If I could rate Tango 0 stars, I would.

If I could rate Tango 0 stars, I would. DO NOT DO IT TO YOURSELF.

They have been charging me energy bills for an empty unit (loads of other reviews saying the same thing). Calls daily asking to pay the bill. Never any solution. Customer service non-existent. On hold for 30 minutes at a time.

They say their rates are cheap, but they make up the bills. Please save yourself the aggravation. Avoid at all costs.

Incompetent

I was told by the Tango Energy Customer Staff person that "your application wasn't processed because you rang us outside of office hours." She then told me that she had processed my application even though she isn't allowed to do that just like the previous representative wasn't allowed to but also said she had. Yes, Tango Energy Customer service staff are that bad.

Query resolved amicably

I have been with Tango for many years and never really had a problem until a recent query in the peak Tier 1 and 2 pricing. After finally getting through to a manager named Jess, my query was answered within 30 seconds much to my delight. Unfortunately it did take perseverance on my behalf but I reached a more than satisfactory conclusion due to the professionalism and management skills of Jess.

One word - AVOID

On 13 February, I attempted to connect electricity with Tango Energy. Despite ensuring all switches were off, I received an after-hours SMS stating the connection failed because ‘the main switches were in the on position.’ This was incorrect. The same issue occurred on 14 February. When I called Tango Energy’s customer service they informed me they couldn’t attempt another connection until 18 February, which would have left me without power over the weekend and Monday making it a total of five days.

Their customer service was unhelpful and completely dismissive. Frustrated, I contacted the Energy Ombudsman, who promptly intervened. Within 15 minutes of their directive, my electricity was connected - a resolution I attribute entirely to the Ombudsman rather than Tango Energy acting ethically.

This experience highlights Tango Energy’s poor communication, lack of urgency, and bad customer service. I rarely leave 1-star reviews, but I strongly advise others to consider alternative providers to Tango Energy. Their online reviews across other platforms paint a consistently bleak picture for the customer.

I have ceased communication with Tango Energy’s Customer Relations Team on the basis of their unconscionable conduct, and will leave my matter in the hands of the Energy and Water Ombudsman.

In Exchange for Cheap Rates, Expect Grief

Make what you will...

1. When I signed with Tango, I told them that the front gate would be locked, but I could provide photo readings. They agreed and I signed. After the first account, they sent me a letter threatening to disconnect me if I missed 3 readings!

2. I have a direct debit set up. After a few successful payments, I received an overdue notice about 2 weeks ago. It turns out there was an IT problem at Tango, and it would be sorted.

3. Today I received another overdue notice, this time threatening collection if I did not pay in a week!!! That was the straw that broke the deal.

As soon as I can, I am moving to another company, even if I have to pay more.

Customer Service gone DOWNHILL!

I once was an avid fan of Tango but in the recent times they have sent Customer Service abroad and the wait times are out of control.
I also used the 'call back' service twice and neither time was I called back.
Further to that I closed my accounts and requested the direct debits be cancelled and was assured they were only to have the direct debits come out the very next month leaving me short for my other bills.
Will never be using Tango again and wont be recomending to anyone either.

Tango Energy Gas Is Pretty Good But Can Become Better!

Tango Energy Gas is reasonable good. The customer service is very helpful if you need any help, to answer any questions.

Prices for both electricity and gas need to be made cheaper and I would like to have them come down much more so that the customer can save money on the Electricity and Gas bill. But over all pretty good but certainly has room to become better and cheaper!
