desk to be greeted by a frantic member of staff who announced, 'I won't be able to seat anybody else today'. Dismayed, we looked at her and each other and she then said, 'there is no point in waiting'. We looked on in astonishment and she further announced, a member of the kitchen staff has just walked out.
We were left dumbfounded and dismissed, without even a hint of an apology, all four of us and we departed!
Upon returning to the car, a further three customers were also turned away.
I was upset, my first visit to that particular restaurant, we last went to Swinging Bridge and more frequently to the George & Dragon, other restaurants within the chain and had always had good experiences.
I have never encountered such an experience, and in order to highlight our experience to the management/customer services team I sent a 'COMPLAINT' email, wondering if they were aware of such problems.
Explaining that, sadly, this experience left me wondering if I would ever be met with such rudeness again, and queried the fact that if I was to be encouraged to visit one of the companies restaurants again, I would appreciate an explanation and some form of recompense.
The reply came back as follows:
